Golf/GTI VI :: Key Not In Range Displaying On Screen

Yesterday morning my wife's JSW TDI wouldn't stay on after starting it. The screen kept displaying, "Key not in range". I swapped keys and every one of them did the same thing. It doesn't have keyless start, so it's not that. It would start then shut off like an immobilizer issue. I disconnected the battery terminal and reconnected it and that fixed it...for now. I did some research and everything I've found said the cluster needs replaced. I made a video of the display and the car shutting down.

I have a 2006 Toyota Prius
Nothing is displaying on the nav screen. I removed the MFD screen and inspected it can't find anything wrong with it the soldering looks fine. Is there anyway I can test the unit before buying one.

I ordered my IS 300h F-Sport (winter!). After five months of waiting, the car is now at the dealer. I went today to take a look and one thing is making me a little bit nervous...
The info screen said "Pop up hood error", I asked the salesman about it and said that the car needs preparation and be reset....
I want to believe it but my mind is taking my opinion that something triggered the pop up hood pedestrian protection... maybe a little hit? I don't know.... and maybe the salesman is being honest and it is normal.
The bumper is all ok, no signs of damage, (the car arrived yesterday and my girlfriend went to take a look).

I have my home screen set to show audio on the left side, weather upper right and climate lower right. Even though the audio section is the whole left side of the screen, it does not display the artist or song information for radio stations. If I click on audio, though, then in the full audio screen (with presets, etc.), it does show the artist and song information. How to get the info to display on the home screen?

If you have Navigation there is a selection inside "weather" to view a weather map. No matter how many times I try all I get is a screen telling me it is "down loading data", but I never see the map. How to view the map?

The OEM DVD player in my '04 started having problems with occasionally displaying a disc format error across the screen. The movie usually still plays, but the lettering is stays on the screen. If you go back through the menus it will sometimes go away or you just have to eject and reload the DVD. Now it does it pretty much everytime we turn the player on.

So maybe it is just my incompetence on this.... however, I was putting my second tank of gas in the 2016 and the Fuel Filler door will not shut...
Not only that but since the door will not shut, on my dash screen it keeps saying "Refill Ready" every 5-10 seconds.

Does the cruising range in the drive information screen NOT reset unless you fill the gas tank ALL the way up?
I just threw in a few bucks (well it's a Prius after all) and it still showed 0 as the range.

Yesterday my MFI started displaying three dashes, with "mph" above them, and a speedometer icon next to it instead of the mileage icon when the car is moving. When stopped, the icon goes back to mileage.

I have a 2015 SportWagen S (Same radio as the Golf. This forum gets more traffic) and I had a few questions about the radio that I keep finding differing answers on. I have an iPhone 6 running iOS 9. I'm disappointed that the contact pictures don't work, but it seems that's an iPhone thing. I'm a little more disappointed that the album art doesn't work with my iPod connected with the MDI cable. I found some stuff about the file extension or size being the issue, but no definitive answers. Am I doing something wrong? I can't understand how VW could design a radio that doesn't work with what is overwhelmingly the most popular media player in the world. otherwise the radio is pretty impressive. Leaps and bounds above the one in my old '14 GLI. I only wish I could have gotten the '16 with CarPlay, but the '15 was a much better deal.

I picked up my GTI a few weeks ago and have been travelling a lot. I noticed that the HVAC units are displaying in C instead of F. I checked all other settings and they are correct. I even called VW Car-Net and they suggested a reset procedure which did not work.

Ever since I've been using my SD card to play music, I have been getting an intermittent error that reads something like "Error reading SD Card" (I can't recall the exact wording). It seems to happen randomly, and sometimes I have to take out / reinsert the SD card a bunch of times before it reads it again...starts playing music for awhile...then gives me the error again.
It was mildly irritating at first, but now it seems to be happening more frequently and is downright maddening. Here are the details:
I have a 2011 GTI with the Premium stereo HU (what is that...the RDS-510?)
I am using a 16gb SDHC class 2 card
The error happens mid-song...not at the beginning or end of a song (so I don't think it's a particular file/s that is screwing things up)

I turned on my car and for some reason the radio unit isn't displaying anything. I can see the backlight come on, but there's no text. I can still switch between BT, CD, XM, radio, etc. but nothing is displayed. This is not a nav or touchscreen unit, just the one that comes on the base model.

For the last 3 months I've been bringing in my vehicle in and out of the VW dealership trying to find out why once in a while when I turn off my my vehicle the accessory part turns back on by its self and error message displaying "Error: Brakes service now!" In the middle of the cluster & then the car turns off completely. The first time I brought it to the VW dealership they called corporate and they said to change the cluster so they did. Two days after I pick up my car the error message came back on. Took it for the 2nd time and they said that it was the gateway .
And one day later after picking up my car the error message came back on again. I'm getting tired bringing in my Golf R and not fixing this issue. What it could be? Just an FYI, It is a push start. Here's a quick video link so you can see what I'm talking about [URL] ....

Is there a way to do it? I've noticed if i'm coming directly at the side of the car, the range is alright, but if I'm coming towards it from the front/back, I have to be within 10 feet for it to work.
It's getting on my nerves and I'd like to be able to walk away from the car and lock it from a greater distance.
My MKV would do it from across the parking lot, the MKVI will barely do it if I'm standing right next to it. Whats the deal and how can I fix this?

My car has the KESSY system, and over the past month I've been having the following issues:
1) Sometimes, when I try to unlock the car by touching the sensor area on the door handle, the car will not unlock. No matter how i make "finger contact" or how long I hold contact, there is no response. This happens frequently recently. (I still can unlock the door using the unlock button on the remote though.)
2) sometimes, when I get into the car, with the key remote in my pocket, the center display will read "Key not in range" when I attempt to push the engine start button.
Number two has only happened to me twice.
The first occasion, I just pressed the button again and the car started no problem. The second occasion that this happened, I pushed the button again, and the engine attempted to turn over, without firing, and displaying the check engine light. The car started on the third try and was fine since.
Considerations: It's been cold lately where I am (Average ambient temperatures 35F and below). I have not tried to replicate these symptoms with the other remote. (Considering that perhaps the remote's battery is low.)

So I recently bought a 2004 R32 after owning like 5 other vw's (always wishing they were R's). Anyway, I am experiencing some humming noise... not quite a vibration, but the "humming" is strong enough that you can sort of feel it through the car. The "humming" happens at a range from about 30-60 mph and is only present when I'm turning left, or when there is more force on the passenger side of the car. When I'm going straight, it is very slight, but if I turn even slightly to my left it gets louder/stronger. When turning right and force is off the passenger side and on the driver side, the symptom is not present. It seems like it's coming from my front end as well, not rear.

1543 miles on my 2010 Golf TDI. got out of the car and tried to lock it, and the lock didn't. When I got back in to start it, it kicked over then the display read "Key not in range" and the engine sputtered dead.? Had to walk home a few miles to get the spare key...my mistake for not carrying both sets...my previous car was an Acura, so I didn't really need to plan for electrical failure.
Anyhow, once I got my spare key and walked a few miles back, it worked just fine. Kicked right over, happy to see me. Good thing; I hate having a car with paper tags (still too new to have the actual plates) towed to the dealer.

So my 2001 1.8t Golf is having some issues holding boost. I have a Gonzo stage 2 tune, CTS FMIC, Forge 008 Diverter, Silicone inlet and MagnaFlow Exhaust. I've also done the whole Evap, SAI delete and installed a catch can.
Starting in 2nd or 3rd at WOT the car spikes up to 18psi and then progressively loses boost throughout the rev range. Close to redline the boost drops to 5 psi or so. It seems to be dependent on the revs. In fifth gear the car holds 18 psi much longer as the revs don't increase as fast.
There are no CELs. I've done multiple leak tests starting at the air box and plugging the pcv/catch can system as well as at the compressor side of the turbo. None of the tests revealed a leak anywhere in the intake system. However, when I stuck my ear very close to the valve cover I could hear what sounded like a very small air leak coming from inside the valve cover. I took a look at the wastegate actuator and it seemed fine, no play in the rod, no loose bolts and to move it just requires enough force to compress the spring and it returned to its original position.
My thoughts are that it could be a fueling issue or turbo in the process of dying maybe.

I have just this past week noticed that my rev needle is not smooth when coming down the range! It shudders and is annoying in that way that now i have seen it I cannot un see it!!
It is very smooth on the way up under acceleration.
