I have high blood pressure and I have renal panel test done every 4-5 months. This is my 4 time and my results came back with increased creatinine 1.68 ( maximum range 1.4) and my gfr was 48. Bun was within range.
Last time when I performed the test 4 months backs the creatinine value was 0.96.
My doctor switched me from tribenzor to axor as my bp reading were normal around 110/70. I test my bp at home weekly and they never cross 120/80.
Can I get my creatinine and egfr values improved or am I professing fast on ckd.

I recently decided to get a blood test done for HSV 1 and 2. No typical symptoms, but I was reading that some people never have any symptoms, so I wanted to get checked out. I have had about 10 total sexual partners, and only one that I really gave oral sex to. A few women I just kissed a bit down there, but I have always used a condom. I have noticed a slightly red fordyce on my scrotum, and some small zits around my mouth. I also take coconut oil as a general health supplement, one tablespoon a day and use it on my face before bed. I know that it can inhibit viruses including herpes, but I was wondering if it would affect a PCR or an Antibody test for the virus? I expect labs back Monday, and hopefully it comes back negative, if so I will still have to get retested in a few months since I have had recent partners.

Im 40 and was diagnosed with high bp 4 months ago and an underactive thyroid the doc thinks my thyroid may be to blame. I was originally on amplodine but this caused bad swelling in my feet and legs but it brought my pressure down to normal. The doc changed me to ramipril which doesnt seem to be as effective but i have no side effects! I had this stool with bright red blood yesterday and today. I couldn't tell how much blood there is but the water became bright red with 50% visibility (I looked at the stool ). I don't feel any pain and I feel nothing at all on my body. The day before I had the stool with blood, I drank four cups of green tea. I know tea is acidic but I am not sure if this is the cause of it. My urine is fine and without blood.

Are these two tests the same thing? Also, we are having trouble reading my mother's blood tests - and yes we have an upcoming appt but the office is very busy. She has a Protein/Creatinine ratio of 4.75. Her U creatinine is 60 and her protein is something like 13.
There isn't a normal range for the Protein/Creatinine ratio, though I know in the past it's been something like 0.83. Her blood creatinine was steady for her ... 1.9 and her GFR steady for her at 28. So...I don't get how the protein can be so much higher than it was before.
Every time I look up protein/creatinine ratio - I keep getting "albumin" results. Is this the same test?

I am 31 years old and had a vaginal sex with a girl of unknown HIV status using two condoms at a time. It was my first sexual encounter. I ejaculated twice and both times I used double condoms as I changed after first ejaculation. Both times the condoms seemed to be intact and I could see my semen inside the condom. It's almost over 28 days now and since the past couple of days I have developed almost all symptoms like pain in the back (I have a history of L3 compression and pelvic hairline fracture in 2007), cough with something in throat, body ache, night sweats, hot flashes throughout the body, had stiffness and pain in the back of neck, not visible swollen lymph nodes , had two time kind of diarrhea today.

I am a 28 year old male and have been having some stomach problems as of late. I have been to my doctor and let her know what has been going on and she thinks it is caused by anxiety. ( I have been diagnosed with GAD). My Bowels are very predictable, I go 2-3 times every morning and they are usually well formed then get softer as I go more. Then as the day goes on I will not have to have a BM but more feel like I have a big (for lack of a better term) wet fart coming on. Today I looked in the toilet after one of these times and saw a small amount of bright red blood. This scared the crap out of me so i have been trying to go again to see if it continued and it did same very small amount of blood that kind of looks like it is mucusy. Has anyone ever had anything like this happen?? I do have a check up scheduled in early april. Should i wait or get in sooner? I feel like it could just be irritation because I have frequent BM. I am trying to keep a level head about this and not automatically think its bowel cancer of some kind.

Like many others here, I am in rather deep despair. Although I have a girlfriend, I went to a body-to-body massage parlour. The masseuse rubbed her body over my body, using also her vagina (along my legs, etc.). I fingered her, mostly on the outside, but also briefly on the inside. Although our genitals did not touch (except perhaps incidentally very very briefly), I am very concerned about STDs. What are the risks? How long should I wait before having sex with my girlfriend? There was no oral, no visible sores, often a few seconds of digital penetration, but she certainly touched my penis after having been in contact with my finger that was inside of her (not immediately).
I would be very grateful for any advice/words from experience with this sort of thing. Has anyone here received an STD in this way?
Adrenal Disorders :: Low Blood Pressure With High Cortisol And Fast Heart Rate
I had my AM cortisol tested and it came out high. I did the blood test while fasting about 1 hour after I woke up.
My AM cortisol: 33.7 (normal range 6.2-19.4)
Could the high cortisol be the cause of my symptoms:fast heart rate (gets worse with exertion), sweating, and 15 pound weight loss, trouble sleeping?
I was researching it online and my symptoms seem to fit more with those with low cortisol than high cortisol. I've been to 5 doctors and went to the ER once because I've been feeling so terrible the past 4 months. My AM cortisol is the first thing to come out abnormal. All thyroid, liver, etc. tests come out perfectly within the normal range.
Kidney :: Creatinine Is At 4.1mg/dl?
My mom was having problem with vomiting for like 3 years.Anything she ate she vomited.This had up and down intensity. About 6 month ago we saw a gastronomy dr and he did endoscopy and the result showed h pylori. he did not prescribe antibacteria right away.Instead he prescribed among other medicine Domperidone BP 10 mg to stop the vomiting .After a month he gave pylocure (AMOXICILLIN + CLARITHROMYCIN + RABEPRAZOLE) for 14 days.My mom did not take them then.Then one day she had chicken wings at night and blood showed up in stool the later morning. We took her to doctors and did a colonoscopy, it showed she had polyp and ulcer. This time we finished the 14 day triple therapy and she ate according to a chart i made,no oily or spicy food or fatty food.Yesterday we did another endoscopy and it showed the bacteria was gone,at least I think so as the result shows everything normal. But mom was very weak and throughout the 14 days she was taking the antibacterial she had been vomiting only water. Her mouth tasted bitter. She stopped taking anti bacteria from yesterday and no more water vomiting till now. She was very weak and we admitted her to a hospital. The dr did some tests and it showed she had Creatinine at 4.1mg/dl . She also had low sodium and dr said to take table salt.
She has been taking for diabetes and other problems like :1.oramet 850 mg( Metformin hydrochloride 850 mg)
2.osartil 50 Losartan Potassium USP 50 mg
3.Mecolagin Chewable Tablet: Each tablet contains Mecobalamin INN 0.5 mg.
4.Jointec Max is a combination of Diacerein and Glucosamine for the treatment of osteoarthritis and joint pain.
For h pylori and vomiting:
5. pylocure (AMOXICILLIN + CLARITHROMYCIN + RABEPRAZOLE) she stopped that now
6. omidon(Domperidone BP 10 mg)
After dr saw the creatinine level, he stopped Mecolagin and gave another chewable tablet Simethicone 40 mg
Now she is taking :Simethicone 40 mg,oramet 850 mg, Domperidone BP 10 mg,table salt
Dr also gave her Emistat 8 mg injection and Esonix 40mg Inj yesterday only.
Kidney :: My BUN 23 And Creatinine 38.3
So I'm a little worried only because I'm a worry wart. I got my blood results back from the doctor today and was emailing him and he says I have nothing to be worried about but this is the first time I've ever felt like I need a second opinion with him. When I reviewed my results the only items that stuck out to me was that my Monocyte was 7.2, BUN 23, and the one that worried me most of all was my BUN/creatinine was 38.3.

I'm a bit alarmed. I just had my 3 month check up with the doctor. I've never had any kidney problems before. My Creatinine is 2.0 and my GFR is 34. I am recovering from some major oral surgery right now and I haven't been able to eat as I normally do. Less food. I was wondering if this oral surgery and my diet could have anything to do with my test results? My doctor wants me back in his office in 6 days to discuss this test. If you have anything to share, that would be awesome!
