The backlighting on my climate control panel AND my Gear Shift area is not working. My ride is a 2011 ES350 Garage Queen with less than 3,000 miles. That's not a typo. I have less than 3K miles.

I checked the fuses, they all seem to be ok (is there even a fuse for these lights?) How do i go about fixing this problem?
I usually set my climate control to 78 degrees and leave it on Auto, but whenever I leave the car for more than 5 hours then the climate control somehow resets itself.
The "Auto" light would stay illuminated for about 15 seconds, then it turns off and "Air Conditioner Off" flashes on the Nav screen. Then when I press the "Auto" button again, the climate displays 75 degrees. This has happened everyday for the last 3 weeks or so.
I just bought a very nice Lexus 2007 with a extend warranty from Toyota. This car is a dream to drive but one problem I have encountered, how to fix is the Climate control feature.
Sometimes my unit works properly then it stops responding. The problem I'm having is that the climate control button when pressed wont stay on the control setting on the Nav screen and goes back to the radio station screen.
I also can't control the temp up or down on either driver or passenger side. The only way it works is by using voice commands. I can't turn it off at all. I m going to take to the dealer but they said they never heard so a thing. But I showed the dealer today and he said there is a problem.
My climate control panel switch only works in 4. How do I remove the panel?
View 1 RepliesI haven't been able to find the solution to change C temp readings to F on my 2009 ES350. The car is Canadian and I'm in the US and although it's not a big deal I'd like to change it over. The importation company already changed over the speedo and so the cluster reads F degrees and Miles. Just that one last change to make it all match up.
I read an old thread on the earlier generation that the body control module needs to be changed. But, nothing on this generation. Lots of people trying to go metric from English so maybe we could even trade parts to make it happen.
I just bought a 2014.5 Camry SE. I am really loving this car but I have a question. The black shiny climate control panel (manual climate control) seems a little cloudy. I was wondering if this has a protective film from the factory that needs to be peeled off. I cannot tell by looking at it, and don't want to mess with it until I know.

View 4 RepliesThere’s a problem with my climate-control system. When I turn the fan on, there is no air blowing through the outlets on the instrument-panel. (There is air blowing thru the 2 vents immediately above the floor, and some air blowing at the base of the windshield). This problem exists regardless of what speed I turn the fan on, and regardless of which climate-control setting I choose (or whether I turn on the A/C).
This problem WAS occurring on an intermittent basis, and seemed to develop in RESPONSE TO my turning the knob to “defrost.” Now, however, the problem seems to be permanent. I wonder whether the basic problem is with the round knob that controls the various climate-control settings, as this knob seems somewhat hard to turn.
I have a 2004 Buick Century sedan, with automatic transmission (4speed) w/overdrive, V-6 engine 3.1 L.
I have a 2008 LS360L with 4-zone climate control. For whatever reason, the rear seat controls and display do not work for climate control. The controls still work for radio, rear seat adjustment and window shades, but climate functions are unoperable.
Additionally, the 4-zone buttons on the nav touchscreen are now missing in the climate menu. There used to be left / right passenger settings and then a button to switch to rear seat settings. These options have all disappeared from the menu.
I can press the 4-zone physical button on dash and manually change temperature settings for driver or passenger by pressing physical driver / passenger temperature up / down buttons.
The only thing I can attribute to this is I had the dealer do a map upgrade to the nav system. All other features / functions work, but the timing is somewhat suspect... They really do not believe this upgrade caused the problem.
Are there hidden menus I may have hit to deactivate this feature?
2007 F-250 One light in the tach is out, my question is how do I get to it to replace it? Are these instruments lit with conventional bulbs or solid state circuitry?
View 2 RepliesMy 2011 ES350 has 43,000 miles and runs great. I took it to Firestone today for tire rotation, full synthetic oil change and I let the guy talk me into adding fuel injector cleaning.
When I got the car back, I noticed the Auto Climate Control button wasn't working properly. If I press it on, I can't press it off. The green light stays on. If I turn off the fan, the Auto button goes off. I am positive the button worked before the service.
What could have happened that would cause this? I know the service guy had to press some buttons to turn off the "oil change required" message. Could he have messed something up in the process?
Just bought a used 2007 Passat 3.6L with 29K on it. Great car so far. However, I am wondering about a sound that is coming from inside the dash area. Sometimes when I am at idle, especially just after starting the car, I can hear what sounds like movement within the dash. I'm thinking that it must be the climate control system moving louvers, etc? It isn't constant, and really not all that bothersome. My wife at first thought there was a mouse inside! Is this something that others have noticed? Should I bring it in for inspection?
View 8 RepliesFirst off my vents stopped blowing completely. At this time the thermostat was still functioning. Fuse 28 was blown. I replaced the fuse and it blew again shortly after turning the heater on. I replaced the relay and resistor and still blowing fuses. For some reason I tried a 30A fuse and it didn't blow but a few minutes after turning on the heater there was a burning smell. I immediately turned it off and pulled the fuse back out, which was hot. I then replaced the blower motor and at this point there is no power at all to the control panel. The fuses are all fine as well as the relay and resistor. There's power to the fuses. So it seems like somewhere between the fuse box and the control panel I'm losing power.

A couple of years ago, I noticed whenever I changed my climate controls to defrost or bi-level, there was a 'gurgling' noise coming from behind the panel as the mechanism switched. Several months ago, the gurgling stopped as did the ability for me to change where the fans vents. Right now it is stuck on bi-level. something similar happened in a work truck the other day and I easily traced it to a small tube that had detached from a plug. I am wondering if the climate controls in the Santa Fe are also vacuum controlled and, if so, where might I find this tube?
View 2 RepliesJust picked up a pretty nice 2002 sc430 today. On the drive home I realized all the dash backLights are not lighting up. However the The radio and climate control unit do have a dim backlight working but is stuck at one level of illumination.
Like most cars the all dash lights should be very bright during the day and when you turn on the headlights they should all Dim down. ..... Not on this SC.
Makes no difference what position the headlight switch is in....Nothing changes or lights up

Fuses? I am not sure what to try.
2010 UK Santa Fe manual box, suddenly will not set Cruise Control. At same time gear change advisory indicator also stopped working. OBDII tester will not initiate to check things out but first time I have tried this. Fuses checked all OK (I think).
View 1 RepliesI have a 2009 Hyundai Sonata that has the digital display for the climate control- which i am assuming is the auto climate control system that is talked about on here frequently. The problem is that the fuse for the climate control system continually blows, causing the display and all controls for the climate control system, to stop working. Put a new fuse it, blows again.

View 2 RepliesRecently noticed that the automatic climate control on my 2006 Sonata stopped working. The temperature readout still shows desired interior temperature but nothing happens when dial is turned all the way up or down. When in manual mode, the heater fan will adjust faster or slower when dial is turned so I still get heat/ac but only by dialing manually. If I switch to automatic mode, the fan will operate in whatever setting it was in when in manual mode. What part do I need to replace in all likelihood and how hard is it to replace?
