Can I change the Fog Light Assemblies on a 2008 Super Duty without removing the bumper? They are made of plastic and one is broke on the top and the other keeps getting water in it.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2008 F250 5.4 4x4 supercab long box (68,000 miles) that has a little bit of movement in the front wheel bearing and hub assemblies. Made it through inspection OK but it will need to be changed soon. Just asking for everyone's thoughts on brands they prefer. I have had great luck with Moog brand products in the past. I put SKF hubs on my wife's 2010 Explorer and they I would say are top quality also. Not interested in a conversion kit or cheap junk. I want a good quality unit. What brand has everyone had good results with? Are Moog or SKF the way to go?
View 8 RepliesI am needing to replace the front hub wheel bearing assemblies on my 03 F250 4x4. I know Ford changed the studs from coarse thread to fine thread in between the 02 and 03 model years. Mine has a build date of 08/02 and I haven't been able to find the exact date they switched over. I'm ordering the parts online and want to get it right the first time.

View 2 RepliesMy truck is a 2008 F250 6.4 Powerstroke 4x4 King Ranch, CrewCab, Shortbed.
I don't know which rear axle ratio it has - maybe someone can help me. the tires mounted are 275/60R17 and in fifth gear (TC locked) the engine has 2000rpm @ 70mph. I think it is a bit to much so I want to install a kit with and lower ratio. I pull trailers just sometimes and here in germany these only have 3,5tons max weight. So I think I don't need this power at 70mph. 1750rpm would be enough. How do I have to modify the front axle ratio if I get a lower-ratio-rear-axle?
I want to lower the fuel consumption. After some modifications, the truck needs round about 12-13L/100km (18-20mpg) and I think it is possible to lower this as bit.
I'm gonna change plugs , hoses, belts and fuel filter on my 08V10. Hoping it works with the mpg.
Anything else I should look for or do? Is there anything I need to know about changing the fuel filter?
Two days ago I noticed that I had one of my cargo lights that didn't light up---I took the light off and the bulb was blown, and other was OK. I picked up a couple of bulbs and I replaced both of them. Now, neither one will burn. I checked the bulbs with an ohm meter--they were good---checked the #10 fuse at the passenger kick panel and all OK, but I don't have voltage at the light sockets now. If the bulbs I used were a greater wattage than the originals, would that have sent an overload signal to the SJB (smart junction box) and stopped the supply of power to the lights? I'm tempted to put it right back where I started, with the one good, used bulb and see what happens then.

View 2 RepliesI have an 08 f350, and my cab over lights are out...I've checked net for issues and they all point in different directions... Running and towing lights are fine, just cab over lights are out...is there a fuse somewhere I cant find? could one burned bulb be out and it effects all?
View 3 RepliesHave an 08 f350 xl and was looking to put oem foglights into the bumper where mine has the block out 's, guess what I am asking is if the wiring is already there as it was on a different vehicle I owned ,basically it was a plug and play ,have only had the truck for a week and with the hours I'm working I really haven't had a chance to crawl under and look for the wiring.
View 3 RepliesI just bout a F350 V10, 2008. All is great except for the clearance lights. I took advice from this site....checked the bulbs....replaced the fuse....still doesn't work. There is no damage on this truck. Is there something special I need to do to turn these lights on?
View 2 RepliesI have a 2008 F350 Super Duty Regular cab long bed 4X4 I have no cargo light and no third Brake light, checked and even replaced bulbs. Still have no lights up top, what to check or how to fix this? Can I tie the cargo light into the dome light inside without screwing something up? I can't understand why they stopped hooking the cargo light to the dome light but this one seems to be wired separate. Would love to get these lights working again. When I bough t the truck the cargo light didn't work and I thought maybe the bulbs were burnt out, I never checked the brake light I tried to get the cargo light working and that's when I found out the brake light didn't work either.

Do the 6.2l plugs have problems breaking like the 3v engines did?
I think I'm going to pull the passenger fender liner to get to the lower plugs in the head.
How does the coil pigtail unclip? I looked at them briefly earlier and it looks like you pull the red tab back, then press down and pull on the pigtail but that did not work and I did not want to break anything.
I have erratic changing of directions of the air control. It'll be on ac it will then change to feet or defrost. then stay on that for a while and flip again. It'll then stay on that one( usually vents). I'm guessing the selector switch or the vacuum egr valve.

View 8 RepliesJust did my first oil change on my 2015 Super Duty 6.2 engine. I got the Fram filter the book called for, a PH-2. There's goobs of room for the longer filter. Would that be the PH8A? The book is about to trying to figure the comparable long vs short filter. Why do they insist on those short filters when a full size will fit? My Dodge Ram Hemi was the same way.

So, my question is, what is the computer using to decide when to tell you that you should change the oil? And, if you changed to a synthetic oil, could you go longer between changes? And, if so, would the truck's sensors be able to tell the difference in the type of oil being used?

whats normal, not used to this much Clunk while changing from P to D ect. More noise than used too I guess.
