I have a 2007 RX400h. All of a sudden I see the airbag light on the dash and the passenger airbag off light always lit. It does not matter whether I am sitting in the passenger seat or not. I should easily weigh enough to turn on the passenger air bag.
I have a basic OBDII scan tool. It does not show any error codes.
Airbag light has come on my dash, i have a creader code reader and cleared the faults, but airbag light still remains on, recheck error code and none, all cleared, not sure why the light is not resetting.
View 13 RepliesLast night, my 2008 Prius was hit from the rear. The bumper was damaged as well as a few starches on the hatch. However the latch for the hatch was move forward so the hatch no longer latches. Also during the collision, my daughter's heavy backpack was throw against the back of the passenger seat with enough force to hurt her back.
The airbag warning light remains on along with the dash indicator saying the airbag is off. Does mean all the airbags are disabled? Can this be reset? The car will be professionally repaired but I still need to drive it until I can get it repaired.
This is on my 1995 Crown Vic. It started after sitting for a day in the hot Al sun with all the windows up. At start-up the light is out. It blinks on and off a few times and then remains on until I turn the car off. My ODBII scanner will not tell me anything about that lamp.
View 8 RepliesFor a long time the red airbag dash light has been on. It's a 2004 Toyota Camry V6 XLE. I've tried taking the battery lead off but that would be to easy to work. I'm not sure what caused it, I do all my own work on this car but I don't really mess with the airbags so I'm not sure how to diagnose this. What would cause this light to come on? I'm a kind of concerned that the airbags won't deploy in an accident and also not sure if it will pass the annual NYS inspection that I need ASAP. I really do not want to go to the dealer is there anyway I can troubleshot this myself?

View 15 RepliesThis happened last year right at the end of winter and than stopped during summer, just started back up today, just so we have all the info- my airbag light in cluster comes on and airbag off light come on above radio and both turn off. Once the truck is started a very loud ear piercing single tone comes from under dash (130 dB at least) this can range from 5-30 seconds depending on how cold it is outside.

The parking brake light was intermittently having a hard time turning off every time I disengaged the brake and became more inconsistent until finally, now, for about 6 months the light has just remained on the entire time, regardless of whether or not the brake was engaged.
Just to clarify the brake is still fully functional and will prevent the car from rolling when engaged.
I recently failed my inspection because of the light. The mechanics of the brake are fine, but the light wont turn off. They quoted me around $1,000 to fix due to them having to rip out the whole dash to get to the parking brake assembly (8 hours of labor).
However, is there any way to access the pedal to do the repairs without having to take the interior of the car apart? I've also heard that it could mean my brake fluid is low? But they didn't mention that during the inspection.
2004 prius vsc light remain on while driving and show the error code C1336.
View 1 RepliesI have a problem with Airbag light - it blinks in the dashboard. The dealer turned it off twice (by connecting their computer) but it came back again. I'm pretty sure (and the dealer thinks the same) the problem is related to wiring because the light does not blink sometimes. And, when it does not blink, sometimes it starts blinking again, especially when I drive fast and make a "sharp turn" (hope that makes sense).
So far, I only know the faulty airbag is in the driver's seat (the dealer told me so). Since they turn the light off and it comes back again later, they suggest me leaving the car in the service, so they can remove the driver's seat and check the issue.
I pulled my cluster, but had the key in ???? So now the airbag light won't turn off. How do I clear this to turn it off? I have a 2004 Lexus GX470 ....

View 3 RepliesI have 228,000 miles on my wonderful GX 470. Love it!! Very Few Problems. My Airbag Light on the Cluster stays ON sometimes and sometimes is OFF. There is no consistency. I will be driving and the light will come ON and stays ON. And then, it will stay OFF for few drives. Why the light would sometimes come ON?
View 3 RepliesI have an 04 and the airbag light comes on when started and stays on. I noticed when I start it without sitting in the drivers seat the light goes out. It will illuminate again when I sit or apply pressure to the seat. I looked up the component list on Sewell's website and there is a airbag seat sensor under the drivers seat. My question is it seems to be the issue however it also seems to be working to pick up the presence of a driver. I have an aftermarket warranty that a Rep says it doesn't cover???. I'm assuming if the light goes out without weight on the seat should I replace the sensor? Or is there a "bladder" under the seat cover that may need replacement?

View 2 RepliesI just had my oil changed today and while driving home the red airbag light came on in the instrument cluster and the passenger airbag light on the dash started flashing. When I connected the passenger seatbelt the flashing light went off. While in the dealer also tightened some screws in the center console. I have an under the seat subwoofer that is VERY snug...could that have damaged something when the seat was slid back?

View 11 RepliesFix one thing, something else goes wrong. I replaced the resistor or HVAC power module(nissan's term) on my maxima and fixed the problem. Easy job. Put everything back together and now the air bag light blinks constantly when car is running. I did disconnect an electrical connection for easier access to the resistor and plugged back in. I've read, I just need to reset. None of the reset procedures I find on line seem to work.
