Ok so first the battery light came on then all the other lights on the dash came on, ended up dying and we replaced the battery but the abs, esc break light and battery light still are on the dashboard. Also I can use the shift release to drive the car but other then that it is stuck in park. I was reading that the car has a atm but I don't know where its located.
View 7 RepliesThe battery light is on on the dash. I checked both batteries with the ground wire removed, and they show 12.85 and 12.84 volts, they are clean and not in need of water. The battery light will go out after around 15 minutes on the highway, but not around town, and if I shut off the truck in town, the next start is at a very reduced amperage. Alternator packing it in?

I'm still driving about 40mph to my destination. GPS goes dark. Tech needle goes to zero, then speedometer goes to zero. I'm still driving approximately 30 mph. Lost headlights. It's dusk. Lost all lights in dash. Slowly moving now and looking for a place to park. Now losing engine power. Coasting to curb. Lose all power and mobility. Call tow. Thought I could smell a slight electrical burn from under hood.

View 14 RepliesThis has happened twice now and on the second time I hadn't started the engine and noticed that the lights had not gone out. I switched off and on again and the lights went out.
Only thing in common is the outside temperature was around 4dgs City.
Jumped in this morning, started the engine,* got out to clear the windows of dew, on getting back in I noticed the following lights on the dashboard,
- Traction control light on -stable
- Abs light on -stable
- Glowplug light - flashing
I immediately turned off the engine, waited a couple of seconds, restarted the engine and all the lights extinguished as they should. I then went on my merry way without further incident. Should I be concerned and get it checked or see if it happens again? It has now....
I'm having starter issues with my santa fe. After changing the battery and doing some trouble-shooting I narrowed my problem down to one of the relays in the engine compartment.
Almost every morning when I go to start my car the dash lights are dead and the engine wont turn over. I smack a bit on the relays it will start up and until today keep running for the rest of the day.
Tonight it stalled on me in traffic and I got to experience the enjoyment of smacking my relays on the highway. I am thinking either moisture or a faulty relay with intermittent signals might be the culprit.
A little over a week ago I had my battery go low and set off several brake warning lights on the dashboard. I have a very trusted mechanic and had him look it over. There were no issues whatsoever with the braking system and the lights simply occurred due to a drop in battery voltage. My question would be how to clear the lights. I have seen various people use something called a techstream and was wondering if this would be viable in my situation. If so what is the most updated version of the tech stream as well as a possible tutorial. Below for reference is a picture of the lights that were set off on the dashboard(circled). The dash isn't mine just one that I found but the four lights in question are the same.
View 7 RepliesRan obd I I tool on my fiance's 2011 Camry. Threw codes C0365, C1330, and C1445. cleared the codes and the only one that is recurring is the C1330. ABS and traction control lights are illuminated on the dash.

Detail of issue: It started 2 months ago before i left the country i took my car in to get the dreaded valve gasket cover and alternator and after taking the car back i left for Europe for 2 months. I was informed after 2 weeks that my car battery died and had to be jumped.
When I returned home I notice the following issues
1) Alternator Whine in my Sound System
2) Low frequency noise synchronized with engine rev that was triggering the sub low end making a very distinct wooom.
3) Sudden Power Loss for my secondary AMP. The base would cut on /off.
4) Light flicker in my Dashboard (only the GEAR LED) and the entire climate LCD. flicker also synchronized with engine rev.
5) POWER drop on the air con fans while breaking (the RPM would drop)
6) I saw the headlights where also flickering at the same frequency with the LCD and dash led a very noticeable flicker.
7) my headlights would dim when breaking.
8) My Car would start a bit slower (not as instant as before).
Initially i thought it was the my secondary amp that was causing the issue. I took the car to a great Audio shop and they said the On board Hyundai amp was sending weird signals. They said it was broken and i should have it replaced. I told them to disconnect the AMP from the car and leave it disconnected until i take the car back to Carmax.
I was hoping that was the cause ... it wasn't the lights keep flickering (at a far lower intensity probably due to the lower power consumption overall).
What could cause all of this. Alternator I had the alternator replaced two weeks ago (apparently it was broken). I changed 3 alternators in this car. Valve Gasket, Valve Gasket(they were retarded and didn't listen to what i told them) and broken.
My wife was driving to work this morning in her 08 Santa Fe (2.7) and said she had very little/no response when stepping on the gas.
Check engine, ESC off, and the AWD light (drivetrain light) were all illuminated.
She turned the car off and when she turned it back on, only the CEL remained illuminated - it drove better, but still rough.
AutoZone pulled the codes and we've got P1295, P2106, and P2135.
From what I've seen on this site, it sounds like the TPS - would those codes be consistent with that issue?
Also, since we're just out of warranty, is that something I can fix myself? Looks like a pretty easy part to replace ... but I've heard there's something about have to flash the ECM?
I have a 98 f150 4x4, 4.6L 150k miles, during start up the blinker indicator lights on the dash illuminated and stayed on, when trying the blinkers they did not work, but if I shut the head lights off the blinkers do work and indicators respond normally. This is the same if I turn the fan blower on, blinkers don't work and indicators stay illuminated. Also I have found that the power windows, and 4wd no longer work. Other functions work such as power mirror, radio etc. all fuses under the dash and under the hood are good, I tried switching some of the relays to see if that changed anything but with no success . took the kick panel off and inspected the grounds and all seem tight. It looks like the main battery ground is just to the body and there is one solid ground from the frame to the body under the cab. all seem tight and don't appear to be corroded. Truck starts and runs great.

The other night my ESC light came on for a while. New battery, alternator and serpentine belt installed a few months ago.
View 25 RepliesGoing down the highway the other day my '07 SE started to flash the battery and seat belt "dummy lights" in the instrument cluster. There was no discernible change in power, other lighting, or anything else that I can tell. The lights didn't seem to flash in any particular pattern either....
What this might be?.....other than gremlins?
Drove to work had no issues, went to leave & noticed that the dash lights didn't light as normal when I turned the key over, then tried to start but it just cranked, checked the fuses all good under the dash & hood.

View 5 RepliesHad the dealer do my brakes and oil change today (sat). Since I couldn't get back before mid day closing, I had them lock the keys inside. When I picked it up, I noticed the CRUISE light was illuminated on the dash, however, it won't go off when you press the ON/OFF button on the steering wheel, and further, it isn't functioning. You cannot set a speed, etc, the lights around the speedo don't go on, etc. They mentioned that they left the key in the on position, and drained the battery, and needed to recharge it. Wondering (i) why this happened? Thought the T2 would disconnect the power if it detected a drain, and (ii) why recharging bat might have caused this.

Yesterday out of nowhere the red Airbag light on the dash illuminated when I started the car. This has never happened before. I tried turning the car off and on, but it just came back.
The light comes on normally, then goes out. It then comes right back on at the same time the "passenger airbag off" light illuminates.
I made a quick check of the connections under the passenger seat and none seemed loose. I'm planning on taking a closer look and disconnecting/reconnecting the terminals to see if anything is obviously wrong.
I'm pretty mad that my Sonata has another problem. It only has 80k miles. I've owned it just over one year and I've had the following problems:
-fuel overflowing. I haven't been able to sort this one out yet.
-OCV failure. I replaced it myself.
-Lots of ABS and brake warning lights. Dealer eventually told me I needed a new ABS pump for nearly $2000.
-Now this airbag problem.
I'm definitely very dissatisfied with the reliability of this car. If I had it to do over again, I definitely would have spent a little more to get another brand. This has been the most unreliable car I've owned in my 13 years of driving.
Our winter tires on the 2010 prius have the pressure sensors insalled in the wheels. Yet, ever since they were installed, the tire pressure light has been on on the dash. I have checked the tire pressures numerous times, and they are okay. In fact I now have the tires slightly over inflated instead of at spec, and it's still on. Do the sensors go bad in the wheels? We've had no issues with the system with the summer tires and wheels.
View 19 RepliesThe "Door Ajar" light on my Ex has apparently decided that I would enjoy having the little red light on the dash illuminated. Normally, I'd consider this just a nuisance, but it's convinced the interior and running board lights to play along so that they don't go out until they time out. I'm pretty sure that it's in the rear door somewhere. Where the sensor(s) are for the rear doors and how to test them?
View 14 RepliesBefore i made a post about not working MIL indicator light on dash. The thing is that i spend all the water from the windshield washer and the low fluid level warning indicator light never came on dash. So the 2 issues are related.
Is there a connector or something that i can check for myself?I check the led that operates this two indicators light on dash and it's seem to be working perfect. (I change positions one for other in the same dash).
