My symptoms are: i've been very moody, emotional, tired, nauseous, loss of appetite, bloated, my stomach feels sensitive.
I'm a diabetic and my sugar has been fine.
I'm on Yasmin but accidental skipped 4 tablets last week.
Could i be pregnant or just tired?
I've been on the pill for about 15 years or so. I've been on yasmin then yaz.
I stopped the pill at the end of February and noticed that my hair is falling out a LOT!
I've also had a change in diet and lost about 9 kilos in about 4 months. I have polycystic ovaries and endometriosis as well.
I'm afraid that because I went off the pill, I'm losing my hair.
Is there anything I can do to stop the hair thinning. I'm terrified right now and will try anything.
I have been taking Nuvaring but have been having breakthrough bleeding. I have extra packets of the birth control pill Yasmin, I took it because I had sex and was unsure if I was protected. Is it okay to take Nuvaring and Yasmin at the same time?

View 1 RepliesI was taking Levora birth control and increasingly had mood swings, depression, etc. the longer I took it. After four months I decided I am just not the same person on it and my symptoms are very evident to those around me (not to mention the increased acne and water weight!) My doctor suggested the NuvaRing as it is a different way that hormones are released into your body. Has anyone struggled with emotional and mental symptoms on the pill and switched to NuvaRing and had success?
View 1 RepliesI started Yasmin a year ago (21 active pills and a week break. Always start the pack on a Sunday) to help with my PMS symptoms. I've been quite happy with them with the only exception that my period always starts about a week before my last active pill (I don't stop taking them when this happens, just take them as usual until the 21 days are over). My doctor said this can happen and that it's nothing to worry about.
Now I am going to visit my boyfriend from the 17th to the 25th september and would hate to be on my period then . I got my period today and i still have 7 pills left, so again, it's a week early. Looking at the calendar if my next cycle goes like this i'd start my period in the midst of my visit. If i wanted to postpone/skip my next period should i continue taking my next 21 pills without a break after i finish this pack? And then a third pack after which i'd have a weeks break? Or could this cause my period to come even earlier because my body is not used to this?
I found out I was deficient about three weeks ago.After months, almost a year of feeling weak..weaker on one side...tired, no energy, pale color, moody, bleeding gums and sore mouth.Sometimes feeling chilled and yet at night I would sweat more when I slept. All my pain markers have been elevated proving inflammation but I tested negative to R A. I've Been taking 5000 iu's daily of D...my calcium was low too but I'm told I can get extra in my diet. I have also started Salmon and Fish oil supplement. After just one week of supplements I felt a difference. I had realized there were two days I hadn't needed pain medication.then on the 8th day I had forgot my vit D and hadn't realized till that night because I was trying to understand why I was stiff and sore and basically crawled up the stairs. Would one day make that difference? I found since..I'm feeling just as poorly...needing medication for my discomfort, bleeding gums and sore mouth...heaviness in my legs and tired tired tired. Irealize iI was months of being depleted and it will take more than one week to feel 100%...are these symptoms similar to yours as i'd love to hear some comments
View 2 Repliesit's been 1 month and 1 weeks since i had my baby i went Dr on my 1 month check up for birth control started taking Viorele birth control 2 days after Dr checkup and I took 2 pills on tuesday afternoon since I missed Monday continued taking 1 pill at 7am for Wednesday ,Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday had unprotected sex Sunday afternoon and took the pill in the morning at 7 am can it protected me from being pregnant or not.

View 2 RepliesI consider myself to still be new to taking the pill as a form of birth control. Just when I think I have it figured out, something new would happen which would make me doubt it's effectiveness.
I am currently using Chateal, which contains 21 active pills and 7 placebo pills. After 6 months of taking it as directed, I assume my body should be used to the side effects. I would get nausea from taking it so I switched to taking it at night. I have been taking it that way for 3 months now.
But I have noticed since first started taking it, I would get severe cramps and backaches during the second week of the pack for a few days. I assumed I was ovulating while on the pill because I noticed my cervical mucus changes throughout the month. My understanding though is the pill is to prevent ovulation thus preventing pregnancy.
Can you ovulate while on the pill? Is my birth control pill type too low of a dose for me? Could it be something else?
I'm 14, and due to really heavy periods and being anemic I was put on Nacrez (I think it's exactly the same drug as Cerazette just unbranded.) Anyway, when I was on it I started to feel really really depressed and so the doctors put me on antidepressants. That helped a bit, but confused as to why I had been feeling depressed I googled cerazette depression, and I was so surprised to find that literally hundreds and hundreds of people had been feeling sad, moody and depressed like myself. And so, after two months i made the decision to come off them. That was the day before yesterday. But the thing is, since coming off them I have been feeling even worse. So, so bloated, stomach cramps, and even more depressed?? How long should it take before these horrible symptoms go?

View 7 RepliesI was prescribed gabapentin by my ent specialist for sinus headaches which i still suffer from after three operations. I have been taking 300mg six times a day for about 18 months and have found that i have become moody, anxious, and find it very difficult to unwind or hold a decent conversation with anyone as my concentration level seems to be next to nothing. Does anyone think this could be the tablets?
View 1 RepliesI know this is going to sound strange, but I seriously want to know if anyone here has the answer to this question. I am going to be 55 yrs old in March. I have been on birth control pills most my life, but I went to a new doctor (GYN) years ago, and she told me that I didn't need to be on them because there was no possible way I could become pregnant at 53 without medical intervention.
I left her office happy until my sister told me that the doctor is WRONG and that I could get pregnant at 55! I don't have any idea if I have been through menopause, but I've not had any signs if I have. I called the doctors office back and talked to my previous doctor who wouldn't "confirm" if I could or couldn't, but she suggested I take the mini-pill (progesterone only). I am really sick of the pill and wanted to just stop taking it, but don't want to be foolish. Does anyone here know if this is a fact or not that at 55 I wouldn't be able to become pregnant anyway if off of the pill?
After taking 4tabs after unprotected sex after 120 hours and 4 tabs again after 12 hours? What would be the next time to take the emergency pill? And what dose?

How do I take my pills now? The instructions are unclear to me because I'm freaking out.
I have been having joint pain, general body pain, fatigue, depression and anxiety for years. I was dx with fibro about 3 years ago. It was first suspected almost 20 years ago. My mouth and eyes are painfully dry. My lips constantly crack. I recently had a PAP done and the GYN remarked how dry my vagina was (I'm not sexually active so I never noticed).
I recently saw a rheumatologist here in the State (I had previously seen one in Korea). She did a bunch of blood work. My Vit D was 28 (reference range was 30-70). RF, ANA were negative. CRP not done, but has been elevated in the past (multiple draws over a two year period, but none in the last year). ESR was 58 and has been elevated for 20 years (I went through a lot of blood work in high school and nothing was ever found, but it was with ID, not Rheum).
Rheum was next to useless. She said the sed rate wasn't relevant and that there was no need to worry about the Vit D (which was lower in the past) even though I was taking 2000 IU a day.
After talking to my GP, he had me increase the D supplement to 4000 IU/day. He also wrote me a new referral to a different rheum. This one specializes in seronegative arthritis.
I try to be an informed consumer. Current rheum just wants to throw more pills at the issue without getting to the root of it. It seems like if I go in with a fibro dx, everything must be fibro. How do I approach this new appointment (in September!!) to finally figure things out? This new doctor will be in the UH system as are all my other docs. I think she'll have access to previous lab results, if not I can pull them up in my EMR.
I could use words of wisdom, advice, a kick in the butt (if necessary), etc.
I stopped my pill and within 3 weeks I noticed a lot of hair loss, mainly when I wash my hair I notice a lot in the plug hole and in my hair brush.
But also a few Days ago ,I put a leave in conditioner in my hair when it was dry and my hands were full of hair?
I'm not sure what is going on I have had my first natural period so thought after that things would settle down but Its still happening ,and I've been off the pill (yasmin) for about 6 weeks now, it's so distressing.
I take multivitamins every day I just don't know what else to do, I feel fine in myself.
