Sonata NF (2006-10) :: Seat Belt Causes Airbag Light To Go On
I had posted about it earlier [URL] ... but now the car has been to the dealer and was told it was the passenger side seat belt buckle.

Question is about seat belt reminder/warning light that sits on right side of the radio. Mine is on all the time, it doesn't matter if someone is sitting in passenger seat or not. The only thing it will be different is when you first start the car or if someone is in passenger seat it pulsates 10 or 11 times and then stays on. I tried different seat belt & seat belt buckle, nothing. There is no warning light on my instrumental panel. Everything seems to be fine beside that light. And yes I did search for it here on forums, google, etc, and I'd rather fix this problem then just unplug the light. What could be the problem? Light itself?

I replaced the battery in my 2006 Hyundai Sonata (3.3 V6) 3 weeks ago. 5 days ago the battery light and seat belt lights started flashing. Both lights would flash then go off. This occurred on and off for 2 days (no change in driving condition) then stopped for 2 days. Today the lights are flashing again and right before turning my car off, the check engine light came on. I turned the car off, then re-started and the check engine light remains on. What could be causing this?

I have a Sonata 2008 4 cyl. I started getting Airbag and passenger seat-belt signs blinking. Whenever a passengers seats the seat-belt light does not blink, but airbag warning on my dashboard is still turned on. I went to the dealer and they told me to replace the cushion for the passenger.

When I'm driving without a passenger, the passenger seat belt reminder light illuminates and stays on. Is there some sort of computer or weight sensor in the seat that trips this indicator light? I've noticed that sometimes, if I push down on the seat or move the seat forward or back, the light will go off. For the most part, however, it comes back on and remains on.

I have a bizarre issue, once the car is running about 20 minutes, the seat belt icon on dash and passenger seat belt light (unoccupied) start flashing. Then the flashing become more like a flickering with a noise. At this time all power windows become sticky and operate under the same bop if you will as the seatbelt light. The doors the will not lock and the alarm will not work. Today it took me about 6 minutes just to close one window and i had to lock the car manually. After a few hours with the car being off, everything works fine again, then another 20 minutes of driving the issue reappears.

Has there been a proven methods for turning off the pesky seat belt alarm? I just recently picked up 2015 IS350 and I'm not a big fan of being told what to do, especially my car telling me to put my seatbelt on. My 2011 ISF was supper easy. I have done some digging and all I have come up with is that the dealer has to do it.

Any way to disable the annoying seat belt alarm. I do wear my seat belt but I can't even get out of my driveway before it goes off, also if I drive one block to the store and don't feel like putting it on. I have tried the disabling procedure in the owners manual many times and it does not work. I have also tried other procedures posted on the internet and they didn't work either. If the alarm wasn't for other things like keys left in ignition, etc I would have cut the wires by now.

Over the past 9 months with the Sonata, I haven't really noticed anything that I dislike about the car. The 1 thing I dislike the most, that I can't change, is the "pick-up style parking brake". However, the other thing that I CAN change is.
When driving with the front windows down, the passenger seat belt flaps around and hits the pillar from time to time. It's pretty loud; to the point where it can be startling if you don't know it can happen. I'm trying to figure out a way to remedy, but if someone already has, how so?
Sonata I45 (YF - 2011+) :: Passenger Seat Belt Light Flashing When Driving
I just took possession a few weeks ago,and I love the car. I've only had one passenger, once in the car, and yesterday, I noticed that the passenger seat belt light is continually flashing when I'm driving. If I'm in park, it's off, but when in gear, that little red light flashes non stop.
Is this normal when there isn't a passenger? I don't remember this happening before, and, I'm sure I would have noticed that annoying little beacon.
If it's wrong, how do I fix it? If it's supposed to be there ... how to I fix it?

No Beeping sound for passenger seat belt, just flashing sign on the dashboard. Just want to see if this is normal or not? ( I would assume it should not be).

I just bought my 06 Hyundai accent last night. Just today I noticed my seat belt will chime after I remove the belt, even if the car is in park. It's not a big deal but it was enough to make me look through the owners manual to see if it could be disabled. Well, I didn't find my answer so I thought maybe someone here has already done it. Anyways, I've put MAYBE 250 miles on my '08 GS460, and Ive noticed what appear to be wear marks from my jeans (just regular Diesel jeans). I didn't have this issue in my SC400, my girlfriend's Cayenne, or any of the other cars I drive on a regular basis. Is this common for these cars? Could the leather just be low quality? 6 months ago After replacing both the battery and the alternator..The seat belt light and battery light both began flashing and then going off ..with no loss of power.. It has been coming on a lot more lately,with no loss of power...I do have a mass air flow code coming up with no issues as far as the car goes..no issues driving. So with a new alternator and battery put in what can be the issue?
