little bit of rain fell on my car while the top was down, and now the windows dont go up or down except for the driver door window. is there a fuse that controls just those 3 windows, and which one is it?

View 14 RepliesSo my car is just under 2 weeks old. I had the car tinted today and now the drivers side window switch will not operate the passenger side window. The switch on the passenger side works fine and the window operates perfect. The drivers side window operates perfect.
The tint guys are still out there trying to fix this. There isn't some locking mechanism that could be preventing this correct? Or did they somehow short the switch out only on the passenger side switch? So aggravating.
I have 2007 Honda accord. All three passenger side windows will not work. The driver side window do work however. The lock out button is not activated. When I press the switches to the passenger windows, it makes a click sound but windows will not open. This just started happening all at the same time without any warning.
View 2 RepliesAll windows except the drivers window stopped working last night. And the front passenger window is down 2". Wouldn't ya know it before I got home it started raining. Stopped by a store and got a large box of cling-wrap to wrap the top of the door in plus stayed off the interstate to get home without soaking the inside but where do I start looking for the problem? Why the drivers window works fine but not the others. Seems they should all be on the same circuit. Everything else seems to be working fine, door locks, etc.

View 14 RepliesMy GTI has 300 miles on it, just noticed that the auto up/down function on the driver's side window switch only works sometimes. You have to push or pull hard on the switch to get it to auto open or close. I'm assuming it could just be a faulty switch?

The last time I recall trying to use it and getting some response was around a week ago to check and see if my window was frozen shut. When the headlights are on, all of my window controls light up except for the drivers window. When the button is depressed to raise the window I feel a slight vibration through the floor.
I'm a complete novice when it comes to car repair, but is this something I could potentially fix myself? Or how much would I be looking at to get this fixed otherwise?
The window just stopped working. Everything was fine, then all of a sudden it quit! What could it be and how can I fix it? I checked for a fuse, everything appears ok. Its 1997 Cavalier. Its 15°F here and it would be nice to not have to drive with the window down.
View 19 RepliesMy driver side power window on my '05 Honda Pilot is not working. Checked all fuses and none are blown. At first I thought it may be the window regulator/motor. I got an new aftermarket regulator/motor set and connected it to the 6-pin control and power cable to test it prior to installation. It did move when I hit the switch. BUT the power window control unit (magic black box in driver side door) clicked when I try to use the failed driver side window. I understand that this control unit also controls the other windows and they all work just fine AND the control unit does NOT click when I lower/raise those other windows. Do I have a bad power window control unit? Is it suppose to click when I lower the driver side window (and not click with other windows)? Could it be something else? I did check the output voltage to the driver window regulator and it did not have the required 12 V to run the motor when switch is activated.

2. The rear driver's side window doesn't not go up or down at all when using the driver's door switch. The rear door switch operates the window just fine, so it's a switch issue, not a window issue. (Probably obvious from the symptoms but I am not talking about accidentally locking the 3 non driver windows & then being confused)

View 2 RepliesThe drivers side power window in my truck is up and will not lower. I took off the interior/trim panels. Accessed the power connector for the window motor.
I can hear the relay cycling. when I put a meter on the power connector, I get voltage applied for the "up" condition, no voltage for the "down" function.
Sounds like a bad relay to me. What say the wizards? Where is the relay located?
I have a 2006 Ford F-150 with about 43,000 miles .. love it. However, my driver side window stopped working today. For about the past month when you would power up, it would delay and then go up. This happened every so often. Going down was never a problem. Some times window would go up, then drop down an inch or so. Now this morning I went to the store and the window won't go up and it is down all the way. I do not hear grinding, only clicking. All other windows work fine.
View 5 RepliesMy driver side power window on my '05 super crew f150 has stopped working. It rolled down maybe 3-4 inches or so and the stopped working and now will not go up or down. All of the other windows/locks/mirrors on the main switch work so I'm not sure if I should start with replacing the motor or try the switch first.
