I just bought my first Lexus. It is a 2009 ES350 with navigation. I can use the hands free with no problem and even picks up SIRI but when I tried transferring my contacts from my iphone4s to the phone book it loses connection every time. Same thing when I try to stream music.

View 14 RepliesI have an iPhone 4S that connects to the car fine. The problem is that it randomly drops bluetooth during a call. It does repair after random periods of time. My only guess is the phone because the iPhone 4 I just traded in never had this issue. I have tried deleting the pairing from both the car and phone without any luck.

View 2 RepliesI started using the Bluetooth connection to stream pandora over using entune lately because entune seems to take forever to start up and I just start pandora with Siri and turn to the Bluetooth input on my head unit. This worked good for a few weeks and now all the sudden it doesn't have sound.. The screen shows what song is playing and I can use my steering wheel controls to skip songs and it shows the progress bar of the song duration progressing but no sound? I have not tried it thru the entune app since this started happening so I am not sure if it works that way recently(I'm usually drivig and don't want to fumble around turning on hotspot to connect to entune).

View 3 RepliesThe Prius V drops the bluetooth connection sporadically and after a bit reconnects; when I start up the car the connectivity is not always seamless-often saying no Bluetooth is set up but then after a few seconds connects; I can be on hands free and talking away only to find out I lost bluetooth and the call reverted to the phone, and finally I have tons of static.
The bottom line is I can no longer use the phone in the car for business.
I have a 2007 LS 460. Bluetooth connects fine to my phone and works great for few minutes. Bluetooth disconnects and I get a message to the meaning that Emergency calls terminates the bluetooth connection. Mind you that I did not touch anything nor have I made any emergency calls to cause this. I have to shut off the car and started it again to reconnect which again only lasts few minutes.
View 14 RepliesI switched from an Android phone to a iPhone 4 and after the switch I noticed that sometimes the bluetooth A2DP audio goes out in the middle of playing. The bluetooth does not drop connection or lose pairing, but there just no sound.
I can tap the "play" icon on the Nav touch screen and the sound comes back for a minute or so and goes out again repeatedly. If I don't do anything and just wait, after a minute or two the sound spontaneously returns and usually keeps going.
At first I though it was a problem with the podcast app I was using, but then I noticed the exact same behavior with playing music with the built-in native iPod app.
I have a new 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited with the factory navigation system installed.
The car recognized my iPhone 4 and connected with no problems. The manual says that the contact list uploads from the phone to the car automatically. My contact list did upload to the car automatically, but about 20% of the contacts did not transfer. I tried it several times with the same results.
I have a 2007 GS 350. A week ago, I deleted my iPhone from the memory in my Lexus. I tried to add it again, but I am unable to do so. After I click 'Register' on the screen (car), I then click the 'Device' which says 'Not Paired' until I push the device on the phone. As soon as I select the device, the vehicle screen disconnects the setup process.

View 14 RepliesMy wife has a new 2015 RX and in setting up the IPhones phones the contacts were downloaded. The problem is that we both have some of the same contacts and now we have many duplicates. Is there a way around this?
I wondered if I deleted both phones then added one with contacts, then turned off automatic downloads and added the second phone. Probably come up short a few contacts but better than a mess of dupes. It also appears that the car downloads ALL contacts from your IPhone and not just the groups you may be using.
I'm a long time Lexus owner but new to 3GS, I've searched around but couldn't find an answer. Is it possible to sync my phone book to the car?

View 2 RepliesI have a '10 with NAV. iphone 5S. Bluetooth enabled on phone and syncs to car. Phone calls work great.
On the Radio function, there is a BT (among others) tab, however mine is greyed out. AUX tab lights up with the cable plugged into the port in the black hole and my phones headphone port. Whether this cable is plugged in or not, the BT tab is never accessible. My wife has a '13 Venza with NAV same iPhone and she can play music through her phone wireless, selecting the BT tab.
I have a 2010 RX350. Using my iPhone 5 with the bluetooth in the car is a little hit and miss/sluggish. When hitting the button for Siri, the car seems to struggle with the process.
I am curious if the firmware for the car is current... and if not, does a more current firmware update the bluetooth for better functionality. I haven't had it updated for almost 2 years. I do have navigation.
Just purchased 5th Lexus. Still have 2004 SC430 & 2009 ES. On 2013 ES350, would like to have IPhone linked for phone only and a Samsung S4 linked as the music player. IGoal is to have both devices active at same time - one as phone and second for music.
View 13 RepliesThe Bluetooth audio works fine w/ Enform for apps like Pandora when my iPhone is not plugged into the USB port on the car. However, when the phone is plugged into the USB port (so that I can charge it) the Bluetooth audio cannot be heard. The car looks to still be receiving data from the phone, as the song & album info appear on the display but there is no sound.
Wondering if when the iPhone is plugged into USB port it "mounts" the phone as a drive (for the media player) and therefore shuts down the audio portion of Bluetooth?
