I just got my R32 less than a week ago, and recently I noticed this buzzing sound coming from the rear of the car. I did some searching around on here and found 1 post that refers to this sound, and says it could possibly one of the fuel pumps. Should I bring it in for service..or is this normal?
Also...what is the best intake for a 08 R32, whats some of the best websites to order parts from?
When the ignition is on (no motor running) there is a buzzing sound from the front of the engine. I have used the screwdriver in the ear to try to track the noise. It sounds like the alternator exhaust manifold area.
View 2 RepliesAlright, so it could be something very common and in proper operation, but I can't guess what it might be. Whenever I turn my car off, I notice a mechanized buzzing sound coming from the passenger side rear wheel well. Probably no coincidence that the fuel nozzle/inlet sits just above the wheel well. Sound is not very loud, but quite noticeable when standing next to the car in my closed garage. Seems to last for 5 to 10 minutes, then shuts off. BTW, it's a 2012 3.6L SE with Nav.

I have some sort of electrical/wiring issue with my 2005 GTI Auto transmission. Ever since I've owned the car every now and then, it won't start at all; the clock will reset and so will the trip meter. When this happens, it makes a weird buzzing sound while I'm turning the key, and after I let off, the turn signal will click until I pull the key out. I usually have success starting it after playing with the buttons on the turn signal. All fuses are good, and the battery is always charged, because the stereo and lights will work fine. I'm assuming it's either a short or a problem with the turn signal relay...

I just came back from a long weekend and left my 2010 GTI in the garage at home. When I returned the battery was 100% dead. Got a friend to jump it and it refused to start for about 30 minutes. Finally it grudgingly turned over and eventually started. So I drove it around for an hour, came home, turned it off and tried to start it - to see if it had charged at all. Again it turned over very slowly, and eventually started up. Seems very strange that it's so slow to charge.
So now I have it on a trickle charger and with the engine off I noticed a weird humming/buzzing sound. It seems to be coming from underneath, somewhere in front/near the right rear wheel. I waited 30 minutes to see if it would turn off once the car cooled. But it's still running. I've never heard that before and no wonder the battery died. What's going on? This is a mystery.
Manual... I hear this buzzing sound, mostly during deceleration, on 2nd, 3rd or 4th gears between 2300-3000rpms, very annoying on 2nd and 3rd gears, but can still somewhat noticeable on 4th gear. Can also hear it on acceleration, sometimes on 2nd and 3rd gear, silent on 4th gear.
I've turned off soundaktor thru VCDS, but still hearing this sound so I was thinking that the hockey puck is still spinning, albeit not as annoying as when it's 100%. So I tried to disconnect it, still hearing that buzzing sound. I even removed all stuff from my car and it's still buzzing. Really annoying, specially if you just want to hear the sound of the engine braking on deceleration.

Every time I press the brake pedal a buzzing sound can be heard. Every single time. Without fail. Moving or parked.
I just had the tranny rebuilt and it's possible something was broken or unplugged. I've done a search on google and can't find anything specific. I'm thinking something to do with ABS. Problem started a week ago when it came back from the rebuild.
I'll try to get a video and post. Was funny at first. Now it's annoying.
This might just be car engine in general regardless of make or model, but upon a cold start, my GTI engine whines or buzzes for approximately 1 second before it stops. I had a 2009 Toyota Corolla that also did this, but I had it fixed with a TSB due to the oil not reaching the VVT-I gears or something in time. It's not the same noise in my GTI, but I was wondering about same sound almost every time upon a cold start?

View 2 RepliesYesterday I noticed the rear driver's side speaker buzzing in my GTI S. Is it possible that I already have a blown speaker (I don't usually crank the system)? Maybe it has something to do with the -5 temps? Anyway, should I take it to the dealer or see about getting some aftermarket speakers since the S sound system is pretty mediocre?

Also have had 7 window regulators to go bad on have 1 working window 4 bad now replaced the same one 3 times. Called Ford they said no complaints have come in about the window issue on 2004 trucks...
View 1 RepliesI was just driving home and noticed and sort of slapping sound from my rear left tire - I pulled over at a gas station to take a look at it and found no issues with the tire itself (bubbles/flat spots) or any irregular wear, my next best guess is that the wheel bearing has gone bad, is there a way i can test this for the rear wheels without putting it on a lift?
View 13 RepliesI've recently noticed a howling sound coming from the rear end of my f150 from speeds of 45-60mph it goes away as soon as i get to 60mph and starts again very slightly at 80mph. I am sure its the pinion and ring from everything I have read online. a friend told me that it could be the pinion gear is worn out or it needs re shimmed or something. what parts should I look for to get this fixed? could it be a fluid issue? I dont want to have to spend much more on this truck....I love it but it seems like i find a new "noise" every week. Ive always been a chevy guy and to my surprise I REALLY like driving this truck and i want it to work out. What should i expect to pay for a repair like this? BTW it is and 04 FX4 with 84k on it.
View 14 RepliesJust purchased a used 2008 HH - about 85000 miles. Seems to work perfectly except there is a very loud hum that sounds that it is coming from the rear. Starts to be noticeable at 30 MPH and gets louder up to about 55, and then isn't as noticeable, perhaps due to normal road noise.

View 13 RepliesI Bought a 09 with 45k miles. I haven't had no issues till my return Trip from the snow, this car is perfect for all the traffic i deal with out here. I normally have my music up loud so i may have never notice it but when I was driving with baby sleeping I started hearing a buzzing sound happen when I braked. This sound was low at the start but now is very noticeable.
