About 6 weeks ago my 2004 4.6 scab had a glitch in that when you got going the seat belt warning chimes came on, to clear it stop at the next junction turn off re start and away you go. Now today its moved a step further on, the airbag not working light flashes and then stops on, but no seat belt chimes?
View 2 RepliesI noticed the passenger side on/off switch for the airbag doesn't illuminate anymore on my 98 Ranger. Whether I turn the key on the switch to on or off it doesn't illuminate either way. The airbag light on the dash flashes showing, counting a code 27 and then it stays on. I also noticed the seat belts on symbol doesn't illuminate and in the owner's manual it says it should illuminate and chime. I remember it use to illuminate but I don't remember a chime.
Someone with a 98 that has a seat belt reminder light that illuminates and chimes until you fasten the seat belt? I don't know if that and the airbag code is related. But I want to fix both? I guess the simplest one to tackle first would be the seat belt light/chime. I don't see a fuse for it. I guess I need to know first is it really suppose to chime.
I just bought a prius 2007.
I have a unique situation:
•No passenger: light is "Airbag" - No red flashing seat belt sign
•Passenger with seat belt: light is "Airbag" - No red flashing seat belt sign
•Passenger with no seat belt: light is "Airbag" - No red flashing seat belt sign
I have no other warning lights on the dash.
I tried to check to check if there are any loose wires/connectors under the passenger seat but everthing looks ok.
Is there a blown fuse?
For a long time my 2004 regular cab truck has a quirk that both the driver (and passenger if present) must click their seat belts before starting the truck. If not, the seat belt chime and light flash, even though the seat belt light is off when the alarm is not sounding.
Even if the truck is in park, and the passenger gets out of the truck and back again with the engine running, once in drive it will start the seat belt alarm with everybody properly buckled.
A few months ago I was driving to work and the airbag light started to flash.
I took the truck in for the air bag wiring harness recall, and the airbag light did not flash since then, and for a little while the seatbelt problem went away.
1 month later the seat belt quirk was back again.
This past weekend the 5x5 air bag alert started. I checked previous posts, and confirmed that my air bag light does not ever light on my dash. I don't remember if it ever came on once the recall was "fixed".
My gut feel is that the wiring to the light is fine, and that this is a wiring problem in the harness. I saw a post that made a vague reference to the air bag sensor under the center console and the seat belt circuit and could find no more.
Looking for a wiring diagram? If the airbag light is out, does the 5x5 alert supposed to indicate that the bulb is burned out, or that the bulb is out AND there is an airbag fault?
We religiously wear seat belts on the road. BUT, on my 4WD Tacoma, driving around a farm they are not needed. Can you simply unplug the underseat sensor to defeat the annoying chime and yet not disable the airbag system?

Like, specifically the way I want it (chime down, icon stays) with success, and can walk me through it?

My dad has a 2005 Ford F150 and his airbag light buzzes and flashes. We counted and it flashes 5 times then short pause then 1 flash then long pause and restarts. Also I dont know if it is related but his cruise control doesnt work either.

Whenever a passengers seats the seat-belt light does not blink, but airbag warning on my dashboard is still turned on. I went to the dealer and they told me to replace the cushion for the passenger.

View 13 RepliesI have a 2007 Toyota Camry LE, and the seat belt light keeps on flashing and the airbag light is solid. We have tried literally everything possible, tried replacing the seat, replaced the seats sensors, tried a airbag module out of another 07 camry with exact same part #. Toyota have diagnosed that all the systems for airbag is fine, except it has something to do with the seat belt of the drivers side/or module but all that's been checked and still no luck. My car is due for Safety inspecting coming month and need this to fixed. How to handle this. Btw light came on because we had a blown fuse for the drivers power seat, and my mechanic thought that it was the motor so we replaced the seat and noticed that it wasn't the motor. Was just the fuse and we put back the original seat and everything is functional except the lights came on. No accidents on it to the extent i know. and the wiring is all plugged back properly without anything like wiring damage.

I got a low voltage code and a driver seat belt buckle code "00059" maybe I'm trying to recall but unsure. I have a pair of seat belt buckles out of a mk5 Jetta. Do these will plug into my mk4 by chance?
View 2 RepliesI have a 2004 250 SD. Supercab. Took out the bench and replaced with captains or buckets, whatever you want to call them. Perfect fit. The new seats have their own seat belts built in to them. The old ones, were mounted to the floor and roof. Now the air bag light blinks for a fairly long time, then stays on! What? OK, So, what do I NOT know about this project? I did have to make the wires longer in order to reconnect the plugs. Not a problem, I am an electrician. Trouble shooting is ok, when you know where to start.

View 14 RepliesI have an 09 Accord (LX), one day the airbag light (SRS indicator) on the dash would stay on when driving, and the Seatbelt Reminder Indicator would detect the driver's seatbelt isn't engaged, even when it is.
A day later, the seatbelt indicator resumed normal operation, but the SRS light still remained on. I took it to two separate dealers and neither of them could connect to the SRS Control Unit to pull error codes from the onboard computer. They say I need to replace the SRS Control Unit to even begin troubleshooting this problem.
Can I replace my own SRS unit without accidentally triggering my airbags? Where do I order it? How do I make sure it is the correct part? Is it easy? Or I have a separate problem?
How to disable the belt minder chime on a 2015 SD? I tried unplugging the harness under the seat, but it turns on the airbag light. No instructions in the owner's manual like there was for my 2005.
View 8 RepliesInstructions on how to disable your seatbelt chime.
1. Buckle Seatbelt (1.1) go to ACC mode.
2. While depressing the brake, turn the key to the ON position. I Was thinking someone might experiment with in the ACC mode might work by pressing the start button w/o your foot on the brake pedal.
3. Press the trip reset button a few times, stop when the ODO is displayed (not trip distance - A or B). If the odometer starts at the mileage, cycle through anyway.
4. Turn the ignition to LOCK.
5. Unbuckle the driver's seat belt.
6. Turn the key to the ON position again. When the dash lights comes on, press and hold the trip reset button, and count to 20 (slowly).
7. While still holding the trip reset button, buckle the driver's side seatbelt.
8. The odometer display should read "b ON" or "b OFF". Depress the trip reset button to toggle.
9. Unbuckle and Turn OFF the car.
Is it possible to turn off the seat belt chime? If so how?
