Prius C :: Can Radio Screen Show Text For Track Playing?

I have the C2 with the standard CD player/radio/Bluetooth streaming, and I'm curious about the display of track information. When I plug my iPod in via USB, the radio screen is able to display track information, as expected.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and have been able to stream from Spotify over bluetooth, but it will not display the track information. Is there a way to have the radio screen show text for the track currently playing in Spotify?
If not, are there any streaming Android apps that can display track information?

Both the wife and I have the iPhone. Series 5. Both paired ez to the Lexus. I wanted to check out how messaging worked..so I message her while on her way to work. She said the music quit playing but didn't notice anything on the screen. Is there a setting I have to change/activate to have the message show on screen?

iPhone 6s or 6s Plus and get text messages to show on the big screen? I was fine when I had an Android but work switched me to an iPhone and now it doesn't work. I have show notifications enabled.

I have 2000 miles on a 2014 Prius v. When I try to use either Apple shuffle or iPod I get a hiss noise on top of what ever track is playing. I have tried various cables to make the connection between the audio system and the apple products.
My dealer gave me a free hour but could not re create the noise and sent me away with a comment blaming my devices. The problem recurs but now the dealer says I must pay $100/ per hour for diagnosis. No reason to trust the dealer diagnosis technique. Toyota says I m free to try another dealer and says I must use genuine Apple cables as "specified by my dealer".
Apple does not make a coaxial connector cable for the purpose and relies on Belkin. My local authorized apple dealer does not sell the Belkin cable and favors a different cable instead. I am certain the cable is not the issue.

My radio just quit playing sound. The fuses are good, the monitor works, the nav works, the radio display works. But I ain't got no sound.

I have a 2012 PIP (assume same technology as non-PIP Gen 3s?). I paired my Galaxy S3 phone with the PIP and when my phone receives a text message, I get the prompt on the Prius' screen to read the text message to me. I then paired my wife's iPhone4 to the car, but when she gets a text, there's no prompt on the Prius' screen to read the text. Where should I start troubleshooting this?

I had an android phone prior and everything worked great. Got calls, texts, and music streaming all working all the time.
Then I swapped over to an iPhone 6 and I can no longer see incoming text messages. I'll hear the alert through my car speakers but nothing comes up on the navi screen. I Googled and people said you have to unsync it, then resync it a few times to get it to work. But I haven't been successful.

I have a 2010 Prius (model III) that has begun doing this thing (just one month after the 3-year warranty expired) where the radio shows garbled stuff when the Prius starts up. It also starts automatically ejecting the CD. Pressing the buttons doesn't work. To fix the problem, you need to restart the Prius.

So I'm doing a 24hour test drive on a 2014 Prius Two that may be replacing my 2007 Prius Touring (aka Package 5) that has a failing hybrid battery and so far I'm happy. I miss having a backup camera and premium audio but at $17000 I don't want to pay any more. Right now I just have a simple question... how do I show the energy monitor on the dash (top screen)? I even downloaded the manual but when I press the Display button on the steering wheel the only thing I can get to is "SETTINGS 3.11.16". I went into settings but didn't find anything that stood out... so I'm lost already...

I have a 2013 Prius Wagon. Have noticed that I can go into the General setting and should be able to change from kilometers to miles. Go through all the steps, selecting miles as the new option, and then nothing happens. There is no screen to save settings, so nothing happens.
On the other hand why would those smart apples designing this system just not link to whole process to the button on the dash that changes the speedometer function. Just like it did in my 2005 Malibu!!!

I can change my nav system radio for just a radio? I am not smart enough to make the nav work and the light from the backup camera wipes out my night vision.

I just bought a 2011 prius four with solar and navigation. Used the navigation yesterday, but my music wouldn't play while it was navigating. Is there any way to change the settings so that the music keeps playing and the navigation interrupts when it needs to give directions?

I just bought a 2014 Prius Three on Monday.
Yesterday, I accidentally hit the Voice Command button. It went to the screen and I got out of it. However then I couldn't hear any sound. The radio was clearly playing but no sound. When I pressed source it just showed a symbol in top right corner. I guess I should have thought to just turn the car off and restart because when I got home and did that, it worked fine.
My main question is about about the iphone 5, bluetooth, and Voice Controls.
I have bluetooth and Personal Hotspot enabled (so I do not have it plugged in to usb outlet) on my iphone enabled but it appears that I cant say "Play (Artist)" and have it play that from my iphone. It says something about an unsupported media device.
When I push the button on my Iphone and tell it to play a song, it does play a song but not the song I requested. It also shows on the car display that it is calling myself.
Voice commands for calling seem to work but I can't figure out if it is not possible to play songs using voice commands with an iphone or what the issue is.

I just bought a 2010 LX and tonight I discovered that I may be able to play a digit copy DVD. So, the kids jumped in the car and inserted one of their movies(not Blu Ray) and we can only hear it. All we see in the video box is a blue screen.

I have a new 2015 Es 350 (Great car!!). I have paired an iPhone 5s to the Nav system but have not been able to receive e-mails or Text messages on my screen. I switched from 2013 rx to 2015. the problem with the 2015 is the text msgs are showing up hours later on rx screen?I'm using same galaxy s4 i used with 2013 with no problems.

I have the nav radio with CD changer. Today I took a phone call and switched off the power to the whole nav radio to take the call. I sure wish there were a pause button for the CD player, but that's for another post. Anyway, I was enjoying the song I was listening to and it had just started so rather than just turn it down, I turned the radio off figuring that was the only way to get the CD to stop playing. When I turned the nav radio on again, it was mid-way through the next song. I tried it again, this time using the scientific method of singing along with where the song would be if the radio were still on. Sure enough, the CD player keeps playing even if you switch off your radio so when I turned it back on, I was only seconds off of where I expect the song to be based on my "by myself in my car" singing. If you switch to radio (FM/AM) and I'm sure any other input, the CD does stop playing.
