I'm running on BC coils and was wondering how low do you have to go until you get some natural camber?
I lowered my car by 3" already but no natural camber has occured yet.

I recently became the proud owner of a 2004 Camry, 2.4L, AT. Since gas(petrol) prices are touching the sky in this part of the world, I got it converted to CNG(Natural gas) promptly. After 3 days of smooth driving on natural gas, I got the dreaded Check Engine Light. The error code being thrown up is P1135 and upon reset is comes back again almost instantly.
Since this happened after 3 days of running smoothly on CNG, the kit installer is feigning ignorance. Moreover, the light stays on even on petrol mode. None of the original fittings were disturbed by the CNG installer but one of the oxygen sensor wires was stripped(not cut) and attached with another wire which provides input to the CNG kit. This wire was promptly disconnected by the installer to prove that it has nothing to do with the CNG installation, and the CEL still comes on.
While I do understand that the o2 sensor can go bad anytime but this is too much of a co-incidence. On the other hand, the car did run fine for 3 days after the installation so that should rule out the CNG kit as a possible culprit. I don't want to go about randomly changing the o2 sensor, etc.
I have a 2004 Camry and I got an alignment at Firestone they rep told me that my rear left camber alignment is off, my right camber alignment is is within range.
Actual :-2.3 Range -2.0.-0.5
He recommended I change my struts as Toyota does not specify rear camber adjustment. Is this normal on car with 160k on it ?. I have seen several chamber kits out there should I just get one and go somewhere else for them to realign it with the kit ?
I have a 2005 Prius that my son has been using for the last couple of months... He just called me this evening and asked if I had ever had a rotten egg or natural gas smell coming from the a/c. I have not... the car only has 30,000 miles on it and I have never had any issues (knock on wood). He shut down the a/c rolled down the windows and drove on flow-through ventilation for a while and the smell dissipated. However the minute he turned the a/c back on the smell returned. I should probably mention that this car is being operated in Las Vegas... so I am pretty sure mildew is off the suspect list.
View 9 RepliesI have a 2005 Audi Allroad and sometimes when I get in the car after work there is a strong natural gas smell in the car which goes away after I drive away. I park in an underground garage so for a while I thought it was the garage but I have smelled it on the week ends now too occasionally at home parked in the drive way. I also have a freakishly accurate sense of smell and have often detected smells others could not. I am sure it is not a gasoline smell but a natural gas like smell. What this could be?
View 5 RepliesSo I finally bagged my GTI...When I am aired out it looks like one side has more camber than the other side (One side rests on the tire and the other side is tucked more).
I took it to get aligned and apparently the rear have both been set 2.7 degrees camber.
I'm running Dorbritrz D-cups and SS-5s in the rear.
2010 Prius, replacing my tires for the first time at 43K miles, got alignment and shop told me that my rear camber and toe is out and needs shims, measurements are amber left -1.2, right -2.2 toe left 0.40, right 0.15.
View 4 RepliesNotice the camber on the rear, it is kinda off.I already notice the first day I got my car. never paid attention. I did my spring install put the new wheels, went to a shop to align it and still i can see that there is a negative camber on the rear. Vw tech are saying it is normal for the front wheel drive like our car.
Prolly the cambers are not adjustable. Is the rear toe adjustable? after alignment my passenger side rear is straight but the driver side rear is off. i did check on the adjustable parts on the rear but i cannot see one. am I missing something.
I am running fk coils, and for some reason the front driver side camber is -1.2 and it won't adjust at all. The passenger side is -2.2 and won't adjust. I was told that the the R's oem camber can be adjusted up to -1.7.
I have no camber kits on the car. I told my Mechanic why the camber doesn't adjust. He told me that he over looked everything and that he didnt see anything wrong.
I had my front shocks replaced because they were blown. It bothers me how one side has -1 more camber than the other side. I am thinking about buying camber kit because of this problem I'm having.
My car is bagged with the airlift front struts. wondering if there is any way to get more camber in the front without the performance struts.
View 8 RepliesI called 2 VW dealerships but they couldn't give me an answer on how much adjustment for camber is possible. I did the search but only found rear camber adjustment info.
View 2 RepliesI am getting some coilovers soon, but noticed a lot of people having camber issues when slammed, I am not looking to be on the ground, just wanna get rid of wheel gap. My goal is to have 1 finger between the tire and wheelwell. Is this doable without issues?
View 8 RepliesI had a bud of mine make shims and gave me some negative camber in the back, and in the front, I maximized the camber bolt on my bc coils, this is per alignment stage. when I drive, the car feels a lil wobbly, is this normal? and will alignment fix the problem, or is this just part of the lowered/cambered life?
View 1 RepliesMy rear camber is different from driver side and pass. the ride height is the same, looking from where the fender tucks the tire. but if you look from the rear it cambers in more. I don't know the problem.
View 23 RepliesI have 2015 Rc350 F, with 13k miles on it and my right Front Camber Ball Joint is leaking greasy oil. Do I need to replace this or can this be covered under warranty? I have lowered springs on which I don't think has affected the camber ball.
View 4 RepliesI have been seeing and hearing conflicting information about alignments for cars lowered with air suspension. I was told there is nothing that can be done to adjust camber for tire wear on the cars with stock air. However, I have seen online that it can be adjusted with a smaller drop on the air. What is true and what isn't?
View 14 Repliesok, I have an 02 f-150 4x4 that I did the brakes, shocks, and inner and outer tie rod ends. When I was done, the truck sat higher in the front end and the caster/camber was way out. bottom of tire sits way in. Is this just and adjustment to the tie rods, or what. The old rod ends were pretty bad. Could this be the result of an alignment tech setting caster way out to account for the bad ball joints?
View 10 RepliesI had a 2012 Camry but has not found the TPM display on it. It has fuel info and trip history when push the CAR button. I thought it should be there. How do I locate or set it up? Or it is not standard on LE?
View 4 RepliesYesterday I took test drive of Toyota Camry SE 2012 (New). It was really good, except: When I came out of the car, I felt some change in vision and a bit of headache. The feeling was something similar to when you wear glasses which has significant number for a minute and then you take them off.I figured out this was because of the windshield having some distortions. So, are all new Camrys like this only or there was something wrong with that particular windshield?
View 8 RepliesGetting an ECM communications error and car won't start. Checked all the wires and didn't find anything wrong. When I put the car to the ON position the check engine light doesn't come on at all.
View 14 RepliesI have a problem with my TPMS ,light is always on ,a technician has told me that i have a camry 2012 TPMS on my tiers which doesn't work on camry 2009. Is that right?
