Is it possible to upgrade my 2010 rx450 mirrors to add automatic folding and blind spot warning? Want to keep the car but would love those features.
View 2 RepliesLately I've noticed the blind spot monitoring light in the mirrors is coming on randomly when I'm driving down the road with no cars around me.
When having my phone hooked via blue tooth and playing music the song will change over the speakers but the screen will still show the prior song I was listening to. Any thoughts?
I'm getting a little concerned that as this car ages all the sophisticated electronics might start failing.

View 8 RepliesWe're looking to buy a 2013 or 2014 RX350 and have a couple questions about equipment. Specifically, is blind spot monitoring standard equipment for either year 2013 or 2014 or is this an option?
If heated seats are listed as an option for an RX does this mean that "cooled" or Ventilated seats are automatically included for years 2013 or 2014? I ask because I've seen "heated" seats listed on Autotrader, but the controllers pictured include heated and cooled. Of the cars, we've looked at they only had both heated/cooled or nothing. We haven't seen heated only.
If the RX does NOT have heated seats, is the leather still perforated for 2013/2014 models or is it solid like previous years?
Converting mirrors to power folding, is it possible. With reasonable cost.
View 12 RepliesI love the power folding mirrors on my 2014 F250 Lariat, really makes a difference in parking lots. Is it possible to make them fold automatically when turning off the vehicle? I know it is a lazy person question but with automatic seats and mirror/peddle position wouldn't automatic folding also be a good idea?
View 4 RepliesIn my 2010 Prius,My wife and I and another friend have noticed a blind spot behind the mirror on the windshield, such that I don't "see" drivers approaching from the right on a "4-way" intersection. I am a cautious driver, yet noticed several years ago that I occasionally started up across an intersection before the car on my right....I didn't SEE THEM.
This is because the mirror is mounted relatively low. I am only 6'1'' but my wife who is 5"10 also noticed this problem. In San Francisco, going down a hill, it is often hard to see a car approaching from the right. I am going to the dealer for something else and will ask that my mirror be remounted.
I have a blind spot sensor option on ny is, but im curious about where it is located beside the mirror icon. I dont have those visible circle sensors on my rear bumper.
View 2 RepliesCan't find the Blind Spot Monitoring system under settings. On page 139 of the Owner's Manual it says, "Make sure not to cancel the systems accidentally". And that's just what I've done. Now how do I get this back? And why would there be a way to "Cancel" a feature that can be turned ON/OFF?
View 1 RepliesReally like the Blind Spot Monitor system in the car. The visual part of with the mirrors works great but the volume part in the car is too low especially with radio on. I'm told by Dealership Service that it cannot be adjusted. I find this hard to believe especially seeing this is an all electronic system. There's got to be a way to have a volume control or menu control on it????

View 2 RepliesI just noticed this morning that both rear parking assist and BSD on my 2015 SFS Limited are not working. Other than the button near the shifter to turn off the audible alarm for parking, I don't recall any other buttons or settings that would turn both systems off. I won't have access to the user manual until later this evening. I did clean off the rear parking sensors but that didn't change anything. Am I missing something?? What's common? Perhaps a fuse?
View 12 RepliesI have a 2013 Avalon V6 Limited.
On 5 or 6 occasions, during the 8 weeks I have owned it, a yellow warning light has appeared, together with a message on the Multifunction Display stating: "Check Blind Spot Monitoring System." While this is displayed, the BSM does not work. Turning the ignition off and then on again resolved the problem immediately each time, with one exception, when I had to do it twice. Pushing the On-Off button for the BSM on the left side of the dash did not resolve the problem.
The left side (driver's mirror) indicates and beeps if a car is in the blind spot however, the right mirror works sometimes and then does not. Also, it will "alert" once in a while and sporadically.
First, where are the sensors? Could I unplug for five minutes and let them reset? Second, this almost sounds like a software glitch?
2014 2.4L Nav/tech package.
Need to enhance the rear view of the blind spot, if I install it on the existing outside rear view mirror..
View 14 RepliesSo I installed Power Folding Mirrors and performed the coding for the door modules. All functions are working, but when I performed the coding for the convince fold and unfold the mirrors fold in when i lock the car. But when i unlock the car by kessy or remote the mirrors will not unfold till i start the car. I've gone back and redid the coding and performed reset factory defaults in the MIB and still nothing.

1) how do you get the mirrors to fold in automatically when the car switches off, like most other vehicles? I can do it manually each time using the knob but I am sure there's another way?
2) I have the keyless entry option. I figured out how to lock the car using the little square button on the handle so I don't need to take the key out of my pocket, but how do you open all four doors without taking the key out of your pocket?
Did the upgrade to the new style mirrors the question I have is.where does the heat wire go to on the new factory switch.its a 8pin switch the pigtale from ford are all green wires so I don't know winch one to tie into and don't want to add another switch Also my 2005 was wired with heat.

The mirrors work in every way except they will not fold in or out. You can hear the motor start but then stops right away. It does not sound like the gear is stripped just that the motor is stuck some home. It happened to both mirrors about the same time.
I was going to take one apart and see if there is a issue. I can't see there being a electrical issue, but maybe, since the driver side starts then stops within 1 second. It's hard to tell about the passenger side since the switch is on the drivers side.
Upgrade the single led light that shines down on the center console?
I would like it to be brighter to make it easier to see the drink holder while driving at night.
I have a new 2015 RX 350 and the side view mirror quit folding when I turn off the car. The auto light is turned on. It will work when I utilize the manual switch and it will open when I use the auto switch, but it won't close when I park the car and shut it off. Is there something I'm doing wrong or some other item I need to set?
