A bit annoying. 2008 F-350. When the truck is cold there is a creaking feeling I can feel through my foot. It usually lingers while the truck is warm but eventually goes away. It's in the actual pedal. This may be a stupid question but is there anything that can be lubed under there ?
View 10 RepliesIn forward drive or reverse, I hear a rotational noise that almost sounds like the bed creaking when you're getting it on. As I go faster the noise goes faster until drowned out by road and engine noise. The noise is unaffected by applying the brakes. I jacked the truck up and spun tires as fast as I could by hand and got no noise but when I lowered it back to ground and had the truck roll the noise was back. Noise is not affected by turning wheel.
View 13 RepliesI own a 2012 F350 dually King Ranch with 6,600 miles on it as of today. I noticed that on slight inclines, I can see and feel the hill start assist feature activating and working as before. I was not towing anything today. Starting today though, I hear this loud creaking noise both in forward and reverse directions with quite a bit of shutter from front of the truck lasting one to two seconds as I transition from the brake to accelerator. I checked the front hubs to make sure that they are not in locked position. I tried activating 4WD auto mode, then deactivate it to 2WD mode as I watched the diagram/figure on the dashboard. Nothing would make the loud creaking noise and shutter go away. Is there anything else I can try, or should I take it back to my Ford dealer again (now for another different reason. I had problem with injector #8 failure with CEL come on earlier this week which appears to be fixed for now)???
View 13 Repliesmy dads front drivers brake caliper was dragging so last Thursday he had the local Ford dealer install a new one WHY i don't know since i always work on everything of ours plus my friends Fords. Today he said he pushed the brake and it went to the floor then he let up and pushed it again and they worked?? I haven't looked into it yet but the dealer cant look until Friday morning so my dad asked me to do it today after work..... what should i check for? leaking brake line, maybe air in the system still?
View 4 RepliesRecently my F350 has failed to downshift when the accelerator pedal is pressed to the floor to speed up in traffic. It will usually happen when traveling at speeds in the 30's-40's. It will shift quickly at slower speeds. I have a scan guage on it all the time and it is not throwing any codes.
The transmission has only been serviced by the dealer; last done about 24000 miles ago. No leaks or low fluids/no burned smells. Stock setup with no heavy towing use. Currently at 228000+ miles, this is the first issue with the transmission assuming I am looking at the right area for the cause.
2005 F350 XLT 4WD
I have a 2001 F-350 Diesel 4x4 crew cab 8ft bed dually 7.3 diesel 6 speed. The issue is that the parking brake pedal is extremely hard to push. One day it pushed down and ratcheted into a locked position as normal and the next day I couldn't push it more than an inch down. I have rear disc brakes with internal drums in the rotors for the parking brake assembly. I replaced the shoes and hardware (which were fine) and I still have the same issue. I removed the front single cable from where it splits into the two rear ones and the foot pedal depresses smoothly and with the touch of a finger with no load on it. What else is it? The only other thing is one of the rear cables unless I am missing something?

View 14 RepliesI need fixing my 2003 f350 6.0 diesel, I have been working on this truck for a while and still am having problems, here was the original symptoms:
-Hard start or no start on a sunny day
-Rough idle for 10-15 minutes
-Rough shaking in the low RPMs (35 mph)[/COLOR]
-Slow response from the gas pedal
-boost would only get to 14
My dad and I then did many things to the truck in the shop, those things are:
-Air test and replacement of coupling going into oil branches (next to HPOP)
-Replaced EGR valve (no good)
-Replaced ICP sensor (leaking oil)
-Replaced ICP sensor and IPR valve piggtails (due to frayed wires)
-Cleaned Turbo
-Cut MAP sensor hose and reattached it (spliced on the end)
-New battery
-Performed a bubble test and found two bad injectors on passenger side (injectors #5 and #7)
-Cleaned and lubed tops of injectors
-Replaced O rings and copper crush washers on all injectors
-Replaced nipple cup O rings (tight)
-Blew out injector cups
-Bubble tested after injectors put back in (no more bubbles)
-New FICM, EGR cooler and oil cooler were already installed
-Ohm'd main engine wiring harness (good to go)
-Taped up frayed wires on fan clutch connection
-Increased wire gauge on the positive jumper between both batteries
-Sanded each ground on the batteries and engine, cleaned battery clamps, lithium greased connection points.
-Checked fuel for air (no air)
-Checked fuel psi (85 psi, plenty)
-Oil changed
After doing all of this (diagnosing as we fixed each thing) we now fixed many things including the hard/no start problem. Now, for the first three to five minutes:
-It starts right up
-Runs perfectly, no shake and instant response from the gas pedal and turbo
-Boost goes to 28
-ICP is 800-950 on idle
-IPR is 25-26.9% closed
After five minutes however:
-Starts to shake
-IPR % starts to raise
-Received no response from gas pedal (absolutely no power)
This truck has been torn apart like 8 times and I have to do it on my spare time.
Long story short, I need to replace the box on my 2008 F350. Do the boxes from '14-'15 models line up? I know the fuel door is different, but is the rest the same?
View 4 RepliesI have an 08 f350, and my cab over lights are out...I've checked net for issues and they all point in different directions... Running and towing lights are fine, just cab over lights are out...is there a fuse somewhere I cant find? could one burned bulb be out and it effects all?
View 3 RepliesTest drove an 08 V10 today. Brakes seemed to work fine and didn't lock up but I felt no pulsating in the pedal and heard no chirping of the tires like most ABS systems do. Is this normal? Anything special to look for in used late model V10s?

View 8 RepliesI have an 08 f350 lariat with the 6.8 with 66000 miles. A month ago took it to the dealer with a plugged catilityc converter. All covered under warranty. Got the truck back, starts great when cold including 18 degrees the other morning. I drive 7 miles to work, shut it off and restart, it acts as if the starter is struggling to turn the engine over. Once it cools off, starts fine again. I took it back to dealer, they replaced the starter. No change. Took it back again, they replace battery. Cranks a little faster, but you can tell it's still struggling. It always starts, I'm just wondering how it will be when it's 80 out and in pulling my 9000lb camper....

View 7 RepliesHave an 08 f350 xl and was looking to put oem foglights into the bumper where mine has the block out 's, guess what I am asking is if the wiring is already there as it was on a different vehicle I owned ,basically it was a plug and play ,have only had the truck for a week and with the hours I'm working I really haven't had a chance to crawl under and look for the wiring.
View 3 RepliesTruck is 08 f350 lariat with minor issues. Both seat heaters don't get hot. Click is heard under driver seat. Both dash lights come on. No heat. Steering wheel fan control won't turn fan up. Turns it down fine.
PO put aftermarket HID with ballasts and bulbs and factory light housings. Factory housings scatter light and they are waaayyy bright. Can't drive anywhere with out blinding someone. What aftermarket projectors will work with HID set up I already have?
2008 F350 6.4 diesel. I have the listed truck in the heading, my #9 fuse which is for the interior lighting, lighted running boards and it is a 15a fuse, keeps blowing as soon as I touch the fuse to the fuse box to replace it. I have look at all the map lights and interior lights and can not find any thing out of the ordinary, all of these light were working fine, also my cruise control and the back up sensors stopped working and they are not on the same fuse and the other components that are on the circuit with the crule and back sensors still work, I know that this is a lot of different things but hate chasing electrical ghosts...

Anything I should look out for on the install? Once they are installed I would like to add front and rear strobes along with a roof light for plowing.
View 3 RepliesHave a 2008 F350 Lariat Crew cab and I don't have any power coming to the center console power points. I unplugged the cig lighters and check the harness itself but no juice. Fuse 41 and 43 test good am i missing another fuse not listed?
View 5 RepliesI recently switched back over to the 5.4 from a diesel. It's a 08 F350. I have about 38,000 on it now. I have no complaints so far, a little less power than the diesel, but I don't tow much anyways. The only thing I can't figure out is a strange noise at around 2500-3000 rpms shortly before a shift sometimes. The best way I can think to describe it is that it sounds like a turbo fart in a diesel. Almost like someone is putting their finger over an air hose on and off a couple times. It doesn't do it all the time, and doesn't shake the truck, or effect the shift at all from what I can tell.
I've put it through a lot of different shifts just to see if it might be transmission related. It downshifts and upshifts perfectly without any noise or slipping, and the fluid looks just as clean as brand new. No smell or anything either. It doesn't feel like torque converter shudder to me either as i can't actually feel anything in the truck, just the small noise. To me it almost sounds like it's coming from under the hood. I'm not overly worried about it right now, because it isn't effecting the way the truck drives or shifts at all, I'm just curious what it could be.
