Is there a button, function etc that will allow me to disable the telescopic steering wheel tilt-away feature ? I would rather not have the steering wheel move every time I insert/remove the key. LX570 2014 ..

View 2 RepliesThe leather on my steering wheel was peeling off and I brought it up to the dealer and out of their goodwill, they decided to replace it with a completely new one. Props to the dealer. However this is where all the problems start to occur. I drop off the car This past Sunday and pick up a loaner. I get a call the next day saying my car is ready. So I get there and everything seems good.
There's an open road that I like to take home but this is where I noticed something weird. When my steering wheel was level, the car was veering right.. I had to tilt the steering wheel a little left to go straight . I call the dealership right away and they tell me to bring it back. So I do that and pick up another loaner.
Following day , I go back to the dealership and they tell me they fixed the alignment. Now everything is good! I was yet again wrong. When I got home, I noticed my steering wheel was weird.
So taking the car back tomorrow to get this fixed! Still props to the dealer for giving me a brand new steering wheel..
I LOVE my new 2015 RX. I took delivery just a few weeks ago (07/11/14) and just hit the 1K mark! This car is so nice, and solid I truly am so happy and proud to have it.
One little *little* thing that I did notice.. is that over the past few days.. I notice that when I get in the car, or exit.. and the automated tilt steering wheel moves up or down, it make a very loud, and defined "squeak" noise. Specifically happens in the lower end, (i.e. when the wheel is near the bottom of the travel, as I have the wheel set to the lowest setting). the upper part of the travel seems fine.
Is this something I can fix myself with grease of some type? I would hate to have to block off a day, take to the dealer, get a loaner car.. and then go back etc.. plus.. I hate going to the dealer.. I am of the mindset that they generally cause more issues. (What if they scratch something, sit on the edge of my leather seats and make creases, etc.. ) so, if there is a way I can fix it.. I am all for it.
I have a tow haul problem with my 2008 F350 6.4L. It will not go into tow haul unless I tilt steering wheel up all the way and than slam it down and than it will engage. Than when I want to take it out, I have to shut off truck. Any wiring diagram and info on how to get at the wiring. Do I have to disarm Air Bag and pull Steering wheel?
View 13 RepliesHow to turn this off? I managed to turn off the driver's side auto-slider but can't figure out how to turn off the steering wheel portion. I'm not a big fan of the entry/exit assist. I kind of feel that all that movement will wear out the motor over time. Perhaps I'm just being paranoid.

View 11 RepliesHave problems getting window tinted? Just got my RC 350 and i took it to one of the most referred places in town for tints. (small town)
Anyways, they are having trouble with the drivers side window bc that little autoroll down feature when you open the door keeps on messing up the bottom edge of the tint. I've already taken it back to the shop for them to fix it and now I have to take it back on Monday to get it fixed again.
Any way to disable this auto roll down feature on the rc 350?
Today my car came back from service, now when I reverse park I get this display where when you move the steering wheel you can choose the spot you park in. Before I was just happy reverse parking my car myself and get a different display showing me the back view with with green and red lines I think where the car is moving towards etc. I can't figure out how to disable this steering wheel park assist.
View 1 RepliesI have a 2009 Accent GLS. I bought it used, but it came fully loaded- AC, power everything- in fact, I checked the package list and everything that was an option, I found in my car. I never thought to check for the tilt steering wheel, though.
Recently, I decided to try and play around with it. I feel the lever there to pull and adjust it, however, it seems stuck. The lever just won't move. Is there some special way to release it to tilt the steering wheel?
Not that I need it tilted a certain way, just a minor thing I was wondering about.
my turn signals only work with the steering wheel tilted all the way up. It works for me, but my wife drives the truck mostly because we live a mile from her work. The dealer said it was a "peanut connector." And can someone walk me through the steps to fixing it?
View 8 RepliesA co-worker of mine got a recent 300h and has had some intermittent recurrences of the following issue when powering down the car. Normally, the tilt wheel tilts up and driver's seat slides back for you to exit the car easily. It's happened about 5 times during very cold weather where the motion of both steering and seat would stop partially along the way, not completing the cycle.

There is a switch located on the mirror. It does not work. This is the mirror that it has. I do want to retain the automatic dimming mirror feature. Is it possible to jumper the switch inside the mirror?

I know about the intensity wheel but it does not have enough to overcome the auto-dim feature. Can the auto-dim be disabled, ripped out, sent to Iran, threatened with a .45? View 5 RepliesI own a 2015 LX570 with just 8000 miles on it. Been having an issue with my steering position. Every time im on a straight road the car seems to be pulling to the left side if my steering wheel is placed exactly to the center. At first i thought it was an alignment issue as i took it several times to the dealer and they just tell me that there is nothing wrong with it and it drives accurately straight until one time a guy from the dealer came and checked it himself with me and realized the issue and told me that its not an alignment issue its something related to the the electrical steering position not being accurate (( that's what he said)). They took it in and made it accurate as they say, to be honest its not really accurate but much better than before until last week when it became worse and like how it was before, pulling hard to the left, its like if i want to drive straight i need to pull the steering wheel slightly to the right.
