I notice that I am not getting much if any cool air out of the front seats when I have that feature on. I assume that the filter needs to be changed in my '08 LS. The Lexus bible says to see a Lexus dealer to have that done. I want to know where that filter is and if I can buy it and install it myself.
View 4 RepliesI am getting ready to install DVD headrest players in my RX400h. I am stumped on how to remove the read shield of the seat if that makes sence? I believe the are held in by clamps from middle to top but not sure what needs done at the bottome. And I can also feel two straps at the bottom.
How to remove the back so I can run the wires down the seat from the headrests? Pictures? Diagrams?
I need to get my front driver seat and passenger seat replaced because they look so beaten down. The cushion is almost gone and looks very wrinkly.
I really need to come up with the excuse because i doubt they will let me change it if i tell them that its getting wrinkly and the cushion is gone.
I have a 2008 LS360L with 4-zone climate control. For whatever reason, the rear seat controls and display do not work for climate control. The controls still work for radio, rear seat adjustment and window shades, but climate functions are unoperable.
Additionally, the 4-zone buttons on the nav touchscreen are now missing in the climate menu. There used to be left / right passenger settings and then a button to switch to rear seat settings. These options have all disappeared from the menu.
I can press the 4-zone physical button on dash and manually change temperature settings for driver or passenger by pressing physical driver / passenger temperature up / down buttons.
The only thing I can attribute to this is I had the dealer do a map upgrade to the nav system. All other features / functions work, but the timing is somewhat suspect... They really do not believe this upgrade caused the problem.
Are there hidden menus I may have hit to deactivate this feature?
I just bought a 2006 Lexus GS300 AWD. Bought it with 99k from a older gentleman who seemed like he took really care of the car. Gave me all type of Lexus dealership service receipts. I recently noticed that the driver side seat heating and cooling doesn't work right, passenger seat works fine. I haven't checked the fuses yet just wanted to get some opinions before getting into it.

View 6 RepliesI purchased a used LS 460L w/ 60k miles after a few months noticed a rumbling sound front end noise took it to dealer was told upper and lower control arms and bushings needed to be replaced at a cost of $4,000. Looking for options have a friend with LS460 w/90k miles no problems must be the L version issue ???

View 3 RepliesI have a 2008 LS460L and the front driver's and passenger's windows have wind noise, sometimes worse than others. I also drove a 2007 which experienced the same problem. It is still under warranty, but not sure if there is anything which can be done. Not sure how a car with doubled panned windows can have so much wind noise.
View 14 RepliesMy wife's 2007 wasn't cooling very well. I put a gauge on it and it was slightly low so I added a can of R134. Cooled better for a (very) short time. Now it doesn't cool at all.
View 13 Replies2nd time happening to me: I started my car, backed up and drove few hundred feet before stopping at a traffic light.
While stopping there, I noticed the engine cooling fan was running at max and the temperature was going rapidly up (in less than 10sec the gauge almost hit the red line).
While the gauge was going up I shifted the gear stick to P and the gauge dropped to normal in less than 5sec.
I shifted back to D and the car drove normally ever since.
I have a 2009 Lexus ES 350. For the past couple of months since having my air filter changed at Jiffy Lube the air conditioner won't come on and there's a message on the screen that says to check the air conditioner connection. I took it to Lexus to check and they only gave me an estimate of charges for $384, but no explanation of the problem. What might be wrong and the cost to repair?
View 2 RepliesI'm attempting to change the A/C cabin filter on my 2013 LS. I've followed the instructions explicitly including setting the A/C function to recirculate mode.
However, when I get to removing the filter case I press on the 2 tabs as indicated in the instructions and try as I might the case doesn't move.
Am I missing something? Is there a specific knack to this?
The A/C filter light came on. After I change it, which I DO remember how to do, must I reset the reminder, which I DO NOT remember how to do...or is that automatic once the A/C filter door is opened?

1) Do I have to disconnect 12v battery (to avoid triggering airbags)?
2) Care in replacement installation due to "explosive" component?
I used to replace my LS430 cabin air filter myself. Now I have a 2012 LS460, and they have made the hatch door in the glove box motorized. I know to open the hatch, it has something to do with depressing the Fan button on the dash. But I don't know exactly what to press, if car should be running, or ignition simply On but not running, etc. What is the exact procedure that opens the little hatch in the glove box so I can replace the filter ? (And my primary reason for wanting to bring it to dealer is simply that it took me 5 minutes to do it on my LS430, vs MUCH longer to go to my dealer.)

View 7 RepliesI recently purchased a CPO 2009 LS460. There was a vibration in my seat at 70 mph that I asked them to fix (tire balance). They have done it 3 times now, including road force balance, and the vibration is still there at 70 mph. I assume that it must not be the tires since they have done it 3 times. What else could it be? Should I take it to a tire store (is Lexus as good as tire stores at fixing problems like this)?
