I recently bought a 2014 prius and im trying to get headlights to match the stock fog lights. The fog lights look like there HID or LED and the headlights are plain. What HID setup will match the fogs.
View 9 RepliesPurchased a 2014 is350 f Sport and noticed the led daytime running lights don't match. One side is warmer and one side is cooler in color, could this be a issue with the whole headlight or a fuse? The license plate light too is yellow color on the same side.
View 12 RepliesI bought a used 2006 F150 Lariat 4x4 (5.4L) and discovered that the oil filter and filter housing did not match stock. All web searches return the fram filter ph2 but the truck had the equivalent of ph10575. It was the right filter for the housing so it's not a case of someone putting the wrong filter on the truck. The ph10575 filter is for model years 2010 - 2013. Should I start investigating whether the engine had been replaced or is this normal?
View 6 RepliesLooking for aftermarket headers for a 2011 f250 6.2l gas job. I have the famous leak and I want to put something in that isn't going to warp. I was told shorty headers typically match up with the stock exhaust. Eventually going to put in a cat back also so true shorty headers would be sick.
View 14 RepliesAfter 1 1/2 weeks I finally took the new Elantra out in the night time for a quick look see to check out the headlights. Immediately I noticed that the stock headlights have a definite cutoff down the road in front of you. That's kinda cool and Ok, BUT, in driving only 35mph, I felt like I was already overdriving the headlights. I'm thinking about tweaking the lights up a bit and counting the turns of the screw if that's still the way it aims. Have you noticed your headlights seemingly aimed a little low? Seems like and extra 50 feet would go a long way, but I don't want to aim them in other's eyes either.

What would be a close color match to my LED parking light which looks sort of bluish? The new parking light LEDs are 6000K color temperature.

View 1 RepliesI was driving to work yesterday and my stock radio completely shut off. It will not come back on. The local dealer was very supportive today, however. After a few hours of investigative work & a few calls to Toyota corp. They have determined that it was a bad component in the radio. They are rush ordering me a new one.
View 7 RepliesJust got a (second) 2012 RX350. 13,000 miles. The Distance to Empty is confusing me. Doesn't come close to matching the tank size times either the mpg since last fill-up, or the overall average mpg. Overall mpg is 17.x. mpg since last fill-up varies from 17-21. But when I fill the tank, the DTE says maybe 260. With a 20gal tank the DTE after a fill-up should be in the 340-350 range.
This isn't happening on our other 2012 RX350 with about the same number of miles.
The needle gas gauge appears to be right, based on where the needle is before a fill-up and the number of gallons purchased.
Wondering if there is a way to program the headlights and running lights so they DO NOT come on when I open the doors?? And to turn OFF when the switch is off??
2014 super duty lariat
I have a 2013 elantra limited with the tech package. Today I discovered that my parking lights or headlamps stay on after the car is turned off and the vehicle is armed. The interior blue lighting ( gear selection, push start ignition button, a/c selections, Eco button etc. ) stays on as well. I checked the fuses, but couldn't find anything that pertains to the parking lamps.
I usually run my lights in the drl or headlights position as I lost the auto feature when I installed my H.I.D's. And they usually shut off after a good 15 seconds.
I installed a powered compact subwoofer today and initially wired it to the same battery terminal as the H.I.D.'s but now have switched to another terminal.
My limited has lost it's low beams when the switch is set to head lights but not when set to marker lamps. They still shine at a reduced output then. I've read this may be an issue with the BCM?
View 1 RepliesJust got my PiP about two weeks ago. Just had to fill up for the first time. I was going to try and manually calculate MPG on the ICE and was looking at my Odometer and added up the HV and EV miles and they don't match.
Is this normal? Is my MPG the HV miles divided by my gallons of gas I just filled up?
I had a new windshield installed and the first time it rained, my auto unlock,the tire pressure monitor and the auto headlights stopped working. The dealer said that the fuse box got wet. I have since fixed the leak but can't find a fuse or reset any where.

View 19 RepliesI just bought a new Prius V 5 for the wife yesterday and I have a few questions on the whole lighting system.I set here lights today to AUTO with the Fog/Driving Lights to the ON position. We the car was started and she drove off, the Day Time running lights were not on. Will the DRL not work with the FOG lights on? Am I missing something?
