View 2 RepliesWhen I pair my smartphone to my GS350, and am listening to the radio (or music off the USB key), I can receive calls (automatically) when somebody calls me. In other words, when listening to radio, if somebody calls my phone, the call interrupts my music and I can respond to the call over the car's speakers/microphone - as expected. Great!
But when I use my phone for navigation (google maps), the spoken directions do not get passed to the car's speakers. What's worse, is that because the phone is trying to send directions over the BT connection, it disables the phone's speakers as well - so the spoken directions are not audible at all.
If I switch my car's media to the BT music (instead of radio/aux/USB), the nav directions come thru' fine. But that means that I am no longer listening to radio/USB in between the spoken directions.
This happens with my Android Nexus 6, and with my friend's iPhone 6.
Just started driving a 2007. I get a loud hum when listening to XM radio on a Delphi Roady XM receiver. Audio out is plugged into the iphone jack. How can the hum/static be fixed?
View 5 RepliesI thought I'd finally move into the 21st century and jump on the mp3/bluetooth streaming wagon. Was always the traditional CD-album guy and after this, I may need to go back.
Problem is, I can't change track with the radio or steering wheel controls. Also, unlike the phone which automatically is available for use after the auto-connection happens via the car's controls, I have to manually launch the player on my phone then push play on it. Once done, music plays from the BT Audio system and when that track is complete, moves on automatically to the next one. The control of pausing, playing, skipping tracks does not work via the car (steering and audio controller) and is ONLY possible from the phone which defeats the purpose of a hands-free driving experience.
I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Note 2, Android v4.3 and I've tried both Google Play Music and the native "Music" player on the device, with no luck. I have the standard Display Audio Controller (no-NAV).
How do I listen to the Rhapsody music app (on my iPhone 6) through Entune Premium on my 2015 Camry?
View 6 RepliesToyota/Lexus have quite thin metal, so doors have vibration when you are listening music and they are very light... so I don't like it. I decided to make extra sound insulation and get rid of vibration of metal on doors.
Materials used for extra sound insulation:
1. Vibrodamping mats - 4sqm. 390 х 250mm sheet
2. Sound absorber material. 2x 1000x600mm 15mm thickness/ 2x 1000x600mm 35mm thickness
3IS owner. My mirror vibrates when I'm listening to bassy music and it's driving me crazy. My first gen IS's mirror didn't vibrate at all so I'm pretty unhappy being a 44k car's mirror vibrates. I took it to the dealership and they just tightened the bolt but it didn't do anything. Then they justified it saying that all the IS's in the lot did this. After the checkup the mirror got worse and vibrates on rough pavement now. I was just wondering if your guys' mirrors vibrate when listening to music?

View 5 RepliesI have a 2007 fully loaded generation 2 Prius. From time to time over the past four years I have had occasion to see it in the car and listen to the radio for approximately 20 or 30 min. Up to the end of last year this has not been a problem. Unfortunately three or four times this year listening to the radio for approximately 20 min has caused the 12 old battery to fully discharge. Leaving it impossible to start the car. Then having to get jumper cables to start my prius. It seems ridiculous that the battery should fully discharge after this short period of listening to the radio. In standard cars you can listen to the radio for at least 3 to 4 hours easily. Why should the 12 old battery in the Prius be any different to the battery that is in standard cars?
View 17 RepliesI have a 2009 Hyundai Elantra. I've been having an issue where my radio turns off and on intermittently. To clarify, it will not turn itself on if the button was off. However, if I'm listening to the radio it can turn itself off and back on again multiple times. This happens on AM/FM/AM and Auxiliary. I'm assuming it happens with CD, but haven't listened to that lately.
Sometimes it happens in rapid succession, other times it's off for five minutes or more and comes back on. Other times it stays off. Sometimes it behaves as it should. It doesn't seem to matter if the car is warmed up or not. Is this merely a wonky fuse or something more sinister?
I'm on my 4th passat. Have an 08 Komfort. This by far is my most favorite of the 4 passats I've owned. This is the first VW I have had with satellite radio. I noticed not long after I got it that I could hear a high pitched beep that lasted maybe 3 or 4 seconds while I was listening to the satellite radio. It seemed to just happen at random times. I took it on a 500 mile trip a few weeks ago and I just figured out exactly when this happens............it happens when I hit the brakes while I am listening to sirius only. It doesn't happen while listening to FM or AM (I didn't try a CD). It doesn't do it every time, but at least 50% of the time. It almost always seems to happen if I have the cruise control on and I hit the brakes to disable it. I'm going to mention it to the dealer when I take it in for service.
View 1 RepliesMy wife usually has her iPhone with Bluetooth turned on. If I am driving and she gets a call, the radio is muted while she is talking on the phone. Even if she switches the audio source to iPhone and not the speaker, it takes away my music! I guess there is no way around this?
View 3 RepliesMy iPhone 6 with iOS 8.0.2 was not able to play music via Bluetooth in my 2014 Camry. After installing iOS 8.1 today, I can play music and make calls via Bluetooth. This issue was also present in my wife's 2013 Accord.

Experienced low volume on car while streaming music thru Bluetooth via your smart phone. I usually like to listen to my music at a moderate loud setting, volume cranked up between 35-40 depending on the type of music. Apparently even at volume set between 35-40 it still sound very low, but suddenly volume goes up when I received a txt message or email on my phone. I've tried messing with all the settings on the car and my phone. Even restore default settings in my car and phone. Problem still there.
I have a 2014.5 Camry SE but I'm having a few issues that I'd like to address.
My issue is, when I hook up the phone to the car's bluetooth, the car does not let me switch songs or pause/play from the car's audio system, the only thing I can do from the steering wheel or audio interface is fast forward or rewind the song but not skip the track or pause.
My second issue so far is that I can't seem to find how to set the car to turn on the map lights when the doors open. I checked the manual and it tells me that there's a switch to flip, like the dome lights in the back, right next to the map lights but there is no switch and therefore no visible way to change this. I've gone through the settings of the vehicle and I've gone to the light settings but there is nothing in the settings about it.
I have a 2011 Prius III without Nav. It has bluetooth pairing, and pairs with the Galaxy Nexus phone (android) to make and receive calls just fine. However, there seems to be no way to play music through the phone? (I currently have an audio cable which I plug into my phone. But for various reasons, this is far from an ideal solution for me.)
I have contacted the Toyota dealership where I bought the Prius and they seem to think this does not work. However, can this really be the case?
(1) Is there something I'm missing in order to play music through bluetooth on my phone?
(2) If there isn't, what are my after-market options for doing so? (I don't need navigation or anything else.)
car: GOLF TDI '10 with premium radio unit *(but not the one with navigation or anything). I had my phone plugged in to charge up, and got a call, so my bluetooth kicked in and i started the conversation, but during my conversation i disconnected the phone from the charger, and all of a sudden music starts playing through my speakers all while i'm having a conversation. First i thought it was the other person's music on the background or something, but it was me, i had to stop the music on my iphone. After conversation ended, music kicked back in automatically from my iphone again.
View 4 RepliesIve got an iphone 3g and a Prius with the Sat Nav, i saw a clip on you tube about a year ago with some guy playing music from his iphone via Bluetooth. Ive tried to do this and it doesn't, the phone is BT synced with the car for the handsfree phone but in the audio tab one called "BT" is grayed out im assuming thats the one i need its next to the "Aux" tab. I don't know if they guy was using some third party software or something

View 4 RepliesI currently drive a 2006 BMW 325i, so the tech is not impressive compared to modern cars. I have to plug in the AUX to listen to Google Music, the Bluetooth only works for phone. I'm not familiar with Android Auto and it's not included in the Prius, so I guess that doesn't matter. Can I stream Google Music via the Bluetooth in the 2016? It might be a silly question, but I am a little car ignorant.
