My wife's 07 explorer rear wiper wont work cant find wire diagram tested for power no power had hatch open, say hatch close, still no power say relay. Where switches relays fuses are besides the 5 amp fuse below the dash....
View 1 RepliesI have a Sport trac and its killing me. The windows, radio, wipers and 4x4 does not work. I have checked all of the fuses and even replaced the GEM module and they are still not working.
View 3 RepliesI have a 1997 explorer 5.0 AWD. The problem is that when it is about 44 degrees and below, the windshield wipers, power windows, and interior lights don't and won't work. We will run the heater until it warms up the interior, then everything seems to work fine. I usually leave the wipers on so I know when it is warmed up enough. I have checked all of the fuses and all are fine. the only thing that I can think of is there is a crack in the back of the fuseblock that breaks contact when the metal is cold.

But, mechanic can't get rear wiper to work. Can you put 12 vdc to motor to see if wipers work?
I have a 2000 Ford Windstar Van with 155,000 miles on it. A problem has developed with the electrical system/components. The van will start and run fine. With the engine running, there is no instrumentation, power windows do not work, wind shield wipers do not work, radio does not work, heater blower motor does not work. After the engine has been shut off, the radio will work, windows will work, door locks until such time as you open the door, then all quits. With the key in accessory, the windows work, door locks work, radio works, etc. The neutral module was replaced (the old one, none of the contacts appeared to be burnt). Ford dealer spent an hour trouble shooting - checked body modules (2) - found nothing.
View 4 RepliesI have a 2003 F250 Lariat 6.0L Crew Cab. My wipers, radio and power windows don't work. I have painstakingly checked every one of the fuses to see if there was one or more blown. All were OK.
I removed the fuse panel under the dash and have disassembled it to look for obvious clues, burnt wires/heat damage etc. but everything looks fine. Have pushed all of the fuses in to make sure they were seated properly. No joy.
I recently replaced one of the back windows in my truck and had to detach the rear dome light and I remember one of the wires sparking. Where to start diagnosing this problem?
Just picked up the truck 1995 Ranger XLT. 3L...5spd...4x4...no power windows or door locks. The key buzzer only buzzes for a few seconds, if you move the ignition it buzzes for a few seconds each time its moved. The wipers only work when the buzzer is dinging. Also..the wipers when turned off stay in the up position. I replaced the ignition key mechanism and the on off wiper relay. What am i missing in this weird scenario??
View 1 RepliesJust purchased my first Explorer. It's a 2003 Explorer XLS. Only problem with it is that both rear door Windows don't work. The dealership where I purchased the vehicle immediately threw a new drivers side door switch in it to no avail. Now they want to throw two new window regulators in it. Before they do that though I am going to do some checking to see if they are getting power. Both front Windows work just fine.
View 6 RepliesMy wife's 2003 sportrac has developed a problem. The left rear turn signal brake light will not work. The tail light does. When you turn on the left turn signal the front bulb and the dash light flashes real fast. I have changed both, the front and rear bulbs with no luck. I've read on here about the tilt steering column deal. I have moved the steering column while operating the turn signal with no change.
View 4 RepliesI bought a 2004 Explorer a couple of years ago and at the time some ot the windows only work some of the time. Then the drivers side fron and rear passenger window stopped working. Now all but the front passenger side stopped working. I've changed the master switch and no change. I know that it is probably a broken wire between the drivers side door and cab but can't understand how the front passenger side would still work if that was the case. If it wasn't grounded or if a wire was broken wouldn't all of the windows stop working? Also the rear passenger power door lock has all of a sudden stopped.....
View 14 RepliesHow to get into that bundle of wires going between the drivers door and body for a 2002 Sport Trac? I have a break in the wire that feeds 12v to the passenger windows. If I push the bundle backward the windows work. The flexible rubber jacket goes into a plastic housing and I'm not sure if I need to pull off the door panel and un-hook or unscrew it. Is there a connector inside that plastic thing?
View 2 RepliesI have a 1997 Explorer XLT. The high beam have not worked since I got it and now living in Virginia they are needed to pass inspection. When turned on (pushed forward) lights go out, high beam indicator comes on. When flash to pass (pulled back) lows stay on and indicator comes on. It does not have auto lamps.
What I have done:
Replaced MFS
Verified power from GRY/ORG wire on MFS when turning high beams on.
Verified power across fuse #33 when switch turned on.
Had bulbs tested, Good.
No power on high beam wire at the bulb socket.
The only thing I have not checked is what several people have referred to as a "splice" I think someone referred to it as S111? Where this is physically located or am I going to have to start the chore of tracing the wires?
I have a 2001 ford f150 4.2 five speed with a little over 250,000 miles. The wipers will not do anything. I have gotten a new motor and plugged it in before I installed it and checked it and still nothing. I have changed the switch on the column and they still did not work. I have tried checking with a multimeter and a probe light. I do not know what is wrong with them or where else to go. What to do or what to check next?
View 2 RepliesI have a 2005 Sport trac and just recently my windshield wipers, while in intermittent mode, started going at normal speed. It started as here and there, but now it's constant to where I have to pull the 20A fuse to the wiper motor to turn them off. A bit of a hassle. The ford dealer gave me a relay, but couldn't tell me where it goes. I tried another part store and they can't find any info on where this stupid thing goes. I have searched the internet every which way I can think of and can't find any info on it at all!! Where is the relay for the wipers? It is not in the relay box. That I can find anyway.

View 2 RepliesBefore I actually open the steering column and start looking. The problem is when I am going over bumps, once in a while my wipers will turn on on there own. Would this be the relay or the switch it self? Once in a while when I turn on the left turn signal, it freezes and I need to turn it off then back on and I have a small amount of smoke (burnt wire smell) that comes out the hazard button (its the only area it can), so I'm thinking it might be the switch itself. This is on a 2000 explorer xls.

View 2 RepliesWiper problem is that they only work on high. The symptoms are as follow. The relay is working as the controls are ran thru the intermittent steps. I have tried two control switches and they acted the same. So, I believe the problem is in the motor. There doesn't appear to be any wire problems on the plug so it must be inside the motor. Could this be that grease problem inside the motor and it just needs to be cleaned and re-greased?
Radio, Has power to the plug but doesn't work at all. It doesn't appear to have a head unit fuse that I keep reading about. I have not tried to hook it up direct yet but will try that tonight. I am trying to get this truck ready to sell and need to get these items cleared up.
It is a 2001 XLT Extra Cab 4X4 with a 3.0.
1999 f350 gas 4x4 . Truck runs fine. even passed inspection. However just recently my windshield wipers seem to work only sometimes. Right now won't come on at all. I checked the fuse.
