On my LS 600 HL- there are two buttons on the rear door handle. One is C and other is M.
One lights up, when pressed. What is the function of each?
I would prefer to leave the back seats in reclined position permanently but I find that they go back to erect position often (I didn't particularly test this function). What is the function of the C and M buttons?
Removing the back seat to allow the front seats to be reclined more? at 6'4'' I need more leg room! Or any other way on getting more leg room in the front seats?

The driver's seat reclined and will not come back up... not digging the gangsta posture or the extra ab workout to sit up straight (luckily I don't have to drive very far at the moment). The motor to go back seems to work (obviously) but makes no noise when the button is pushed to move it back up. What do I have to do to fix this?
View 1 RepliesThe headrest of back seat will bend over when fold down the seat. But one of the headrests can't go back to original up position. The dealer has adjusted the cable but this just temporarily fixed the problem. The problem is back again. I will go back to dealer but can they really fix it? Should I ask for a replacement of the whole seat?

View 4 RepliesSo this morning, I pressed memory seat #1, and it did not move my chair to the position that I set it for. I had to adjust the chair manually. Every time, I move the chair back or recline the back, in intermittently beeped every 1-2 seconds. It does not beep if I move the chair forward. Could it be the fuse? or what could be wrong?
View 9 RepliesI have a 2012 2-door R with sunroof and navigation. Almost from the very beginning the driver's seat had a problem. It would not hold the position of the back. It would slowly keep going back. Over a couple of days of driving (less than 2 hours per day) I would have to adjust the back about a 1/4 turn of the wheel to get it back to the original position. I have taken it back to the dealer twice for this and they could not find anything obvious.
They said that they would need to take the seat apart in order to figure it out. According to them I am the first one with this issue they have heard of. I am debating if I should keep adjusting it every couple of days, or take the chance and let them take it apart, hoping that there will be no collateral damage in the process. How easy/difficult it is to get to the guts of the seat?
I have a 2000 Regular Cab Work Truck with non power split bench seat. The passenger side back will not hook in the up position.
Before diving into it. Is the mechanism broken or is it something I can fix if I tear it apart? There is nothing stuck under or behind that I can tell.
Does the memory seat function remembers the back position (angle)? Or does it just remember the height and forward/backward position of the seat? The back angle position is not remembered in my 2014 Avalon Limited but I am not sure whether I should report this as a problem or whether that is just the design.
View 2 RepliesThe middle sliding seat has jammed and I cannot get it back into the regular sitting position. I don't see any obvious obstructions, but there are a couple of springs not attached, and I may be missing a connecting rod.
Any pictures of how a "normal" mechanism should look like?
The passenger side 3rd row seat is stuck in the down position. The driver side lifted and locked in place just fine, but when I pull the release lever on the passenger side the outer part releases but center portion won't budge at all.
I've tried everything I can, which isn't much other than pulling and grunting at the same time (usually works for me )Critical because I need to set the 3rd row up in order to reach the bolt holding the 2nd row seat so they can be removed so I can access the fuel covers in order to replace the faulty fuel sensors so my gas gauge will work.
I have a rattle coming from the third row seats when they are in the stored position. It is mainly when I hit rough roads and uneven terrain.

One question so far. The web site specifically says the passenger seat position can be saved to the memory, but for the life of me I don't see how. Can it?
Put the driver side rear seat down and now it won't come back up. It feels as though the latch isn't connected yet I can see the cable wrapped on it still. Need to tear into it... do the backs of the seats pop off?

View 2 RepliesMy wife is very short and when she drives has the seat in a very high and upright position. We realized that she has to be careful because the driver seat headrest will push against the headliner. I think the adjustment range could have been better planned. Our last car would not allow this to happen.

View 12 RepliesHow to take out the back seat of the Passat? I'm needing to run a Pioneer IP bus cable to the trunk and it would be easier with the bottom of the rear seat out. I looked in the archives and found a thread saying you just pull up on the bottom. I have pulled up on the bottom of the seat so hard that I'm worried that I will break it. I still can't get it out. Is there something I'm missing?
