I was in the car wash the other day and got sprayed by a little bit of water that came in from the moon roof. When I went through the blower, I put may hand up and felt the air blowing in. Is there any way to adjust the unit so it closes or maybe replace the felt seal that is on the perimeter. Since I live in AZ, its not a a major deal, but it is annoying none the less. Let me know what you think.
View 1 RepliesAfter three repairs of a leaky sunroof that produces a puddle of water on my floorboard and a wet headliner I was told by the dealership and the toyota consumer complaint department that the leak was due to debris in the overflow tube. Their solution for me "don't park your RAV 4 under trees. They tell me it isn't a warranty issue or a design flaw. How can that not be a flaw? Shouldn't they sell them with a disclaimer stating if you live in the country and don't park in a garage your sunroof just might leak? Wait for it..............don't drive your car outside if it is going to rain!!!!

2). Does it tell you the Moon Roof is open in case it might rain or?

View 24 RepliesSo I go to this fancy laser carwash and notice the back of my head getting wet. Seems the back of the moon roof is letting in water when the high pressure jet passes over, it's not a lot but, this never happened to my other vehicles at the same wash.
I have noticed when the roof opens, it compresses further prior to sliding open. I wonder if it's somehow out of adjustment? I am not getting an "Open Moon Roof" notice on the dash.
This has to be one of the most shocking events of my life. Driving at freeway speed, I heard a boom. I stopped & I looked all around, to find busted moon roof, coming apart near the gasket & a hole (irregular shape) near the middle.
View 14 RepliesI recently purchased a brand new 2016 Legacy, and the moon roof leaks every time it rains. Water drips in at the back edge of the moon roof into a plastic tray that is supposedly part of the drainage system. I have had the moon roof replaced and the same issue still occurs. The dealership now says that the moon roof and drainage system are working as designed. I have a hard time believing that Subaru designed the moon roof to leak. However, the service manager at the dealership did show me another 2016 Legacy on the lot that had the same leak. I contacted Subaru regarding this issue and was told that they trust their service department's analysis of this issue.

View 12 RepliesAbout a quarter inch before it gets all the way closed it reverses and opens back up. I can stop it with the switch anywhere in between while it is closing, but not while it is opening.
It is acting like the bounce-back feature (as described in the manual) is activating, but the bounce-back override feature (pull and hold the SLIDE switch within two seconds of a bounce-back event) does nothing.
There are no signs of restriction, as it opens and closes very smooth and quiet, but it did make a loud pop sound the last time I used it a couple month ago. I can count on one hand the number of times I've used it.
Having issue with a moon roof rattle in the up position, sounds as if the glass is loose. If I slightly close the rattle stops. Not sure if I want lexus taking apart the moon roof/ head liner to repair. I may just live with it, but would like to get it looked at. 2011 LS 460 sport.
View 8 RepliesIt seems to rain every afternoon here lately, but by the time I get out to my car it's still quite hot. So I roll the windows down a little, and start to pull out of my parking space. However, as soon as the car moves, rain water just rolls right off the roof and comes pouring inside. There is a little lip between the roof and the top of the door line but that doesn't seem to be stopping it...does it have anything to do with the paint being new and still slippery? I've waxed my old mkIII GTI numerous times and never had an issue like this though. It's quite annoying having the entire door card and my left arm soaked every time it rains and I 'forget' not to put the windows down right away

After a heavy rain, sometimes but not always, water will drip from the front driver pillar and more recently from the roof immediately adjacent to the sunglasses holder. This happens usually after a turn or acceleration/ deceleration, i.e. when water trapped in the roof somewhere gets to slosh around. Before asking dealer to look into this (which I imagine will be expensive and not definitely rewarding),
View 4 RepliesI have a 1999 saab convertible with only 60,000 miles on it. Great car but recently starting leaking. water coming in across the front seat, dripping straight down on to seat and my head. Also wet in back seat. Cleaned out the well that runs around top. No apparent tears.
View 4 RepliesIv got a 00' Ex with water coming from the overhead compartment. The wires for the fuel mileage reader were eaten by a dog some time ago and the only electrical that look like are up there will be the controls for the rear A/C and heat. Any culprits for this type of leak? Iv done some searches, read through a few threads and haven't found anything with the same issue as mine. I will pull down the overhead compartment this week if i have time to check it but hopefully the rain stops soon. Ill try and get some pics after work today.
Edit: The water is dripping from that compartment right between where the face of the fuel mileage reader and base of the compartment go together if that makes any sense. But its just enough water to feel up my cup holder to about 1/5 full so not much but im not sure how long its been raining. Also no water is dripping/running down windshield.
I have an '08 Lux wagon with rain sensing wipers and automatic headlights. When I spray the windshield with washer fluid, the wipers don't come on to wipe it away. This occurred today, and the wipers would not activate no matter what position I put the control stalk in. Then, after a few seconds, they came on and cleared the windshield. I have not noticed any other issues with the wipers. What might be going on here?
View 7 RepliesLast year I found out that the roof drainage system can get clogged over time. This result is water in places that you cant imagine. Its raining on the east coast and I see water in the passenger side wheel well, which means that the problem is back.

Basically I put the dry window down and it comes back up covered in small water droplets. That's not a big concern by itself but if it's not just some random part like the weather sealing that stays damp and my doors are holding onto a bunch of water that has me worried.
My lining is starting to come off, and it looks like it was cut short when assembled...
