Camry :: Gen 6.5 LE - Rattling Noise When Start The Car Which Gets Louder Whenever Accelerate

I just heard this noise today. It is right when i start the car in the morning. it is like a rattling noise, and it gets louder whenever i accelerate. But the thing is that after the car is warmed up, the noise is gone. is that normal? i checked the engine oil and it's close to full. and i cant see anythign wrong in my engine.

Camry :: Louder Ticking / Rattling And Clacking When Its Cold

My '07 I4 has 92K on it, I have only owned it for 450 miles of that. It has a bit of a rough idle sitting at a light, but fine otherwise, it did stall on me once at startup. I put some Seafoam in the fuel tank and ran that entire tank, I now have regular gasoline in it. The rough idle isn't any better but I have another issue.

The day after putting in the Seafoam, on a cold startup (36 degrees), I had a lot of valve/lifter/injector/VVT ticking, not sure which. It was worse that one time and it lasted for the first 4 miles of driving and only ticked when I was under load, not at idle.

As time has progressed I have no serious ticking, but it does make a louder ticking/rattling/clacking, whatever you want to call it, until it warms up, about 4 miles.

I heard reference to VVT issues or VVT gears, I'm used to my '06 Tacoma V6 and I know nothing about this issue.

Volvo - V70 :: 2000 - Rattling Noise Get Louder When Coasting

I have a 2000 Volvo V70 XC wagon AWD. I just purchased this car in January and it needed a lot of love and care. Here's my car question: I have a rattling noise that started about a week ago. Just this morning (on my way to the mechanic ironically/luckily) the rattling became very loud and apparent. The noise sounds something like a piece of metal rattling around in an empty coffee can. The noise seemed to go away when I was accelerating, get louder when coasting, and then slowed down in frequency (not volume) as the speed of my car slowed down.

My mechanic also isn't sure what's wrong. He has had himself and 2 other mechanics look at, in addition to hooking it up to machines and making phone calls to Volvo. He says the noise is unmistakably coming from my drive-shaft and that it sounds like it is traveling from one end of the drive shaft to the other. He also said it's odd because the place that the noise is coming from is just a shaft and shouldn't be making any noise?

Golf IV / Jetta IV :: GTI 1.8T Turbo Has Louder Whining Noise When Accelerate

I noticed last night that my cars turbo had a much louder whining noise when I accelerate. There is no blow off, doesn't sound like much air coming in and also there is not very much boost being put out at all. I've come to think that it may be a loose seal or gasket along the way but I'm sure hoping it isn't a pooched turbo... I don't have a boost gauge so checking boost pressure isn't an option right now. Just noticed from putting foot down but no boost.

My car is making a sort of whining noise; it sounds like some sort of tire noise, but I checked the tires and don't see anything that could be problematic. My husband checked to see if anything was rubbing, and doesn't find anything. The car is quiet when it is not moving, and the noise gets somewhat louder and slightly higher-pitched as I accelerate. It almost seems like the noise changed on a different road surface, but again, I don't see anything different with the tires. The car has about 140-150,000 on it. The noise has only been noticeable for a couple of weeks. No other problems, no change in steering or handling. No incident that I can think of that could have been a catalyst.

Camry :: 2003 / 4 Cyl - Slight Rattling Noise When Start The Engine

I have a 2003 Camry 4 cylinder with ~143K. When I start the engine I can hear a slight rattling noise. When I rev the engine the noise seems to go away (or it is just masked). I noticed the noise after the check engine light came on twice and I had it checked by an exhaust shop. The code was for an O2 sensor, but the exhaust shop said everything looked fine to them. This was about 7K ago. I jacked the car up a few weeks ago to check the exhaust for anything obvious, but couldn't find anything loose to explain the rattle.

I hit the exhaust pipe with my fist and heard a rattle a few times, maybe from the catalytic converter, but I am not certain. Everything runs/operates fine, smooth acceleration, fuel economy is unchanged, engine temperature is unchanged, but the noise persists. I don't know if it is just normal due to age and nothing to really worry about, or if it is the first sign of trouble. I have also noticed that I am using about 1/2 quart of oil between changes, but I'm fairly certain that started before this noise.

When I accelerate I notice a rattling noise almost each time. Is it bad gas? I have been getting gas (90-95% of the time) at the same gas station for years, including the whole time with my 2011.

Also for the first time today i got an error message on my screen for the radio that says something to the effect that the USB has too much power consumption and will not run.

When I powered off and powered back on after lunch it started working again. I never had either problem with my 2011.

Saturn - SL2 :: 1994 - Rattling Noise When Accelerate Above 2000 RPM

When I accelerate above 2000 RPM, a rattling noise (almost like when a kettle is sitting atop the stove and the water is boiling) comes from under the hood. The sound does not get louder as I accelerate above 2000 RPM (i.e. the sound is constant as long as the engine is above 2000 RPM). I took it to the mechanic, he said that the serpentine belt assembly needed tightening but that did nothing to eliminate the sound. I'm concerned it might be my timing chain. As soon as the engine decelerates below 2000 RPM (say when I put the car in neutral) the noise disappears. It is a 1994 Saturn SL2, manual transmission.

Camry :: 2007 SE V4 - Car Noticeably Louder Like Low Grumbling / Grinding Noise

My issue is my camry has gotten considerably louder. I know its currently winter but even with good weather and its idle still gets noticeably loud. has like a low grumbling, grinding noise. The car has about 72k miles on it i do my oil change roughly every 5k miles. i put full synthetic 0w-20 into the engine. As of late have been working a lot about 2 weeks ago i checked the oil levels and it didn't register on the dip stick. went to my friends house the next day and did an oil change. added 0w-20. fwe also replaced the valve cover gasket this past sunday as well as the spark plugs. I'm not sure if the lack of oil might've caused this issue or if it has to do with my exhaust system. Sounds more like its coming from the exhaust manifold or somewhere in-between. When we were changing my oil my friend did indicate that my car did touch bottom. I'm not sure the best way to approach this. Should i just take it to the dealer and have them look into why it has become much louder?

Camry :: Road Noise Noticeable Starting At 30 Mph And Gets Louder With Speed

2008 SE V6 Convertible : I have noticed that the road noise has gotten significantly worse. I don't think it's the tires as they have been well inflated and still have about 80% tread left. The noise gets very noticeable starting at 30 mph and gets louder with speed, (by the time I reach 70MPH / 2.5K RPM its already VERY LOUD) and you can even feel the "grinding" vibration in the accelerator pedal and steering wheel. It seems to from the front. A kind of cycling hum (not constant; but broken like the tip of a helicopter blades). The noise does not change in turns; and it's not a loud clunking noise.

I have a 2005 hyundai accent, 62000 miles. When I accelerate there is a vibrating/rattling noise that sounds like it's in the back left side. It only happens sometimes. I have a 03 passat with a 1.8t with 126k on it. I just bought the car last week and ever since i got it it has issues i cant figure out

On cold starts its makes a chirping sound under the hood that gets louder as you accelerate but goes away after motor warms up. The sound is similar to a loose or bad fan belt. But the noise is coming from the back passenger side of the engine when you listen under the hood.

Car also has no power. Had a good pull when i test drove the vehicle but now its a dog. It seems like its running on three cylinders or the turbo aint even working

Car is a 5 speed and its a struggle to put the car into first gear but every other gear is smooth. To get it in first you gota be stopped, put it in second then to first and you gota push the shifter left till you feel it pop in gear. Also have to hold it in 1st or it will sometimes pop out...

I have a 2003 GMC Envoy with 76000 miles on it. I heard a louder exhaust noise than normal when I start the truck in cold weather. I had it checked and was told that the exhaust system was OK but that the noise was because the motor mounts needed replacing. I have never heard of this before. Sonata I45 (LF 2015+) :: Buzzing Sound Coming From Engine / Louder When Accelerate?

I cant recall if these sounds were there when i first bought the car, probably because i have the radio on most times. I think the buzzing sounds were present in the last month at least.

After i start up my car and even after idling for a while, i hear a buzzing sound coming from the engine. It gets louder when I accelerate. When I let go of the gas, the buzzing sound lags for a few seconds and then quiets down a little bit, but still can hear it in the background.

I lifted the hood up to listen more closely. I am not totally sure, but i think i can also hear a faint hissing sound ( sounds like leaking air?). I cant pinpoint where it is, but its around the engine.

I also notice that when I am idle, the MPG number in the dashboard is dropping fairly quickly. Like 0.1 mpg every 20 seconds. This is new and started today. I last drove it 4 days ago and didn't notice it happening then and i watch the mpg very closely every time i drive. Could there possibly be some gas leak?

I have a 1983 Toyota Tercel SR5. The car runs really well, however I have encountered a problem. When I accelerate there's this rattle-like sound that gets louder as I go faster. Camry :: 2008 2.4 - Rattling Then Just Dies Now No Start

Wife was heading to work and it just died? she heard a rattling then nothing? it has oil. it has water. 100k miles on it.

I found water pump bearing shot and noticed water seeping from its weep hole. Ok so I need a water pump. But i notice the crank sensor right under the weep hole. could hot water dripping on it fry it?

I put all 4 plugs on exhaust manifold and can watch it spark as fuel is shot out of plug holes. it has spark. it has fuel. it has compression. it will only try to start on initial second of cranking and it is weak at best when it does?

I thought i read somewhere these motors wont give you full compression on cranking? i only get 55 psi on 2 cranks on all 4 cyl? its been starting and running to good to have that low of compression. and mpg's is 30's.

Battery weak so with a hefty battery charger it still cranks good. is a new know good battery a must? What sensors do i need to check or can i even really reliably check them? no check engine lights?

Camry :: 2007 LE - Rattling And On / Off Hissing Noise

I recently obtained a used '07 Camry LE (2.4L with 120k miles) and thought to clean the throttle body when I changed the spark plugs. After putting the intake compartment and connecting everything back together (I'm assuming correctly), the air filter box along with the hoses seem to rattle a bit more. Today, I popped the hood after a short drive and discovered a on/off hissing sound -- it's possibly this sound started the day I worked on my car.
