Just noticed my front drivers side door hinges are loose.. looks like the sleeves are cactus. Just wondering if these can be re-sleeved or is it preferable to just order new hinges?

View 4 RepliesMy 2007 SWB LS 460 with 22,000 miles on it has required replacement of the driver's side door hinges twice and the passenger front door hinges once. This is obviously of concern, since the original fix on the driver's side failed again within 8 months. The car has light single driver use. My dealer says that Lexus "knows about" the problem.

I have tried pushing the door knob down and this wont budge either, took the door card off and can hear a clicking when you press the key fob but thats it lock does not move?
I Have A Bad Clunking Sound or Would Call It A Snapping Sound From The Drivers Side Front Of Car. 1998 Aurora. When You First Start Out It Makes That Sound Or Noise So To Speak.i Am Thinking It Is A Strut But It Rides Nice Over Any Bumps And Only Makes This Noise At Low Speed When First Starting Out. I Had Some Asshole Friend Of Mine In My Car A Few Weeks Back That Was All Drunk And Everything Who Decided To Put My Car In Park When I Was Going Down The Road At 45 Mph. The Car Stallled Right On The Spot But Started Right Up. And Only Started Having Problems A Few Weeks Later. Could This Be Related??? Should I Jack Car Up And Look For Something Specific???
View 2 RepliesI'm getting "popping" noises when braking from my front, drivers side suspension. Past knowledge tells me it's probably an upper control arm / Tie Rod/Swaybar link problem. Everything is nice and tight in there.
Also getting a violent "thumping" noise/feeling constantly when driving from the same side.
I just dropped it off at the dealer, and they are probably going to come back saying the upper control arm needs to be replaced (we will see).
My front drivers side pillar is flapping around and won't stay in the set position. It seems to be the washer that the one of the clips goes into (at the very bottom of the pillar) has corroded.
So firstly I am trying to take it off - but after reading the removal of windscreen instructions I see:
21. REMOVE FRONT BODY PILLAR OUTER RH
a) Remove the nut.
I can't see a nut and if it's under the pillar how do I access it?
And then
34: INSTALL FRONT BODY PILLAR OUTER RH
a) Exchange the clip with a new one
What clip is this referring to and what is the part number.
I'm getting a rubbing type of noise when i'm turn right and it sounds like a rubbing noise perhaps its a wheel bearing? how easy/hard is that to change. The noise is most notable when I'm on the highway and I'm making a left lane change or if I'm coming or going on a off ramp (left).
View 3 RepliesMy drivers side seat is loose as in it rocks back and forward when I accelerate or brake. I have checked all 4 bolts they are all tight. I can't explain what i see (perhaps I can take a picture or video) but something under the seat looks irregular as in it's moving and shouldn't be. I have ECP but Lexus wants to charge $140 just to look and see if it's covered under warranty.
View 2 RepliesI am a new Camry owner. I am very pleased with the vehicle so far, but I've noticed a strange buzzing/static sound coming from my driver's side front door.
I checked to see if anything was in the storage compartment on the doors (all of them in fact) but I saw nothing in there. I turned off the stereo system and I double checked that all the windows were closed, yet the sound persisted for about 5 minutes. This has happened intermittently for several days now, and seems to happen whenever I go over some rough surfaces.
Replacing the hinge pin and bushings on the barn door hinges? My drivers side upper hinge pin has completely sheared in two. I took it to the body shop today for replacement and they could not fix it. I think it was more labor intensive than they had imagined.
Anyway, they say I have to replace both the door side and the truck side hinge which are both welded on despite the bolts on the truck side. I found a site that retrofits the front door hinges and they have a special tool to press the old hinge pin out. Is this possible to press out the hinge, or should I try to drill them out?
My door hinges are noisy (creak sound) even more so since this spring mostly on the back doors. I've been using white lithium grease (lots of it) like it's suggested but it doesn't last (only a couple days) ...

The passenger side front door lock (electronic) stopped working a while back.
I fixed the drivers side issue when replacing the speakers in the car (driver side would stick and sometime not move by hand).
What is the best way to determine if the door lock actuator is dead or something else is wrong?
I need to locate the specs or blueprints of the rear cargo door hinges. Junkyards thus far, are not willing to sell just the hinges.

The front passenger door inside handle is loose, making it harder to open when pulling the handle.
Chrome Side Molding coming loose on passenger back door. I tried a clear silicon and clamped for 3 hours. Unclamped and trim is lifting back up ?
Looks like clip behind trim snapped. Any kind of glue or adhesive can be recommend that will work?
While clamping trim to door I put a crimp mark in trim. Somewhere down the road I will replace this crimped trim.
2001 GLS... Noticed the passenger front door window outer weather strip is loose at one end. Looks like a "tab" on the strip fits into a slot on the door panel. Since the tab is smaller that the slot, is there some kind of clip or something that holds the weatherstrip tab securely in the slot?

View 3 RepliesMy passenger side front and rear windows dont work. Both driver side windows work, just not the right side/passenger side.
Also when I press the master door lock/unlock switch on the driver seat, every door except the rear passenger door works. It stays unchanged so I guess it is not receiving a signal or something is not letting the signal reach the lock.
