Is there a way to not have all my doors to unlock when I put my 2012 Lexus IS F in park. I would love it if they all stayed locked, and only the driver door unlocked when I unlatch the door from inside.
View 14 RepliesI recently purchased a 2006 Ford F-150 XLT and don't know very much about it, nor Fords in general. I was just wondering if there is any way to have the power doors unlock automatically when I shift into Park or turn the ignition off? It has the option to have the doors automatically lock once I reach 5-10 mph, but I can't find any information about programming it to unlock automatically. It doesn't have the programmable computer display, so everything requires pressing a bunch of buttons when the key is turned on accessory and things like that. I have kids who are always in the back seats, and it gets annoying trying to get them out of the truck when it's off and I forget to manually unlock them.

View 5 RepliesI have a 2004 GX470, fully loaded. When I shift into drive from park, all my doors automatically lock. However, when I park and shift back into park, the doors do not unlock...I have to manually press the unlock button. Is this how it is supposed to be? I have ridden in later Lexus's where the doors unlock when you shift to park. Or is there a switch or method to get the doors to unlock when shifting into park?

View 7 RepliesI have a 2014 Lexus IS 250 that is only 10 months old and my key FOB isn't unlocking the doors. I've tried using both keys. I don't think the batteries are dead since the power light still works on both keys, and they are not even a year old. Not to mention it would be very coincidental that both keys would die at the same exact time.
I need to get to work but don't want to get there and not be able to lock my car.
How, when u have ur keys in ur pockets or whatever and place ur hand behind door handle and it unlocks drivers side door? How do I get other doors to unlock from the drivers side? I always have to unlock my then open door and press button to unlock for passengers.
View 10 RepliesWhile on a recent vacation, my sister-in-law, trying to do a good thing, washed my clothes but neglected to remove my FOB for my 2008 Prius. I returned home only to find that the FOB would not lock/unlock the doors.
I replaced the battery (the old one was reading only .03vDC) but still no remote lock/unlock.
How can you tell if the FOB is working since there is no "little red light" like I have seen mentioned by other owners
It looks as if the FOB should be watertight, is it? Any way to clean inside the FOB in case there is some corrosion? What should be my next step?
I typically carry my keys in my laptop bag, and on my 09 LS460 when I use to open up the back door by grabbing onto the handle all the doors would unlock. Now on my 08 LS460L when I open up the back door it doesn't open all the doors. Is this some type of setting I can change? Or is this something they changed from 08 to 09?

I have a 2008 expedition. Just the other day this problem arose. When hitting unlock on the drivers door switch no function happens. If I hit unlock on the passenger door switch doors on lock as they should. The drivers door will unlock using the keypad on the door. Also it will not unlock from the key Fob but I will hear the relays clicking as if it should. I checked the fuse it's good. I searched online I found some videos showing the wires in the driver side rocker and kick panel and that's a place where alarm companies tap into the factory wires.
Sure enough a few connections or poor so I redid them. However the problem remains. I don't know if this is something as simple as just the switch is bad, or is it something else like a relay to unlock. How to verify the switch is functioning with a multimeter? ... I just learned from Ford that the passenger side switch is identical to the driver side. So my next diagnosing and install the passenger side switch that I know it's functioning in the driver side and see if the problem goes away. If the problem goes away obviously the switch is no good. If the problem remains it's something in the wiring up to the switch. I'll report back and let you know because if it's the wiring
I have a 2004 Screw lariat. When i turn the truck off, the locks no longer unlock automatically. Also when I press the unlock on my key fob, the headlights flash, but the doors do not unlock. And the driver side lock/unlock switch is no longer working either.. could this be a broken wire?

View 2 RepliesI did a search and read the manual but I can't seem to figure it out. Is there a way to unlock all of the doors by pushing the unlock button on the key fob once? I see in the manual it can be done I think by turning "remote 2 - press unlock" on in the car settings but it doesn't seem to work. Also am I reading correctly that there are no door unlock sensors on the rear doors? With my LS and my old IS I could touch the rear doors and all of the doors would unlock but this can't be done on the GX?

Kind of wondering how this could happen, but since I like it that way I don't really want to change it back.
