One thing I'm not liking quite as well with my Passat as my previous car is that in my old car when I turned off the engine it would unlock all the doors. The Passat only unlocks the drivers door. I'd like to have the other doors unlocked as well for when I have the kids with me. Is there any way to set it to do this?

View 1 RepliesPassenger side and trunk work just fine. Drivers side door no longer unlocks with the remote. Passenger side and trunk work just fine. Fresh batteries and all. I forgot how inconvenient it was not having a remote to unlock.
View 12 RepliesI've got a 1997 F-250 that as soon as you put it in gear to go forward, the doors lock as is the norm on these "new" vehicles. My complaint is that when you stop an get out, the drivers side unlocks, BUT the passenger side doesn't. THEN invariably I go around to get something out of the passenger side and its LOCKED. That's when my blood pressure goes into orbit. A trip to my dealer yielded no cigar. He stated that some models could be tricked into unlocking, but not this one.

View 3 RepliesI have a Camry 2011 LE (US) and it is giving me this problem for last few weeks. The doors lock fine with the key fob and the lock button on the doors however only driver side door unlocks when i try to unlock it.
The car does not has any starting problem and it still does not work when the car is started and moving. I have even tried a friend's battery to double check if its a battery issue but it does not seems like its that problem since my car starts just fine.
I have been searching on the internet for the problem and read somewhere it could be a Relay problem and i was able to find two relays in the fuse box. But I just don't know if its legit to try replacing the Relay and if yes which relay control doors.
My 02 F250 is killing batteries. Also, when I try and lock the doors with the door lock switch, the doors lock then the driver side door almost immediately unlocks.
View 6 RepliesI just purchased an '02 Camry. All doors lock with remote and interior door lock buttons. Only driver door unlocks with remote and door lock buttons. I have seen other posts with this issue, but not a clear solution.
View 1 RepliesWhen I hit unlock on the key fob it unlocks the driver door. If I hit it twice, I still only unlocks the driver door. It won't unlock the other three doors. If I manually unlock the doors with their handles and then hit lock on the fob it locks them all.
When I got the car it worked fine. Two clicks of unlock on the fob unlocked all doors. Recently, I did replace the key fob battery.
2001 Sport trac ... Only the driver door unlocks, front passenger and both back doors will not unlock. I have a Fob and both unlock switches will only unlock driver door. All 3 will lock all the doors but only the driver door unlocks

When I turn off the ignition, the drivers door lock unlocks or pushes the arm through the door for up to 30-60 seconds over and over again. I would say like 10 times and it is annoying as hell.
Is the only part in the door that controls this the actuator or is there something else that can be doing this?
Went to get into the car this morning & the my door wouldn't open! The handle will not pull towards me at all. Door can be opened from the inside though. I would like to avoid having to bring it to the dealer today.

View 7 RepliesFrom inside it works fine. I pulled the interior panel and it looks as if the parts aren't close enough together. There is a white plastic barrel(?) attached to the lever for the exterior handle. When the exterior handle is pulled the white barrel moves down. It looks as if it should strike the lever to activate the spring and release the door. Barely grazes it. Can't seem to get this piece to move closer.
View 1 RepliesOn occasion my drivers side door will not unlock, I have a SEL with the key less sensors so as I try to get in the car it unlocks all the rest of the doors but not the drivers, I have to go to the other side and physically use the inside latch and then that door unlocks. I notice this when I run the remote start cycle twice more than anything.

You'll need a t30 torx driver, trim/pry tools and a pair of needle nose pliers. It's really easy and the parts are pretty durable.
As I pull off the panel you can see that something falls out of the bottom. It's one of the t30 torx screws that gets rotated 90 degrees. It simply pops back into the hole.
I had to wrap it up quickly at the end...a bee flew in the shot and I'm allergic. I think you can see the panic in me even though I'm not actually facing the camera.
