Yesterday i removed my bumper and unhooked my battery and reinstalled it a few hours later. Now have a "Stop Engine Press Top" error on the screen and the oil light is flashing. I also noticed that the oil temp gauge is not moving.

I found out it is either the thermostat or the coolant temperature sensor. I wanna know where it is located in the engine bay. I have a 02 VW Jetta 1.8T.
View 1 RepliesI'm having some problems with my 05 1.8T GTI. I've had a check engine light for about 3 months and finally got a diagnostic tool (VAG V-checker). Right now I have one code 17748.P1340 Camshaft position sensor-G40/engine speed sensor -G28: incorrect allocation.
I researched a little bit and talked with some of the guys at the local VW dealership. From what I learned this could be related to (obviously) faulty camshaft position sensor and/or faulty engine speed sensor. So I've replaced both of these sensors and even cleaned the Mass Airflow sensor.
I cleared the code and after driving about 5 minutes the code came back. Also I recently had a P0300 and P0304 cylinder 4 misfire default code. So I've changed all of the ignition coils too since I heard they were recalled a while back.
So I was driving my cousin's Passat 1.8t gls with tip the other weekend when we went to the cottage and I got a strange message in the dash that first said STOP in big letters then Oil Press Stop Engine then Service Manual. So I immediately stopped the car. Checked the oil, it was completely full, looked around didn't see any oil on the bay so I called my cousin and he said its been doing that for a while and sometimes it says Brake Failure and I could keep driving no problem. On the drive home (3 hours) this was happening nonstop.

View 2 RepliesI have a 01 vw bora 1.8t and recently I let it sit for one day and now it has trouble starting when it's cold and when it does start it has a very rough idle and often stalls out of you try and press the gas. Once it has warmed up she runs fine. My check engine light is on but I have no way to take her down to a shop to get the codes read. What is wrong with my car? One of my friends told me it could be a cool pack or a sensor.
View 1 RepliesMy 2003 Jetta GLS 1.8T just started doing this... I am not hearing the normal Turbo whistling noise when I give it a lot of gas, however I now hear a squealing noise. Sounds similar to a loose belt kinda whining/squealing. I do not hear this at any other time, only when accelerating quickly.

View 1 RepliesI have a 2001 Ford Excursion Limited 7.3l with 199,980 miles on it.
It has a TS-6. My first problem is that when I come to a stop or slow down to a crawl then press the accelerator the engine stalls and dies. I have looked and looked at threads and can not find this example anywhere. There is no pressing the pedal and it remains at idle. It dies, shuts off, quiets. I have thought icp, tps, ivs
Second problem is that a/c is blowing hot. Other than being out of Freon, what could be other things to check. It does sometime go to default, but has done so in awhile. It does not blow cold in rear and hot in front. They both blow hot. I have replaced the pvh sensor.
I have a problem with my golf 4 window. RR after washing it the window wouldn't go up again it just made a grinding noise inside but no movement when you press the switch, I watched a few videos on how to open the panel and I did and found this wire lying around like this I don't know what to do from here as the car must go for a test for registration and they check the windows. do i need to buy the entire back panel?

The reason I ask is because (now that I am not upgrading to an RCF) we are going to attempt an LFA style exhaust on my current RC F-Sport. View 8 RepliesI know this may be kinda tacky to some but i keep seeing these audi's driving around and the headlights with the LED DRL's always catch my eye. I ordered a set of led DRL and i want to install them either inside the headlight housing or around the rim of the housing if i cant get the font plastic off. How to remove the bumper cover so i can access the bolts that holds the headlights in.
Headlight assembly without damaging the plastic lens . I've seen some other guys toss a toyota matrix assembly in the oven at 350 for 3 minutes to soften the adhesive and then pry apart the front lens off the housing. Would this work with the ls460 or would it damage some of the internals. I have hid and the movable projectors (afs i think its called)....
Woke up this morning Drop 200 yards before I got a dash notification saying "STOP CHECK COOLANT" Turned off car, turned back on. and noticed never appeared. Showed up to work (temp never went up past half) and check the fluid and its not low. What can cause this.
