Passat (B5) :: Relay Clinking Sound On And Off Every 5 - 6 Seconds

This has been driving me crazy for the last few weeks. I think my car is making a relay sound, but what it's for. Somewhere in the dash, behind the steering wheel and bezel, on the left hand side, there is a relay clicking on and off every 5-6 seconds. I'm thinking it's for my rear wiper, which I believe my wiper motor is busted. However, I don't know for sure.
So, two things here.
1. I want to figure out which relay it is. Looking for electronic schematic for a 03 w8 wagon?
2. How can I determine if my rear wiper motor is blown?
To be honest, I can't even figure out how to turn it on because the on/off switch for the rear wiper is locked in place. I only hear the noise when I'm not cruisen' with my windows down or when the stereo isn't bumping.

Pretty much as it sounds, when i hit a bump up, not a pot hole, it makes a clinking sound like almost a up and down clinking.

My son was driving our 02 Santa fe 2.7 V6 Auto down to plymouth, half way down the engine gave a clinking sound (Rev Dependent). When he was doing 60MPH and pressed accelerator, no power. Stopped at road side couldn't restart. (no warning lights) RAC turned up and thought it was the cam belt and said engine right off. Got car towed home and just started to strip down for cam belt check. Belt seems OK. Timing marks line up.

When I turn my car off there's quite a bit of noise coming from under the car. Basically the sound of the exhaust cooling off but I would say a little excessive. In fact one night I was dropping my son off and left the car running and went to get some stuff out and while it was idling you could hear it. Clink.. clink clink. Same sound when its turned off.
I backed the car up on some ramps yesterday after I had driven it a short distance to see if I can pint point where its coming from and It seems to be in two places. Both where the exhausts are bolted together at a flange. One where the Catalytic converter bolts to the pipe that leads back to the mufflers. And there the 2nd source where just after the Y pipe where it splits off into 2 mufflers.
Is this something that may subside after the car has gotten some miles on it? I'm still well under the first 1k miles.

I have a 2010 Subaru Outback that is making a sound that sounds like glass bottles clinking. It occurs when accelerating around 20mph and/or around 40 mph. Can really hear it when there is a load like going up a hill at these slow spends. Dealership did a lot of flushing and lubricating and new filters etc, but that wasn't it. Also replaced my heat shield (yikes$) but that wasn't it. Then they had me run a tank of 93 octane and they didn't fix, so put in a bottle of engine cleaner and it didn't work either.

I've got an 06 Nissan Frontier and whenever the weather is cold (40s and under) I hear a clinking noise that appears to be coming from the steering column or the dashboard. It usually gets better after I drive it awhile. It doesn't seem to be affecting my truck, but it does have me curious. What this may be.

When you turn the blinker on, all of the signals and the flashers work fine, but after you turn the blinker off the blinker sound clicks sporadically for a few seconds, sometimes a minute after the blinker is off. The arrow light and the blinkers don't actually blink, just the sound from around the center console. Sometimes it will click a few times when you haven't even turned the blinker on. What's going on?

Yesterday I started the car, backed out of the driveway, and as I was starting out in first I heard a screech-like sound for about 3 seconds, then it disappeared. It sounded like a belt or pulley might be slipping. There was no smell and the car ran fine and quiet after that.
I'm beginning to get worried with this car. I have a check engine light on, the suspension is clanking again, and I saw an abs light for about 5 minutes one day a couple of months ago. My wife claims to have heard a grinding sound in second, but I haven't heard it yet. I'm at 6 years, 3 months of ownership, with 85 K on the ODO. It seems like these cars are designed to drive worry free for about 80K. After that, things just start falling apart. I really wanted to make it past 100K, but now I'm not so sure...

My fiancee has a 1995 Toyota Camry that she uses as her work vehicle and yesterday the car started making a clinking noise from the front that I thought was a broken CV but after going to 2 mechanics we were told it was something with the transmission but neither mechanic did trannys so they wouldn't go any farther into it. When put into gear it there was a loud clinking sound that sounded like it was coming from the front driver side wheel and the car wouldn't move. Before spending the money and bringing it to the only transmission specialist in town I figured I would try here first because I have learned specialist usually means more money, especially when your the only specialist in town. Is there any common issues with transmissions that would cause a clinking or metal on metal sound?

I get clinking sound from my left wheel when I steer left or right. A mechanic here says wheel bearing needs to be replaced. I am sure that is the problem but he says for the replacement (Total along with the bearing).

I'm new to diagnosing AC issues in automotive applications but understand how it works and am mechanically capable. Anyway, when i turn the AC on, to max or normal the fan blows with no cold at all. I did notice a clicking relay sound under the truck only when the AC was turned on, it happens every 2-3 seconds. Does my system need recharged, or is it a bad relay? Also, is there a guide on recharging my sig rig?

I recently bought a 09 corolla le and when the car is at 55-70 mph and probably other times too, a clicking sound starts. It sounds like a relay picking up and dropping out. So at this speed if I lift my foot it stops or decreases in frequency. When I press accelerator it increases in frequency.
It sounds like it is coming from passenger kick panel or behind glove box. I looked behind kick panel and did not see any relays. I could've over looked it.
There's a lot going on behind the glove box but didn't really see many if any relays. One thing that got my attention was a white cube with what may be a red led at the top of the dash behind the glove box. I also have not taken the time to drive and investigate.

I recently installed a DDM Tuning HID kit. Since then it's always been making a strange sound when I turn the HIDs on (but the lights are working fine).
The relay base is physically vibrating and making a strange sound, see the video below:

Our V6 just turned 40k and it's developed some interesting sounds. First of all, from time to time at highway speed a whirring/whinning sound has developed. I was driving down the road the other night, no rain, about 60 degrees temp outside, and between 50 and 80 mph this noise seemed constant. I turned off the radio, turned off the climate control and the problem still existed.
It *sounds* like a drive train noise (my old jeep would make a sound when it was in a low gear that is similar). Second, also intermittent, a clicking relay from inside the dash on the drivers side. The frequency and rate are inconsistent and I can't correlate it to anything happening while driving.. just highway driving.

We bought a 2012 Passat from a VW dealer on Thursday, and my wife took it out of town that day. After sitting outside in a hotel parking lot for 2 days, the car would not start. This is Wisconsin, so air temp -10f and windchill -30. When you turn the key, there was a "click", but the engine did not turn over. The battery was not dead (lights, accessories worked), but the tow truck driver did attempt to jump it just in case. He ended up towing it to the shop, and parking it inside. After 2 hours, it started just fine. Needless to say... not the best way to start life with a new car.

Can't seem to figure out what is making this clicking noise. It comes from under the dash, drivers side, under the steering column... Now as for when this happens, anytime! Truck on, idling, driving, truck off, key turned to acc or key to on. Also happens even when key is not in ignition?! What this could be? Brand new battery and connecting rings/wires.
Additional info: 1996, 2.3L about 150k miles on her and she's still going strong

Turn on blinker , turn, blinker shuts off.. But the relay keeps clicking for a 20 seconds. It's kinda annoying... Sounds like it coming from behind the stereo..

Looking at figuring out why my a/c isn't working. Has a full charge but just doesn't come on. Trying to check the relay (384), but my car seems to be missing it (2000 V6 fwd w/ climatronic). It appears I have two slots open, although I think one of the slots is where I took the DRL relay from. I have a slot open on top next to relay 267 or one on the bottom row next to relay 370. Or because of the climatronic, is it a different relay?
