I cannot get the back cup holder section out. It seems like it's held on there good. I removed the little coin tray and don't see anything and took out the sliding cup holder as well. What am I doing wrong?

I would like to buy a V to deliver mail. I would need to remove the center console so I can sit in the middle. I did this in my 05. Can it be done fairly easily and will the mode switch come out of the console for mounting elsewhere, like under the dash or seat?

I can't see any catch or release to trigger releasing the drawer. I also think accessing it by opening up the whole console from the top is risky as the EV, ECO, and PWR mode buttons are wired into it.
How do you remove the armrest storage part of the center console? Ive undone the two screws by the shifter and the whole thing shakes but it doesn't come out...

Completely stock, no swap. No motor noise when I click the buttons on forward, back, up or down. Nothing. Everything looks connected under the seat but not entirely sure. Fuse 1 and 44 are good on the side of the dash. This is for a 2003 Wagon with GLX interior and most upgrades from the factory. I need to move the seat in order to remove the center console/radio cage as it's blocking the armrest nut.

The button does not slide through the bottom, like the snow and traction buttons, it is too wide. So it has to come off at the top, but how?

My problem is, is that I can't figure out how to remove the center console!!! The instructions in the Haynes repair manual for removal of the center console are for 2008 and earlier Matrix models.
