I plug it into the outlet the connect to the car. The charge indicator lights up but 15 seconds later you can hear the charger click off. The light on the charger stays amber and not red. I've reset the charging unit and it is happening both at the outlets at work and at home.
View 7 RepliesI installed my OGS shifter yesterday and noticed that when I plug in the car the OGS shifter stays on while the car is charging. Once charging is complete it will turn off.

View 11 RepliesI have a 2009 with 34,000 miles. About 3 times in the last month or so, the amber electronic braking warning light has come on, then turned off by itself a couple of days later. After the second time, I brought it to the dealer, but they said that no codes were set off and they couldn't find any problem.
View 4 RepliesI ran about 2 miles on EV then switched to HV 1/2 mile before getting on the freeway. After about 3miles red temp light came on Outside air temp was about 65. I was on a 2 mile long single lane transition so I was unable to get off the freeway. I slowed down to about 60mph from 70mph the light went off. The light was on for about 2min.
I got off the freeway and opened the hood. The coolant had over flowed puking coolant all over my clean engine. I was able to run EV to dealer to check. My guess was a stuck thermostat! Dealer just called me and after calling manufacture to discuss the the error codes and my symptoms, there best guess was a stuck thermostat.
I have a 2008 prius that right after purchasing I found to have the condensation in the headlight problem, the dealer advised to replace the whole headlight assembly to avoid damage to the generator so I did. I did not have it done at the dealer due to the cost but at a prius certified mechanic at another location. Needless to say when he installed the headlight something was not done right and as a result the amber parking light is not coming on when the rest of the headlights are turned on.
I didn't notice this for a while and then when I did I neglected to get it fixed while under warranty for the labor. The strange thing is the light flashes when I lock and unlock my door, just won't come on with the other headlights. I tried replacing the bulb when I replaced my HID today but still the same result.
My son got this for his '05 Prius, and I plugged it into my PiP for awhile. I am learning to brake more slowly and accelerate more gradually, but the mileage is obviously way off. That seems to be about all it's good for, unless a check engine light comes on.

View 19 RepliesI'm still enjoying my 2012 pip but I came across a couple of issues.
The daytime running lights (DRL) were not working so I took it to Toyota to check it out. I also contacted the previous owner who thought that they working. Toyota performed their 101 multi point inspection and discovered that the DRL was disabled at one point and they had to enabled it from the ecu. I found that interesting but they are now working and they look great.

My nephew borrowed the car for an hours and after that probably he went on a highway the hybrid indicator light is red and also the power light is red.
I can't figure out what my HV range is once the gas light starts flashing. The first time it came on, I filled up pretty quickly but the car only took 8 gallons. I know the tank holds 10.6. There has to be a range meter somewhere that I'm missing so I'm not running straight to the gas station as soon as the light starts flashing.

My passenger (wife) finds the light obnoxious to have to look at, and I can't blame her. The customization section of the user manual doesn't seem to address this

It's not referenced in the manuals, but I've noticed that whenever I'm in the car, it's on the entire time unless I switch my lights to DRL Off mode. When I get out and lock the doors, I think it goes off... but I'm also thinking it may have been the cause of my recent 12V battery drain.
View 13 RepliesAfter my 25k service it seems the timer scheduler when the square button is pressed/held flashes at 7am. When i press the H button the hour advances to 12am then closes. I want to start the charge at 12am and finish at 5AM. The timer windows closes when i move the finish hour to 12am and then my regular clock hour changes. It used to be when i pressed/held the timer button the start time would show at 12 am and after setting it would go to the finish hour.

I thought it was my remote battery so I Changed the battery and still nothing works. I get the Orange caution light on the dash and a clicking sound from the engine area . No lights come on. Nothing.
