I'm getting a little rumble in my Lt Rear wheel bearing with just over 50k miles. I'm looking online at parts and the part number for the hub/bearing assy is 4246033030. It's showing up as a Toyota part as well.
Does the same part matches a Camry or Avalon? The Toyota version of the part is about half of the price.
I have a new 2016 ES350 and I hear a strange electric motor type sound coming from the LT rear wheel /wheel well area when the car is off (was parked outside and was turned off 5 hours before I noticed the noise). I couldn't figure out what was making the noise, it lasted about 3 minutes after I noticed it before it stopped.
View 2 RepliesWhere the power steering reservoir is located on an ES 350 (2013)? I am looking to change the fluid out since my steering wheel is making some noise at full lock. I have been looking under the hood for 2 days now and cannot seem to locate it. I have located the brake fluid reservoir which was flushed out today...night and day difference in braking btw. Now this power steering is bugging me but i cant locate the reservoir.

View 6 RepliesMy wife's Explorer 4x4 has a noise in the front at around 100km/h. It is not detectable below 90km/h. Its not noticeable from a standstill until around 100, then you hear it a little. I find I can make it more noticeable if I vary my speed from 110 to 105 up and down, then its easier to hear. Once you get below 90 km/h you cant hear it at all.
I have a broken leg right now, and I normally do ALL my own work so I'm a little-limited mobility wise at the moment.
I'm suspecting a wheel bearing. I put the Explorer in the garage and my son jack up both wheels on the drivers side. I started the engine and SLOWLY accelerated up through the gears to 100. I know the hazards with this as I've done it with other vehicles, but this was the first 4x4. Then we jacked up the passenger side (after lowering the drivers side) and did the same thing. I could slightly hear/feel the rumble when the passenger side was jacked up.
I did drive the vehicle on my outdoor ramp/pit so I could use my crutches and get underneath to have a look. I grabbed the cv axles and they feel solid. The propeller shaft was replaced last year, and the cv axles look brand new. (bought the vehicle off a friend two years ago.).
So, are my suspicions correct, is it the pass. side wheel bearing? The Explorer has 294000kms. Never did test it on corners as I didn't want to swerve back and forth on the highway with the amount of traffic.
I just bought a used hyundai santa fe sport 2.0t. i noticed it is fairly loud inside compared to my 2011 sonata. I don't know if im hearing tire noise or maybe a wheel bearing type noise. It's coming from the rear and gets louder as I go faster. I'll admit O am paranoid and probably making this sound worse than it is.
View 12 RepliesI have a 2013 Lexus ES350 and the left edge of the rear bumper keep pops open during the hot summer days. The first time I saw this gap between my bumper and the frame I thought someone has hit my car's bumper. After close inspection, the bumper is smooth as butter just like the first day I brought the car home. I took the car last Saturday to a Lexus dealer for an inspection. The service guy told me there is nothing he can do and maybe bring the car back on a weekday so their diagnostic guy can take a look.
View 6 RepliesI have a rear wheel bearing type of noise that appears to come from the rear. My vehicle is front wheel drive and has 135K miles.
I checked the rear wheel bearing/hub assys on both sides and they had no play but I changed them anyway. Noise did not change at all. Rear tires have normal wear, no cupping or anything. Noise gets louder with increasing speed up to a point and then remains a constant level.
My next thought is to check the front wheel bearings/cv joints.
I have a 13 ES350
With the map on the screen and the Sat audio playing, switch from the map to the SAT screen to make selections.
Pressing "Media" on the dash always defaults to "BT Audio". Then I have to joystick it back to SAT.
Same would be true if I were in the map and wanted to return to the FM screen .
And of course I have tried MENU next to the joystick but that's a multi step process to get back to the desired audio screen.
Talked to Rho-plate, they state they have no plans on making one...alternatives? My car also has Park Assist too, does count me out on the Tow Hook method?
View 2 RepliesWe bought our beautiful ES350 back in May and we love most everything about the car. However I have noticed a fairly pronounced vibration at idle while in gear. I thought it may get better with mileage, but it has not. We are at 2500 miles now. I have seen posts with the previous gen ES about this, but not for the 2013. Just noticed a vibration especially from the steering wheel at idle in drive. I plan on mentioning it on our first service visit which is coming up in another 2500 miles.
View 14 RepliesWith only 4000 miles, the dash lights on our ES350 will go out and stay out until you restart the car. This problem is intermittent which makes it super hard to pin point.
View 6 RepliesThere is 68F outside and I wanted to heat up inside to 78F inside. But the climate control shows me the AC is ON as soon as I turn the fan ON. Why is that? Is the AC really turning on and stays on?
I noticed, because the air from the center vent wasn't particularly warm and the cabin didn't get warm as fast as I would expect. In other cars I would just turn the heat ON max and gradually turn it back, but it is not what I am observing here. I feel the hot air coming from the left vent only - the one next to driver door, but the center vents are barely warm. So I have 2 question here really.
1. Why is the AC indicator on climate control window showing the AC is ON when I am using the heater?
2. Is the AC turning ON always with that indicator turning ON?
How to remove over head console in 2013 Lexus ES350? I know that I should probably just pull it down from the front or back, but I want to be sure ..

1. Outside temp 92 Deg. I start the car and turn on the A/C. It is pumping hot air. I wait 5 min. It is still pumping hot air. I switch it off and start again. It pumps cold air.
2. Outside temp 94 Deg. I start the car and turn on the A/C. It is pumping hot air. I turn it off and on. No luck continued to pump hot air. Next morning out side temp 77 Deg. I start the A/C works fine.
I took it to the dealer. He says unless he can see the failure he cannot do any thing.
My 2013 ES350 is 3 months old, treated like a baby, and today I noticed paint peeling on the left front rim in two places (white areas on photo below). I never hit a curb (or anything else), and there is no dent or scratch associated with this.
View 14 RepliesI have a 2013 ES350 with 8K miles. Since car has been new, experienced intermittent surging and uneven driving at speeds between 25-40mph. At times the RPM gauge will spike and other times RPM stays stable. It seems like it is searching for the right gear and very noticeable when it does this. I have tried different grades of gas, different driving modes. Nothing works. Problem is inconsistent but persistent.
Also, experiencing cruise control issues going up and down hills where vehicle feels like it trying slow itself down and then shifting hard to maintain speed.
Only have driven 2900 miles and engine frequently misses when it slows from 40 mph down to 35 mph. After a test drive dealer told me that car is handling normally. Can't be true. I consistently get a "lagging" feeling whenever I slow down from 40 plus mph to 35. My foot remains on the accelerator with just a slight decrease in foot pressure. I'm returning to dealer next week and I don't know what I will do if they tell me the vehicle is acting normal.
View 10 RepliesMy iPod usually plays just fine in my ES350, but once a week or so it freezes up. I have to reboot the iPod and then all is good for another week or so. I have two iPods; this happens to each of them. The iPods do not freeze up when tied into my home stereo system. Usually there is an iPhone in the car, using the blue-tooth connection; no hardwired connection for the iPhone in the center console. I am using an Apple connection cable, not a cheap knock-off cable.
View 9 RepliesI hear sometimes a tiny metallic clicking noise coming from the front of headliner in my 2013 Lexus ES350, on the driver's side. It only happens sometimes while driving over the small potholes. It can be from the sunroof mechanism, but I am not sure. What can cause it?
