2013 LEXUS RX 350 F Sport
My Power Tailgate opens automatically using the remote or the button next to steering wheel but no longer closes using the remote or that button. It only gives 2 beeps!
Tried toggling the button in the glove box but nothing.
I noticed yesterday that when I push the power tailgate button on the dash to open it, it made a single beep and didn't open. I could only get it to open the tailgate after I unlocked the doors. I also noticed that the key fob wouldn't open the tailgate from outside the vehicle while the doors were locked. I never noticed this before. Is this normal?
View 9 RepliesI have a 2007 3.6 wagon. Tonight, I opened the tailgate with the remote and when I pushed the button on the gate to close it, nothing happened. The close button has suddenly stopped working. I called the dealer and he told me to push it down by hand. That's fine for now, but I want the button working.
There isn't something I did wrong to get the button to refuse to close the door is there? I am assuming the button is broken and needs to be replaced, unless someone tells me that this is a common problem and there is an easy fix.
I tried to start my car with the remote key by pressing the unlock button 3 times and hold on it on the third time. It does not work at all. What is the problem?
View 4 RepliesI have a 2010 RX350 that the power tailgate will open by itself. This happens when sitting and the car off and no keys in it. I had heard that an aftermarket auto start ( which I have) can make this happen sometimes.. Is that true.
View 2 RepliesOn my is, I can remotely open and close the windows and sunroof with my key, by holding the buttons for several seconds.
I seem to remember that this function was engaged by my dealership. however i do not like this function, as I always carry my key in my pocket, and have several times opened the windows by accident because the key button have been pressed while i have the key inside my pocket.
I want disengage this function, preferably without visiting my dealership. Any step by step manual or how to do instruction? Does not say anything about how to do this in the cars manual.
Got an interesting electrical issue on my 2004. I'm not sure if the issues are related but they happened at the same time. About a week ago the nav door stopped closing and the seat memory buttons stopped working. When you press the close button the nav screen moves back but the door never closes. The seat memory buttons on the door don't work either but the seat adjustment controls do work. When adjusting the seat position, as the seat moves moves, you hear beeping. It sounds like the same beep that you hear when memorizing a seat position. I checked and tested all the fuses they seem to be good.
View 7 RepliesMaybe I am paranoid, but recently I pushed power close button on the lift gate and a family member then also pushed the lift gate shut. Is it possible that the lift gate is broken now? It seems to work fine, but if I listen carefully I can hear some what seems to be grinding noises at the very top. Do the other RX power tailgates make a consistent sound throughout the open and close process.
View 6 RepliesWe purchased our 2016 Santa Fe Sport about a year ago and we've always had issues with our automatic tailgate. When we open the tailgate with either the tailgate button itself, the key fob or standing behind the back of the car while it is locked with the 3 beeps; once the tailgate reaches the top, it will start descending back to close right away. It happens more often than it not happening and it's absolutely annoying. I can stop it quickly by hitting the button on the underside of the tailgate and then push it back to the top.

In the past I have poured glue into them, Popped the red thing out, etc , but this is a lease and I might well turn it in in a few years and do not want to physically modify the smart key, but twice in the last week it has falsely triggered by getting pressed by the other keys on my keychain as I sat in the house. This must be a common problem, since I had to defeat the same button on 2 other cars I had. I am wondering if there is a software fix to have the receiver in the car ignore the panic mode.
View 13 RepliesOther than checking the fuse and the valet switch, anything else to look for when the trunk will not open via the key or the dash switch? The car does make the beep when the key remote is pressed, but no open. Also, the top works fine. Gas door works fine. Manual release of trunk also works.
View 9 RepliesI just picked up 2007 LS460. I used the remote to open the trunk, but can't use it to close the trunk. Can only close by pressing the button on the trunk to close. When i press close on the remote, it beeps, but does not do anything.

View 4 RepliesHere is what is happening, if I press the unlock and lock button on remote or from any switch in the car , the front passenger door will not unlock! all of the doors will lock and unlock, except the front passenger dorr will not unlock only, it does lock,just not unlock, i think it may be a bad motor or actuator, I am sure it will be covered under the CPO warranty, especially since its only been less than 1 week since i had it.

After i got my work done, i pulled the key and closed the door. when i was pressing the lock button in my remote key, it wasnt working. Then i went inside my car and even the locks and other things werent working.. nothing was working eventually.

Now I realize I can disable the electronic lift, but it's a shame not to be able to use this feature. I'm sure others have had this problem, but I've googled with no success.

View 2 RepliesToday I replaced my stock 95 Civic headlights with brighter (more white) halogen bulbs. The installation was fast and easy, however, I've noticed one problem after the installation; the remote power locks are no longer working. The car remote still flashes green when I press the button but I get no response from the power locks.
Because of this the alarm no longer activates when I lock my car from the remote. What could be causing the issue? Are the lights taking up too much power? Do I need a better battery? The lights are a big improvement from the stock lights however its very important for my car to be secure. It's been broken into twice, thieves love to target old Hondas...
Passat B6: i'm having problem with my front passenger window. When i flick (not pull hard) the window button to close window, it rolls down instead and then the "One-Touch" Feature stops working.... At least until i turn off and back on the car.
