As the title states, I've noticed that the music on my iPhone starts playing automatically when I plug it in to my MDI cable. Is there any way to stop this? I've looked through the settings in the head unit and in my phone and cannot find anything to shut it off.
View 3 RepliesI have an iPhone 5S and whenever I plug it in to my car it automatically switches to the iPod input and starts playing tracks in alphabetical order, though sometimes it remembers to continue playing whatever I had playing on my phone before. This is rather annoying because I'd rather the car stay in whatever input mode I had it, and if I do switch to iPod or Bluetooth, I want it to *always* remember to play what I was playing before, even if it's Pandora and not "iPod" music. Is there a way to configure the JBL system to do this? Or at the very least stay in its current input mode until I manually switch it?
View 3 RepliesIf I have my phone (iphone 5) paired up through bluetooth in my prius c and I am NOT playing any sort of music. Then I get or send out a call to someone, as soon as I hang up the bluetooth will start playing music through my phone. I looks like it is just opening my iphone's "music" app and playing the first song I have in there alphabetically. I looked around for any place to adjust settings but I can't seem to turn this auto play off.
View 3 RepliesI have 2015 Camry LE trim. Whenever I start my car and connect Bluetooth, music starts playing automatically. Bad thing is it keeps on playing when I am navigating using Google or Apple map. It will reduce volume momentarily while a navigation instruction is being played and start off again. I can't turn it off completely while navigating. If I hit pause it will stop until the next navigation instruction is played. After an instruction is played music starts again. I just can't turn the damn music off! It's not just the Apple Music app, I have another streaming music app. If I'm listening to that app before entering the car, it somehow starts playing music from that app.

View 5 RepliesMy car has been having an issue with battery draw. when I don't drive it for 2-3 days the battery is drained enough for me to need my jump pack to start it. I have done a wire tuck on the motor and also have air ride. I hooked a wire up between the battery and the negative cable with a light connected and it lights up with the car off. What I have done so far is to pull each fuse in the door fuse panel individually and the light stayed on the entire time. Next I pulled the power feed to my air ride system out and the light flashes and I can hear what sounds like a relay clicking. If the issue were the air ride I would think disconnecting it would make the light go out.
I need to pull the fuse panel that was on top of the battery and pull those fuses out too. Should I try pulling the relays as well?
So I am not using NAVIgation and I still see the maps with my car location on the screen. The one option I see is where I can also show the audio info. So if a song plays it shows the station and song details on the right side half..The left side half is still the maps. I don't want to see maps when I am NOT navigating to a certain destination I programmed. I know it should be simple but cannot find the settings.
View 16 RepliesOk so I have the RNS-315 in my 2012 GTI (sunroof, navi package). I also have the iPhone 5 (not the 5s, just the 5). So about 9 times out of 10 when I plug the phone into the car (via a 40pin to lightning plug adaptor from apple) the stereo switches over to MDI input and starts playing, which is fine excepts it starts with the first song titled alphabetically on the phone, which just happens to be "The Adventures of Raindance Maggie" but the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Even if I queue up a song and pause it in advance. Well now that this behavior has been going on for a number of months (possibly over a year), I am starting to really HATE that song. If it were as simple as deleting it, I would. However I'm quite sure it will just have the same behavior with the next song in line.

I just got a new phone, this time an android note 4, I noticed when i plug in my phone to the usb port, it won't play music, it just says error. It does however charge the phone. Is there any way around this? I know I can use bluetooth, but I've always preferred the usb port.
View 3 RepliesA few quick questions regarding using a USB stick on a Prius C. As my latest iPod has died, I decided to focus on using a USB stick.
a) Why do some album covers show up and some don't. I play the MP3 on my iTunes, Windows Media Player or VLC Player and I see the album cover, but some won't show on the stock radio (2015 Prius C).
b) What audio file formats have you been able to play via USB?
c) Any ways to have non-English text display for playback? I listen to a lot of Japanese, Korean and Chinese pop music, so it kind of sucks of having to rename nearly every artist/band name, track title and album title as it becomes quite tedious for each track.
D) Currently, I am using a 4GB stick and it takes a little while each time the playlist has to refresh, each time I start my car. But I would like to move up to a 32GB or 64GB USB stick. But I was wondering how long the wait time is for the playlist refresh? If it's too much, then I'll probably use a 8GB or 16GB. And any speed differences on a Prius USB if it was USB 2.0 or 3.0?
I have a '10 with NAV. iphone 5S. Bluetooth enabled on phone and syncs to car. Phone calls work great.
On the Radio function, there is a BT (among others) tab, however mine is greyed out. AUX tab lights up with the cable plugged into the port in the black hole and my phones headphone port. Whether this cable is plugged in or not, the BT tab is never accessible. My wife has a '13 Venza with NAV same iPhone and she can play music through her phone wireless, selecting the BT tab.
I have a Canadian TAL w/o premium package, therefore no upgraded JBL speakers. Recently, I noticed that when I play music with some low bass notes, the front door speakers seems to distort and rattle when I play at normal volume (around 15-18). My EQ settings are set to 0. I don't recall this problem occurring when I first got the car in January 2013.

View 5 RepliesI just got my first Lexus (2013 GS350) ... I noticed an issue with connecting iPhone for bluetooth audio streaming / if there are any fixes for this. I have an iPhone 5 with iOS 8.3 that connects when the car turns on. However, sometimes when I switch modes to BT audio from say, FM radio, it'll say "Portable audio player connected" and my phone lock screen as well as the navi screen will show that the music is playing, but no audio is coming out of the car speakers. If I turn off the audio system and turn it back on, the music will play. I can also pause the audio on the navi screen then hit play and it will play. Pause then play on the phone does nothing.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2012 Camry LE and I always use bluetooth connectivity between my iPhone 6S and the car. I use an online radio app called "Tambura" (similar to pandora but something which caters to Indian Hindi songs). Now I also use my phone as a GPS navigation device on need basis. The problem I am facing is that, whenever I am listening to music using the radio app in my camry's speakers with volume on around 15-20, whenever the Google maps voice says something like "take next exit" or whatever, it is almost inaudible. I expect the sound to be on same level as my music but that does not happen.

I can't find the dual anchors for the infant seat base; I know I feel dumb and I'm sure the dealer can show me how to access Blue Tooth connection; Phone screen flickers on and off see attached images. I lose the ability to dial number or access contacts
Phone is connected the whole time. I've deleted and added the phone several times. I am using Samsung Infuse ATT

I recently purchased a 2015 Camry XSE on November 23rd. I have the Entune Audio Plus system in my vehicle. The first thing I noticed while driving home is the music I was playing through Bluetooth was changing pitch constantly. The closest thing I can relate it to is a cassette tape being slowed down with dead batteries. It's brutal. My mom bought a 2015 Rav4 on the same day as me. For the past month I've been doing nothing but trial and error. Here is what I have come up with.
My radio while playing bluetooth skips, speeds up and down (pitch change) and gets really bad static. Also, when I use the steering wheel controls to change the song it changes the song INSTANTLY. In my mom's Rav4 and my friends 2015 Corrolla, it plays for about 1.5 seconds before changing to the next song. This is the buffer being played out. Mine doesn't create a buffer and is playing the data stream in real time. If any interference happens or the clock rates change it gets reflected in the pitch.
Now, I called Toyota and explained it to them. They had me read what audio version I had in my car. It says "0744". It listed two items, Audio and Operating System. The rep on the phone was taken back and said NOTHING was installed on that radio. What is supposed to be listed is bluetooth drivers, kernel and a couple other things. My audio version should say DU.60.74. She told me to take it to my dealer and they will update it through USB and it only takes a couple minutes.
Is it possible to stream my music via my android phone via cable to the USB port on the Prius?
