I just picked up my 12 Prius (three with solar sunroof) from the dealer on Monday. I upgrade from an '09 III. I imported my contacts from my Iphone and synced it to bluetooth and all my contacts are showing up double. Every time I go to call someone, it asks me to pick line 1 or 2, which are the same number.

View 7 RepliesI have the 2012 Prius 4 and love my new system, however am having some issues with the phone book. I have an iPhone 4 and over 600 contacts. For whatever reason my system only loaded contacts through the letter "I", nothing from "J-Z". Also the voice activated dialing doesn't recognize most of the names.
View 4 Replies2013 Prius. Audio worked fine yesterday but on my way to work this morning the car would not play audio from my iPhone 6s. The Bluetooth is connected fine and calling still works but when I play music the screen shows that the music is playing but I get no sound from my speakers. I've tried resetting my phone and turned the car off and on to no avail.

I iPhone linked to it.when you get in the car iPhone connects right away, no problems here, the problem is this:
If you have media center on phone mode, the contacts not always there, sometimes you see it, sometimes button is not highlighted and also when this happens dial pad goes away with contacts too. only thing I can push is speed dial. Phone works for speed dial, but that's it.
This can happen few times during my driving, sometimes more sometimes less, but for some ironic reason always not there when I need to use it.I try to enable or disable auto contacts update, that didn't work. And I have my iPhone updated, so I have new one now, and same problem, so its not the phone for sure.
I have issues with contacts and speed dials being erased. About once a month, all contacts and speed dials are erased and only call history remains. I have an iPhone for reference.
View 1 RepliesNeed to get a Samsung Galaxy Light to sync? I've got the Display Audio with Entune (3.1). Android version is 4.2.2. Just got the phone and synced it to Bluetooth. All the music and Pandora seems to basically work, and I can make phone calls... but the phone book doesn't sync. Except for, strangely, one contact. I've tried "refresh phone book" a few times - it shows success, but then there's just that one contact (always the same one.) Can't spot any reason that contact would be different than others.
I've found a few threads about the S4 and S3 and phonebook trouble... seemed to suggest some people have problems and some don't, but couldn't spot a solution. Never had a Samsung before so not sure if there's any significant differences in the phonebook setup between the Light and other recent Galaxies. My HTC Sensation did OK with syncing the phonebook (though the BT on that one kept freezing when using Pandora.)
I just got the Droid X and it paired easily with my 2010 prius and I can play my music folders over the blue tooth connection in the audio/nav. system. But, it will not transfer my phone contacts.
It will go through the motions like its going to happen and then I see the words attempt failed.
I've seen lots of threads to allow use of the navigation inputs while moving, however I have a 2012 Prius-2 and therefore no navigation. I just want to be able to access my phone contacts and/or use the dialpad while I'm driving.

So I recently purchased a base 2008 Prius. The previous owner said she replaced the stereo so she can use her ipod. I see there is a Aux jack underneath the Radio with a power button. But when I press mode on steering wheel or press CD/Aux on the unit, it only goes to the CD, not Aux. I think its Toyota 51824 system. How can I use Aux since I want to use my iphone for music.

View 2 RepliesI bought a fully loaded 2004 Prius last summer with Navigation and bells and whistles. (I love it - even with 110,000 miles!) At the time I had a 3G Iphone (AT&T) and the bluetooth worked for phoning and the cord that came out of the compartment under the stereo worked for me to plug in my phone and play music. Of course there was no music display and I had to get the music going first and I couldn't view it at all while it was plugged in. (Meaning if I wanted to see the song or change to a new playlist I had to unplug it.) But nonetheless I was STOKED to have my iphone music playing. It also charged my phone.
A few months I upgraded to an Iphone 4S, and now when I plug my phone in I can't play ANY music!! (Bluetooth for phone works fine.)
Questions:
1. So I always assumed the cord came with the Prius although I guess the first owner could have put it in? Do that model came with one?
2. Most importantly: How can I play music from my 4S phone the simplest easiest way.....
I get my iPhone 5 paired with my car for calls and music but not for messages. Is there a trick to doing that?
View 1 RepliesI'm trying to figure out if I'm dealing with an isolated situation...my iPhone 4's BT music streaming tends to have a slow-down effect whenever I start using the phone. It doesn't have to be a million apps running in the background for it to slow down (as if someone just turned off the turntable while the LP was playing), it could be caused by a simple accessing of the phone main screen... My prior car (Acura TL-Type S '07) worked flawlessly with my iPhone 3GS, so not sure if it's the iPhone 4 or my Prius V...

The behavior is not quite what I've seen described on other threads, so I don't know what try here. Note that my old junkie dumbphone worked reliably with the Prius over Bluetooth.
