How to make the 2012 Camry SEV6 turn signals do the little 3 blink for changing lanes, llike the newer ones, or the corollas do... Is it impossible???
View 14 RepliesAs i kid i hated seeing people make there turn signals blink faster but know as i got older I like it, so on my 2011 camry and i want to make the turn signals blink faster. Not too fast but a little faster. I know I need a flasher but i can't find one for the Camry. I know I have to remove the instrument cluster.
View 14 Replies2004 Prius here. The turn signals and hazard lights stopped working a few days ago. I found a disconnection in the grounding and repaired it. Also replaced the fuse and the flasher switch. Now the lights work, and I can hear the flasher switch clicking, but they don't blink!
View 13 RepliesNo B5 posts since the variant has been running well....'til today, when I noticed irregular turn signal operations. This is for a B5.5, 2002. Occasionally they'd work as they should, but much of the time they'd blink a few times then stay off.
Continues to happen after shutting down the engine and restarting (was wondering if that would reset anything). I recall some sort of relay problem with the turn signals. Does this sound like what's going on?
Car is 2000 Corolla with 58k miles. Today, I had my hazard signals on while parked when suddenly....they stopped blinking. The signal lights in the dash just stay on...they do not blink. I also verified that both front and rear lights also turns on...it just doesn't blink.
The corolla has a fuse box under the hood in the drivers side. Here is the schematic for the fusebox: [URL] .....
From what little I know about mechanics/electricity, can I just pull the wiper fuse and put it into the turn signal fuse while I wait for a new fuse? Do I need to disconnect the battery?

How would I go about wiring the turn signals to be DRL instead of the high beams?
View 8 RepliesI have checked all fuses, checked wires on top of steering column all checked out ok. Hazards work but when I press brake tail lights just blink with no brake light but the 3rd brake light works??? Signal switch maybe??
View 14 RepliesGot 60K on my 2008 ES350 Ultra Lux edition. Feels like it rides on a pillow of air compared to my BMW. The car feels like it is going to roll over when I turn a corner or change lanes rapidly, so I'm guessing they are shot. Or is this how this car is meant to drive - like an overweight Cadillac Just bought the car so have no reference to what it was like new.

When cold after first starting, there's a very noticeable hesitation for a second or two when it makes the 5-6 shift at around 35 mph. I'm fairly sure it's 5-6 because if I hold it in 5th, it doesn't happen till I upshift to 6th. It almost seems like it's some kind of "in between" gears friction, like it hasn't quite let go of 5th but it's already started going into 6th. It's way less noticeable when the engine's warm.
The other issue is a bit of surge and hesitation in cruise control. It won't let you engage CC below a certain speed, around 25 mph. Faster than that, CC can be engaged, and I assume that if it's programmed to let you engage at that speed it should work properly. I have a daily drive on long stretch with a 35 mph speed limit, and I engage the CC. I can feel the engine surge and back off, surge and back off the entire time. OTOH, I can hold it at 35 with my foot, and no surging. I assume it's the interaction of the CC and the auto trans.
Is it worth even mentioning these issues to the dealer? In the past, I've had cars in for subtle problems like this, and they've first tried to persuade me that it's normal, then if I persisted, spent a fair amount of time with the car and didn't find anything. (I'm not referring to any specific dealer here). I don't want to waste a lot of time with the dealer for no results.
Rhe problem is that both sides blink fast the left one used to blink normally sometimes and fast again. All the light bulbs work and are not led. I found the problem on the right side : in the front the side light blinks but the drl doesn't blink with it. Now both sides blink fast. What part of the car i should check ?
View 3 RepliesI am getting ready to switch out the turn signal bulbs in my 2012 F150 to LED bulbs. I know on my previous truck (2006) I had to switch out the turn signal relay so the turn signal lights would not fast flash. On my 2012 it sounds like the flasher unit is up high in the dash board behind the instrument panel and I can't see it.
How to access it easily? I have seen on other forums the talk of there not being a flasher relay and being computer controlled, but there is one listed on Ford parts for the 2011 and 2012 F150s.
I did my research and it turns out I need a relay switch for my blinkers. these bulbs are bright but flash too fast..
How do the relay switches work, what do i plug them into and do I need one relay switch per blinker?
Just changed the engine oil on the 2012 TCH. I didn't pay close attention when I took the larger O-ring off the plastic canister and when I was putting a new one on, I wasn't sure where it fits.
There's a wider notch at the bottom of the threads. The new O-ring (Toyota Genuine) was a little bit lose fit in this spot, but this is where I put it as there seemed to be a angled bevel at the base of the filter mount where the canister fits into the engine. I did oil the O-ring and the bevel on the canister mount on the engine with new TGMO 0w-20. It was tightened to 25 Feet Lbs as listed on the plastic canister, but I could hear the friction with the O-ring. No leaks from what I can tell after the fill.
Then there's base of the flange on the plastic canister that sits flush to the base of the engine. The ring fit tight in this spot but then would be pinched between the engine and canister flange such that the canister flange won't make contact with the engine at all. I don't think this is where the larger O-ring should have gone.
Any pic of where exactly the large O-ring sits on the plastic canister?
I used the volt meter wrong while testing my turn signal bulbs for power and not they do not work (or hazard lights).
View 3 RepliesI have an '03 Ranger and the guys have figured out how to make the front side marker lights function as turn signal indicators..... I haven't tried it yet myself, but wonder if I could do the same thing with my Dually's fender clearance lights? I am currently running LEDs in there in amber for front and red for rear....they are nice and bright, but I think they would offer some added safety as well as looking neat too. May be I'll re-read the info on the Ranger site......
View 5 RepliesTurn signal lights into parking/turn signals (6th gen 2011 Camry LE)? I replaced my parking lights with a bright led that matches my headlights, but I would like my turn signals to be on when my parking lights are on.
For some reason I thought they turned on with the parking lights (my other cars do), so I bought some switchback led's and after I installed them I realized that my turn signals don't come on with the parking lights. Is this something I can do by swapping out a relay or with some minor wiring changes?
I am planning on getting the relay below to stop the hyper-flashing and am curious if it would do anything else, common sense makes be believe it will not since the lights don't currently don't turn on, but I am not 100% sure. Also, is 1 relay better than another? They all seem to be the same with the exception of some have controls to adjust the flash speed.

Hate the LED tails, but I can live with them if I must.
Very disappointed the tails have red turn signals.
how to modify for yellow turn signals?
My service advancetrac light comes on about once a month, seems random but when it does the turn signals will not work, you have to hold indicator in place for signals to work-not to safe. My local dealer has not been able to fix issue...
