Just bought an 08 touareg and want to enable windows down with the key fob. I checked the FAQs but didn't notice it there. Where is it in vag-com? I shut off drls already but couldn't find the windows function.
View 4 RepliesI have a 2008 Camry hybrid. It comes with the auto Headlight function where the car will automatic turn the headlight on/off at night and day time. But, but for some reason it doesn't work when I first got the car (pre-owned). I check all the wires/fuse, everything is good, but it just not working. The headlight and on/off switch itself works good. I just wonder if it has an option you can disable/enable it in the console or something else that I should look for?

Read somewhere on this forum that the truck has remote start and just needs to be enabled. Is this true? I have installed remote start a couple times on older vehicles and it was a major pain. I can't believe it is already on my truck, what do I need?
View 7 RepliesOK, all the cars/SUV's I have owned in the last 4 years had a great feature. If you held down the unlock button on the keyfob for a few seconds you could roll down the windows and open the sunroof.
A GREAT feature to let the heat out while you're approaching the car on a hot day or to just let fresh air on other days. Can it be done?
I cannot get the key to lower or raise the windows, or close the sun roof. The manual says I can do both. I can do it in my Passat. Is this a Vag-Com thing my dealer can fix?

Under the steering wheel there are 2 small switches, left and right. When I press the one on the left the light on the steering wheel goes on and off. What the one on the right do???
View 4 RepliesI garage, but on two occasions, once left out overnight, other at the airport for a week, the side windows were frozen shut. After the Treg warmed up, they would open, but seemed to be frozen at the bottom weatherstrip. Are others having this problem? I love this truck !
View 4 RepliesWhen you use the key to lock the car door, you should be able to hold the key in the lock position on the driver's door and the car will close the windows and sunroof, right?

I have a customer with a 2013 Touareg. He wants to be able to open the windows with the FOB as he approaches the vehicle. I was able to use VAG-COM to allow the driver's window open/close, but not the remaining windows.
View 3 RepliesI thought my t-reg had this feature. Where you put key in the drivers door and it will roll up or down the windows in the order of which they were last used.
Same thing with sunroof. I vaguely remember using this... but it's not working.
Noticed hissing sound coming from the rear windows when the AC is on... It's very annoying so I always crank up the volume of the music. Funny thing is when you open one of the rear windows slightly and the sound is gone. I thought it was from the roof rack but it's not.......coz the sound is there when the car isn't moving too.....as long as the AC is on.....and the rear windows are closed tight.....

View 2 RepliesI get the worst wind buffeting (loud whooshing and terrible pressure) when driving with the sunroof open with all the windows completely up. And just yesterday I realized the roof opens up fully with some additional pressure (surprisingly hard pressure) after the lever is turned and I get the most unbelievable eardrum crushing pressure/ noise until I crack a window or two. I'm not kidding, its unbearable at pretty low speeds.
This seems like a serious design flaw (and should have been tested and corrected) not to mention extremely annoying as I can't use the sunroof without opening the windows.
-1 (-20 wind chill) here in South Bend this morning, and the Touareg did not like it. All but the drivers door frozen shut. All power windows frozen shut. Defective tyre warning went off once, and then check tyre pressure has stayed on. Wonder what She would do to me if She was not in a garage. The heated seats worked great, how I would have loved to have the heated steering wheel this morning.
This weather is heading East, hope you all on the coast are ready.
I don't have any kids and I just noticed my V8 had child safety windows (will not roll all the way down)... is there a way to make my rear windows roll all the way down? second, any finding on the squeaking noises and rattling noises in the T-reg?
