How to replace the turn signal bulb that is in the mirror on a 2001 f150 supercrew? My Haynes and Chiltons books dont say a thing about replacing this bulb.

View 1 RepliesI have a 2001 new passat glx 4 motion, the front blinker bulb on the passenger side went out due to a hit-n-run, I went to a body shop and the ppl there said they need to take the frot bumper and the headlight out to reach the blinker bulb, and it requires about 1 hour on labor which means 90 bucks, that sounds pretty expensive for just a dead bulb.
View 13 RepliesI've done a bunch of searches and can't really find much. The turn signal in my 03 SD doesn't work, and the back side is loose, probably a broken tab. I have cranked the mirror up, down, right and left, popped the tabs loose yet it feels like I'm missing one or a screw. I read that I may have to "Pop" my mirror off to get to stuff. The dealer said I have to buy a complete mirror assembly just to change a freaking bulb on an 03?
View 1 RepliesI have a 2003 F250 Lariat with the OEM power mirrors with the turn signal on them. I let someone drive my truck and they hit something with the mirror and broke the plastic lens. The mirror housing itself is fine. I can't find just that lens anywhere!

View 14 RepliesI have a 1998 Ford F150. The turn signals do not work nor the hazard flashers. When I trun on the hazard flashers(they do not come on) the turn signals will then work. Checked all fuses both under dash and in the engine compartment. With flashers turned on and using the turn signals, the relays located in engine compartment are working. It appears that the only way for the turn signals to work is to recieve power through the hazards.

View 9 RepliesI have a "rapid blink" when I engage the right turn signal. It doesn't do it all the time. When I checked it, the rear was blinking and the front appeared to be out. Changed the right front bulb, but the problem didn't go away. So, I changed the rear bulb. Still didn't cure it. Now I'm confused. I thought for sure "rapid blink" was caused by a bad bulb. What else could it be, Flasher unit? Bad ground?
View 14 RepliesI have a 1997 F150 5.4L 2wd long bed w/ tow package.
Right (passenger) turn signal/brake light is not illuminating. The tail light on the right side does illuminate when headlights are on. (Same Bulb) All other lights are functioning properly.
When the MFS is in the right turn position the right arrow on the dash flashes and clicks faster than normal.
This happened about a month ago and it turned out to be a blown fuse. The fuse was for the trailer lighting and right turn/stop light, found in the small fuse box under the hood that only holds 2 fuses. Problem solved temporarily...
Now the issue is back, Here are some things I've tried so far:
Replaced the fuse again; Turns out the fuse didn't blow this time, but I tried a new one anyway.
Cleaned the ground for the rear light wiring harness.
Replaced the bulb.
Replaced the relay.
Checked continuity on multi-function switch, right turn position reads 2.8 ohms IIRC
Repaired pin #5 on the multi-function switch wiring connector (wire backed out, right turn related)
Replaced the bulb socket.
Inspected the wiring for broken insulation/exposed wires from that socket to under the hood, didn't find anything exposed. All wires are still in the loom.
I replaced this wiring harness and wiring looms about 6 months ago because the previous owner had done a hideous splice job for unknown reasons, so it should be ok. Should I get a new multi-function switch, or try something else? If the switch doesn't work what's the next step?
I have small red lenses to the outside of my mirrors I thought they were turn signal indicators but they do not light up Are they suppose to be indicators ? And if so , How do I get to the bulbs
View 2 Repliesmy turn signals only work with the steering wheel tilted all the way up. It works for me, but my wife drives the truck mostly because we live a mile from her work. The dealer said it was a "peanut connector." And can someone walk me through the steps to fixing it?

View 14 RepliesI have 1999 Ford F-150 xlt and on the passenger side the brake and turn signal don't work but reverse light does. On the driver's side, everything works so I switch bulbs and outlets and it still doesn't work but two of the wires for trailer hook up and cut. I was wondering if that had anything to do with that.

View 8 RepliesI have checked all wires for krosion and fuse's are good so confused! Just put brand new tail lights bulbs in! The top one comes on as a running light but nothing else works. I also checked under hood fuses too!
1.Only Hazard light that works is on the Right Front passenger side.
2 Drivers side Brake Light & Turn Signal Doesn't Work. But passenger works fine! Left turn signal is out and blinks really fast!
3.Passenger Side Overhead Outside Light on cab is out . Okay that's probably just a bulb!
Swapping the 08 mirrors onto older trucks. Which wire I should splice into in the door sill for the right turn signals?
I have an 08, with the tow mirrors/turn signals integrated. On the passenger side, the turn signal does not work. I'm not getting power at the plug.
I traced the wire colors from the headlight and taillight turn lamps and tried splicing into the same colored wires under the passenger door sill. This didn't work (I did get it to work on park lamps though, just not the turn signal). I can't find wiring diagrams.
When I brake, my turn signal bulb lights up. Is that how it's supposed to be? Which bit I need to change in the vag?

View 3 RepliesHearing a whistle noise after installing the Recon smoked turn signal lense? The whistle starts between 40 and 50 mph and is the driver side only. I have triple checked the installation and it has the same clearance all the way around as the left side. I sent Recon an email on Jan 5th about this issue and still haven't heard back from them.
