My Drivers side headlight points slightly higher than my passenger side headlight. Is this normal or do I need to adjust, and if so how do I adjust?
View 6 RepliesMy 2006 Prius (Model NHW20) has a strange headlight problem. On the passenger side, the high beam light is out but the regular headlight works.
On the driver side, the high beam is working but the regular headlight is out.
I don't think it's the fuses but I'm not sure. No amount of interchanging the following fuses changes anything about the issue:
1. 10A H-LP HI RH
2. 10A H-LP HI LH
3. 15A H-LP LO RH
4. 15A H-LP LO LH
I dropped off my 2012 Passat to the dealer this morning because the driver's DRL was out and the passenger headlight was out. Normally I'd change bulbs myself and be on my way but since this is new and under warranty, I let them do the work.
Anyway, fixed the DRL (bad bulb). But the passenger headlight assembly needs replacing. Seems I have fallen victim to a melted housing causing a failure. I've read about the situation somewhere here on the forums and suspected it might be the case. So VW is 2-3 days out on getting a new part and I'm in a loaner for the time being.
I'm guessing this happens a lot with this part. I wonder if VW will issue a recall in the future.
My driver side is higher than the passenger, how do you adjust the headlights?
View 5 RepliesOk so here's the deal.. A few weeks back I started to notice my passenger side window started to roll slower than the driver side, not by much but its pretty obvious enough every time you either roll the window down or up.. I made an appointment with a VW service center to have them look at it but they said they can't do anything about it .. Is this true ..? The service guy told me that their would be no way to make the motor of the window go any faster or slower.. However I'm back here again due to some clunking/ticking noise every time I roll my pax side window which develop during their first assessment.. So they ordered me a new window regulator which is getting put in now.. The main and initial problem as to why I made an appointment in the first place was for VW service center to fix my pax side window rolling a bit slowly. Now since they are replacing the regulator of my pax side window I asked the service guy whether this would fix the problem of the window rolling slower compare to the driver side and he bluntly said no.. "we cannot make the motor of the window go slower or faster".. Is their any way to fix the rate of the window to go up or down..?
View 6 RepliesI have koni seyup and my car is lowered all the way down all around. my front passenger side sits lower then the driver side.. I also have camber plates in the front. What u think could be the problem.
View 2 RepliesLately I noticed that my headlight beams are crossed between passenger and driver side....
When I start up the car, the headlights move down and up for the initializing... all seems fine... While I backing my car out of the garage, I notice that my light beam start to drift closer to each other as I back out further and then finally crossed... the beam from my passenger headlight ended up on the driver side.... and the beam from my driver headlight ended up on the passenger side.
My AFS lamps are working and initializing when the car turn on.
I got under the car today to change the oil and noticed the front drivers side is about an inch lower than the passenger side its causing the inside of my tire to wear very badly.

As I want to use the electrical mirrors to adjust my driver side mirror, passenger side mirror moves too. Is it possible that these faults caused by not coded ECU?
I connected ground wire of my LED to blue and black cable connected to the mirror and ran another wire from unit 10 in 16 pin door connector to live wire from my LED.
I have a mkvi gti with all stock suspension except rear sway bar. And I'm right about to order driver gear springs. But have a question about suspension. My rear driver side of the car sits about half inch lower then then rear passenger side on a flat ground. Would this be caused by springs? Or struts? Or what. Planning on ordering the driver gear springs but what the real problem is. I want the driver gear so I'm a bit lowered but not crazy low since the roads in my home town are awful and my street I have to do figure 8's all the way down it to not hit a pot hole.
View 3 RepliesThe other day my passenger headlight went out. Today I went to replace it, after much frustration I pulled the bumper and the headlights. I first tried swapping ignitors to see if that was the issue. I went to switch the ballast and now nothing is working except for the passenger high beam. I made an apportionment with the steelership. But I wanted to see if there was anything I maybe able to do to avoid this.

I've recently begun to notice a slight rattle coming from the passenger side door when at highway speeds which becomes more noticeable and annoying when driving over a bump or less smooth roadways. I just reached 1500 miles. I have looked around on the forum and found some issues that various GTI owners experienced most dated from last year (talked with a MK6 GTI owner today at work who mentioned there was a recall not too long ago on this issue?), but I feel like that would have been since fixed with the R if the recall was last year.

View 4 RepliesLast year at WiTW, abeR noticed that my headlights were all cockeyed. He attempted to fix them but couldn't get them to work properly. The self levelers weren't working and the passenger side was always shining for squirrels.
I took it to the dealership and after a bit of troubleshooting, they replaced the entire headlight assembly. Warranty is good.
All was good with the world, but now we discovered that the passenger side is acting up again. The self levelers work when you turn on the car, but the shutter to put on the brights on the passenger side will not work when you pull the stalk.
Just seems weird that this unit is so much trouble.
Two months ago I walked out to my car as it was remote started and realized the driver side headlight was out. With a quick tap to the lens it was fixed with no further problems to date. As of yesterday my passenger side headlight and side marker went out. The first thing I tried was the tap method which only brought the sidemarker back to life. Could it be the bulb or a worse problem. I am not sure if its just the bulb seeing that the side marker is going off and on.
View 2 RepliesSo sometimes my front drivers headlight and drivers taillight decides not to work. Sometimes one will work and the other wont and other times they all will be working fine. I've checked the fuses and the bulbs and they both are fine.
View 10 Replies2011 golf 2.5l. It all started a year ago, I changed a bulb.from there the head light error came on. I switched out the head light switches on both. Driver Side works all the time and both have been.now getting same problem it in passages side. Have to press the wire for the head light to even turn on sometimes ...... Not under warranty sense I replaced the bulbs my self..... I asked if I can get new wiring. But got a laugh and got a reply that I have to replace the whole head lights it self as a unit. So if I do have to go that route . Not hide stock head lights.
View 5 RepliesI have a 2004 Chevy Venture and the blower (Vent, AC, Heater, doesn't matter) is only blowing air out of the left or driver side of the van, nothing on the passenger side vents. There aren't 2 blower motors, are there? Is a door shut that shouldn't be? This van doesn't have dual climate control like my GM cars do. The rear controls work fine for the 2nd row passengers. Again, not tied to any blower speed or heat vs. AC. Same regardless. Nothing on the passenger side.
