How to disassemble the side mirror of GX460? I heard that it just clip-on, but it's hard to take off.

got a quick question, i have the 1aauto 2008+ mirrors on my truck. How do you take the mirrors apart? When it rains or i wash the truck the bottom of the mirror fills up with water, and it slowly drips all over my doors when i drive the truck and when i open or shut the doors the water sloshes around and again gets all over my door. I want to remove the bottom piece (if it comes off) and drill two drain holes, i would do it on the mirror still but im afraid id hit the wires or something for the heated/power functions

Well I took the GX into a rough part of town in and literally left the car parked for 30 minutes, and I come back to find the drivers side mirror missing. Good news is, the thieves unplugged it, dare I say professionally and I have no ripped or spliced wires, everything is in tact. I found a mint condition mirror on ebay and bought it for a fraction of the cost the stealership would charge, however as simple as it looks, it is a bit difficult to snap the mirror onto the white plastic piece. I do not want to apply too much pressure and crack the mirror from the front. Any hacks on an easier way to put it in?

I have a new 2015 RX 350 and the side view mirror quit folding when I turn off the car. The auto light is turned on. It will work when I utilize the manual switch and it will open when I use the auto switch, but it won't close when I park the car and shut it off. We were following an RX350 the other night, it was a later model as the rear wiper was hidden, and I noticed it had turn signal lights at the outboard edge of the side view mirrors. Is this a 2015 thing or something we missed on the 2014?
Might not be enough to trade up for but something I hope continues into the Gen 4 models as it is a feature I like.

Lexus GX 2010+ :: Drivers Side Mirror Removal To Change Turn Signal
There was some kind of accident somewhere that broke the turn signal in the drivers side mirror on my GX 460, 2012.
I have worked on other cars before and it has been easy, remove the screws holding the housing in place, and based on swell's site I can see the new signal bolts on.
However, I see the 4 Philips screws behind the physical mirror, and I can access 3 of them, but not the 4th. It seems I would need to remove the physical mirror and I cannot figure out how.
Lexus RX 2010-15 :: Rear Mirror Melting / Side Door Panel Have Ripple Lines
I bought my 2012 RX 350 April 2012. I noticed that the rear mirror had like melting or warp look. Then the side door panel and in back -wing of car (spooler?) had some ripples lines. I went to dealer first they said they would order parts for mirror and side panel (this was fix awhile back sept). but the have to get factory inspector to come out and inspect car for the spooler part.
I dropped my car off because the manager says he needs to look car himself before determining anything. He told me he thinks I parked my car near high efficiency windows and had reflected and caused the melting or warp or ripple on my car.
Lexus GX 2010+ :: GX460 - White Residue Under Oil Cap?
I just purchased a 2010 GX460 with 63000 miles. I saw a buildup of white residue under the oil cap the day of purchase but figured it was just moisture buildup from the car sitting on a car lot and not moving much. Well, after cleaning it off, it came back. I then thought maybe there is moisture in the oil so I took it to the local lexus dealer and had the oil changed. Well, its still coming back. The picture below is buildup from 2 days of driving, I cleaned it off monday afternoon and its wednesday afternoon. When checking the dipstick, I have almost completely clear oil as its new, then about 2 inches above the oil line to 6 inches above there is more of this white stuff. Also, does the lexus drivetrain warrant that lasts to 70k miles apply to 2nd owners?

I found the vehicle drifts heavily to the right, so much so that I have to even hold the steering wheel several degrees to the left to make the car go straight.
