I need to replace a bulb (I hope) in my center clearance light and need to remove the amber lens cover. Lots of info about installing for those without but I haven't been able to find anything about removing the lens cover so that I can replace a bulb. I'm working with a 2008 F-450.
View 6 RepliesI just bout a F350 V10, 2008. All is great except for the clearance lights. I took advice from this site....checked the bulbs....replaced the fuse....still doesn't work. There is no damage on this truck. Is there something special I need to do to turn these lights on?
View 2 RepliesI did some reading on here this morning and ended up at 1A Auto looking for mirrors. I want to make sure I get the correct thing before ordering. I have a '04 250 with factory tow mirrors that are power mirror and turn signal/clearance light. I want to upgrade to the '08 style. Which of these would work? I would think either, but I'm not sure about the wiring harness?

View 14 RepliesI just picked up a 2001 Ford F350 4x4 7.3 SRW last week. I've been slowly going through the truck replacing everything. One thing I've always liked on trucks is the cab clearance lights, which this one doesn't have (it's a base XLT with no options).
So I looked on Amazon and ended up ordering this....
But then I realized that the harness isn't included, and I can't find it for sale anywhere. I searched the Ford parts site but can't seem to find it.
I'm thinking about returning those lights and getting this set: [URL] .... But I'm not 100% sure that the harness that's included will fit my truck, it only says Ford.
Sure would be convenient when hauling the 5er.
View 14 RepliesI've got a 2008 Ford F250 Superduty Crew Cab. My problem is that the center console of the front bench seat is loose. I keep it folded down nearly all the time and any pressure on the front left corner causes the rear right corner to pivot up.

View 4 RepliesJust bought this '08 F250 CCSB 4X4 5.4 Problem is the steering seems heavy, it tends to wander at higher speeds and won't return to center after a turn. I've searched on here and found a few possibilities (axle u joints, ball joints, steering gear, etc). I have an appointment with the dealer on Friday to fix it under warranty but he is convinced it's the u joints in the steering shaft seizing. When my F150 steering shaft began to seize, it would be hard to turn then break free then be hard then break free and this is not what is happening on the SD. I haven't had a chance to check the front end myself but not sure how you would check the axle u joints if there was no play in them. How would you check to see if they were seizing up.

View 11 RepliesWhen opening the center console at night, it is obviously pitch dark in there. I know that I could turn on the dome light, but 1. i'm lazy and 2. that still does not offer a whole lot of light.
I want something that will come on when I open the lid, and then go off when I close it. I do not really want anything on a switch. So i'm thinking about setting something up like the glove box with the thing that pushes in and the light goes out, you all know what i'm talking about. I would not think it would be too hard to wire up.
I'm replacing tow mirrors on my 2004 F250 with 2008 mirrors. Both are factory Ford mirrors. Need wiring diagram since connectors and wires are different. They both have power mirrors, turn signals, heated mirrors, but are not power retract or fold.

You know, you get in the truck and lean on the center "arm rest" to get better situated. After a while the constant abuse brakes something and now the armrest is now floppy

I am wanting to take off the center console lid to recover it. The only way I see to remove just the lid from the truck is to hit the rod out that is in the hinge. I was hitting pretty hard with a punch and it wasn't moving. I don't really want to break it so I'm asking if there is a different way or if I just need to use more force?!
