Ly 2007 LS 460 just started have a wind noise around the drivers side door pillar. Is it time to change the rubber molding around the door. If so, where would I start to buy one?

I suddenly noticed some wind noise at the driver's side B-pillar the other day, almost like my window wasn't closed tight. But it was. So later on, I checked the outside of the window and found that the little external rubber seal on the rear vertical portion of the door frame was kinked and not laying flat. This is where the window moves up and down in its channel on the trailing edge.
I managed to press the seal back in place and it solved the problem ... but the next time I rolled my window down and back up, it kinked again.
My car is now at the dealer awaiting a new seal. For some reason, it decided to start scrunching up the seal when the window is raised, and the seal has to be replaced.
So if you hear wind noise over your left shoulder (or your passenger over his/her right shoulder) check that the little narrow black rubber seal is where it should be ... laying flat.
I'm getting "popping" noises when braking from my front, drivers side suspension. Past knowledge tells me it's probably an upper control arm / Tie Rod/Swaybar link problem. Everything is nice and tight in there.
Also getting a violent "thumping" noise/feeling constantly when driving from the same side.
I just dropped it off at the dealer, and they are probably going to come back saying the upper control arm needs to be replaced (we will see).
I purchased a brand new 09 LS 460 a few weeks ago - it is an amazingly beautiful car and a joy to look at.
Unfortunately, I think I have the dreaded wind noise problem, as there is very noticeable wind noise above about 65 mph - it gets pretty bad when it is really windy outside.
I love driving the car and have a long daily commute - however, this issue it starting to bother/annoy me and I find it takes away from my enjoyment.
My front drivers side pillar is flapping around and won't stay in the set position. It seems to be the washer that the one of the clips goes into (at the very bottom of the pillar) has corroded.
So firstly I am trying to take it off - but after reading the removal of windscreen instructions I see:
21. REMOVE FRONT BODY PILLAR OUTER RH
a) Remove the nut.
I can't see a nut and if it's under the pillar how do I access it?
And then
34: INSTALL FRONT BODY PILLAR OUTER RH
a) Exchange the clip with a new one
What clip is this referring to and what is the part number.
I have always has a lot of wind noise from the b-pillar on the driver's side (not passenger) over 80 mph... and it's not coming from the mirror...
I think I remember something about a vent or breathing hole in the b-pillar that's supposed to be open...but when covered causes wind roar at elevated highway speeds...
I have a 2011 limited and around 41 mph I get a lot of wind noise from the top of the driver side A pillar. I did some research and it seems like it's a known issue. During my research I found there may have been an advisory issued (T-TT-0065-10) by Toyota, but the dealer can't find a record of it.
I've heated the seals / molding around the top of the door and re-fluffed it which didn't work. The seals are doing their job. When I pressure wash the car no water is getting in (never did). Tried sealing the gaps with blue painters tape to stream line the gaps and that didn't work. I'm pretty sure the noise isn't caused by the seal. It's difficult to pinpoint.
Getting wind noise from the A pillar drivers side at highway speeds?
I'm getting what I feel is excessive wind noise almost like my window is cracked open. I'm sure this is something the dealer would be able to fix under warranty correct?
I have an 07 sc 430. It has a wind noise on drivers side. It seems to be at the top of the window where the top fits into the header bar.
View 3 RepliesNew LS 460 owner (2010 swb). Owned the car for two months now and started hearing a clunk noise from the rear when the car accelerates very slowly. Showed it to the dealer and they could not replicate.
Also hearing a water rustling noise from the right side (appears to be coming from the passenger door); again, this occurs only when the car is accelerating gently from rest.
About two years ago I paid the dealership to fix my drivers side door. It had TERRIBLE wind noise and once complete there was a major difference. I was very happy with the results. Guess what's back? Yes, that damn wind noise.

View 5 RepliesI have a 2007 and lately the driver's side headlight goes out sometimes when I'm driving. If I turn the lights off, and then back on, it will light up again and stay lit. Sometimes it will work for weeks and then all of a sudden it will go out. So I'm thinking of replacing the bulb(s)
Are the headlight bulbs in the 2007 SC regular light bulbs that I can purchase at a local automotive store?
My 2007's drivers side headlight is randomly shutting off. I can see it slightly flutter when I inspect it. I'm not sure how to replace it. I've taken off the cap/wiring harness and can see the end of the lamp but it isn't clear to me how to proceed.

While I'm at the topic of wind noise, do you also notice that when driving on a two-lane hwy, the wind noise leaks from the rear sunshade opening on the door panel when driving by the opposite traffic?
View 1 RepliesHaving persistent wind noise from around the driver's door right at the "A" pillar. I've been to two different dealerships with no resolution. I don't need any home remedy solutions as I've done just about everything humanly possible to fix it myself. Tape, 1/4" vinyl tubing, foam insulating tape, moving the door striker nothing works. VWOA is now involved and they are clueless as well.
View 7 RepliesI'm having a real issue with wind noise coming from the A pillar area. I've been to the dealer twice and still have no resolution yet. When I went in today and showed them where the wind noise is coming from the tech. just stood there dumbfounded like he's never came across this problem before. Tried blaming it on wind noise around the mirror. I showed them how when you close the door on a dollar bill there is hardly and force needed to pull the bill out. They adjusted the door striker the first time which didn't work any. There are some major alignment issues with the door and the seal. It's so bad water leaked inside the car during a heavy rain.
View 1 RepliesI found a fix for excessive wind noise around the mirror and "A" pillar area. There is a gap between the side window and the mirror housing. This gap must be filled to alleviate the problem. An Audi forum suggested rubber tubing to fill the area. I've found a better solution in using adhesive backed wool felt insulation strips. Grainger Supply company sells the strips in 12" lengths. I used the 1/4"W x 3/8"T x 12"L. piece. You have to do some trimming to get the correct fit but it worked great. Clean the area with alcohol before applying.
View 11 RepliesNormally, when I approach my LS460 with the key in my pocket, the car will automatically unlock once I touch the door handle. A few weeks ago, the driver's side door stopped unlocking. All of the other doors unlock but the driver's side door does not. If I take the key fob out and use it to lock the door and then unlock it, the driver's side door usually unlocks after several attempts with the key fob. I have changed the battery in my remote to no avail.

View 7 RepliesCame out to find my drivers mirror had been ran into by someone walking by and now the mirror won't retract. You can hear the gear moving, but the housing doesn't move. The mirror works just fine, just the folding action is not working. Before I remove the door panel to remove the mirror assy, can you replace the gear inside or do you have to replace the entire assy?
