Just recently I my truck has developed a thumping sound that I can feel under my driver side floor board. The weird thing is that it does not do it all the time. But yesterday I noticed it for a more extended amount of time.
View 14 RepliesWe have had 6-8 inches of rain in the last month. the last several days I have notice a lot of water in the passenger side floorboard as well as behind the seat. the headliner around the sunroof is also saturated on that side of the car. After several hours investigating and reading posts on this forum it is safe to say that the drain on that side is clogged. I am a new VW owner and am ignorant as to where the drains are at??? also, how to "rod" or unclog the drain line that runs down a or c pillar?

View 3 RepliesHave a 05 Explorer and every time it rains, water gets in and soaks the front passenger side floor. It only happens after it rains and happens even if it is not driven. I am pretty sure there is a drain line plugged up someplace from the cowl, just not sure where it is. The toe kick seems to stay dry but the floor gets soaked.
View 4 RepliesI have a 2002 dodge caravan that leaks water on the passenger side floor board when the a.c is on. I have had it to three mechanics and each has said they fixed it by cleaning the tube that on the left side of the firewall. one even put a sealer around the tube and firewall saying it was leaking through the factory sealant. but like old faithful the van leaks still what can I do?

Its just at idle, i mean i can give it a little rev, and it doesn't seem to get worse so that eliminates bottom end or head... so???? Ive read some post on here that say... its nothing... just ignore it... but idk.
Like I said its just at idle and it sounds like its coming from the pass floorboard.... I left it running and popped the hood and couldn't hear it.
So my lady friend has this annoying sound coming from here front end, possible along the front axle, on her '07 Passat. Basically, when at low speeds from the passenger floor board you can feel a vibration as if something was rubbing in a rotational fashion. She had the car inspected at a dealer but they found nothing (specifically with the brakes).

I replaced the carrier bearing last week and not sure if correctly done or maybe I didn't get the splines in the exact order they came out in but the vibration is still there if not worse. I was thinking I could order a new rear drive shaft for around 350.00? would it matter how it was installed?

So I get in after I get home and notice a god damn flood on my driver side front floor I made sure the drains in the rain tray were clear the other night when I first got the car. Is this more than likely coming from the sunroof drain? I ran some water down the sunroof drain while it was open and it seemed to come out. The water looked to be coming from where the hood release is as there were a few drips right below it.
View 8 RepliesMy 2000 Passat's interior is flooding, however it is only in the read driver side floor and it is coming from the vent that is down there... I looked under the battery and vacuumed and cleaned it out... I can't seem to remove the black box on the right side under the hood next to the battery, it holds the ECU I believe. nor can I figure out where the flooding is coming from.

View 6 RepliesI have a clunking noise that I can feel directly under the floor board that definitely seems suspension related. It is getting progressively worse, it's not constant but it is magnified when hitting bumps, pulling out of driveways etc. I have jacked the truck up and tried to simulate the issue with no luck.

My 2005 has an intermittent headlight problem. The drivers side headlight goes out intermittently when it rains.. That is, it does not blink on and off just that sometimes it goes off and sometimes it doesn't. As I live in Phoenix Arizona this does not happen often but it has been happening for a year or so. I go looking at all the connections, where ever they are.

View 6 RepliesOur '99 Explorer leaks when it rains. The water drips from under the dash on the driver's side floor. A while back a dealership put all sorts of sealant around the windshield gasket and that seemed to work for a while.
Where are the drains for the door channels, windshield and the air intake where the windshield wipers are connected? I'd like to make sure they are clear.
