Why is the rug on the passenger side of my v10 egg wet. It would appear that it happens after heavy rain....blocked plug somewhere. Have also been using air conditioning alot.... Also could getting egg stuck deep in mud in the spring have anything to do with this...blocked plug?

View 6 RepliesSo I just bought a used 2012 Honday Odyssey and I noticed that anytime I take it out for a drive and return home, the front passenger side floor carpet is slightly damp. So is the carpet on the floor of the luggage compartment at the back of the vehicle. I've also noticed that the drivers side carpet smells a bit like gas when this happens.
View 6 RepliesLeaks in passenger side floor during a big day of rain? my floor mat was SOAKED, and i think i its coming from some area going up on the right side of the glove compartment, doesn't look like its the door, but perhaps the corner outside where the windshield meets the hood? I also believe I may have leaky seals on my left rear window.
View 4 RepliesWhenever it rains a substantial amount, like all day I go out to my 92 Ranger and get in and notice the passenger side rubber floor mat has a puddle of water on it. I look under the floor mat and only the center of the carpet there is wet. I see it's getting the edge of that side of the headliner wet and ruining the new headliner had redone. I didn't realize there was water leaking until I got my headliner redone and put back in. It very well could have been leaking causing the headliner cloth to all tear. It's wet along the top passenger side where the grab handle is and the plastic trim. I thought it was the rain gutter on top of the roof so I put in some black silicone and some of it stopped but not all.
So I thought it was still leaking at the front corner so I put more silicone in. Don't know yet if that was what it was for sure but I'll find out tomorrow because it's raining pretty good right now. But just in case where else could it be getting this much water in. If you go through a carwash, or hose it down for awhile, or even drive while it's raining bad it won't get water inside. I'm not convinced it's the rain channel 100% because on the driver's side the putty filling the rain channel on the roof looks worse than the passenger side and there's no water coming in on the driver's side. There is no water coming in the back or on the back carpet or headliner.
I don't see any evidence around the windshield. I can't understand why only the middle of the passenger side carpet is soaked and not the top or under the seat, unless it's just soaking through the rubber floor mat and not drying out. It's getting so frustrating because I can't visibly find any evidence, I have to wait until it rains and then I can't see why it happens. It's ruining my carpet and my new headliner. I want to replace the carpet but want the leak stopped first. Where are common trouble areas on these 92 Rangers for water leakage?

View 2 RepliesJust found out the passenger side is completely soak. I brought it in to a mechanic and he figure it was a sunroof clog. The ac water is coming out, but he poured like 2 bottles of water on the sunroof and only like a couple of drops came out. Should I be worried about getting wet under the passenger seat?

When there is heavy rain, I end up with extremely damp carpets in the driver's side. There is also water which looks as though it has leaked from running do the driver's side of the windscreen.
I have a strong suspicion that there is a leak in the windscreen, down the driver's side or at the bottom, but are there any other locations or suggestions that could be causing the leak ?
Also, if I take it in, is it possible just to replace the seal round the windscreen, or will the whole windscreen need to be replaced ?
There has been on/off heavy rain in northern nj the past week, and i noticed two nights ago that when i am turning it sounds like i have a waterfall in front of the dash. if i am making a right i hear water running towards the left and vice versa. I already searched and found one article pertaining to a "sloshing". the problem: it didnt have a solution.

View 5 RepliesI have a persistent leak that causes the front passenger carpet to get wet after a heavy rain. Truck went to the dealer under warranty and they resealed the third brake light. Not sure if it ever fixed the problem, but I probably didn't check it as often as I should have after the repair. We've had a few good rain storms and the carpet is getting pretty wet. Since the truck is now out of warranty (2011 F150) I made a new gasket for the third brake light. I think it's pretty well sealed, so I'm thinking the leak is coming from somewhere else.

Last week, after some intense rain last week in Greenville, NC, out of the corner of my eye I noticed that there was a puddle of water on the floor of the passenger's side. I looked for a cracked window or maybe a leak from the windshield, but I couldn't see anything; besides, the floor was the only part that was wet (the dashboard, the seat, and the inside of the door were completely dry). Today I took the car in for an oil change to the local Honda dealer and I mentioned the issue to them, and asked whether they could take a look at it. They did and they said they could not find a leak anywhere. Where the water might come from? Is this common? How to prevent it from happening again?
View 7 RepliesIt's from rain, but only getting to the front passenger floor area. And this just started in the last month. Decades ago I had a VW Rabbit that would get serious water, in all 4 quadrants, in rain or a car wash. But I figured that one out, the "gutter" in front of the windshield was jammed up with dead leaves, once those were cleared, no more water coming in.
So, when this Avalon leak appeared, that was the first area I checked. There was a bit of leaves and twigs, which I cleared away, but the worst of it was on the drivers's side and as I mentioned, no problem there.
It seems rain is coming into the passenger floor area. When I have checked the bottom windshield area I have notice that some rubber/plastic line is not inserted all the way but cant be inserted. Accent 2006....

Anyways now I have this condensation....I have the dark cherry red non led.... I have the JL stealthbox installed... Never happened before had the car about a year now?
View 12 RepliesIn my 07 ES350 I had water on the carpet of the drives side all the way to the backseat! I was gone for a coupla days when this happened and with the heat it sure did have a musky odor when I opened the door!
I have looked all around the sunroof and cleaned the edges could not see anything that would leak although under the sunroof at the front there was water in the tray.
Then I looked all around the windshield. Could not see anything that could cause a leak. Lightly hosed off the car today and had water dripping down the driver side pillar and the covering for the pillar was wet.
This car has never had a leak anywhere until now. Gonna have to have the carpet removed and steam cleaned I guess to get rid of the odor, but not until I stop the leak!!!!
I have a Subaru Forester 2006. This year, noticed condensation in driver's side headlight after a heavy rain. Not too long after, the headlight blew. (My headlights have been blowing at a frightening rate, but that might be a different thread for another time.). We changed the light and did our best to dry out the inside of the housing. We also checked for leaks by blowing air into the housing, with no luck at finding anything obvious. We put a little flashing on the inside, thinking there might be a problem with the rubber gasket.
Next rain, same problem. We also noticed in a parking lot another Forester, similar vintage, with condensation in both of its headlights. Is this a known problem...
The A pillar on the driver side started leaking during a heavy rain. The water leak started where there is a seam on the A pillar. My RX stays outside and I would not surprised if a vent tube or hole has clogged up and thus made the water back up instead of draining but that is just a guess.
View 2 RepliesWe had a big rain storm the other night and I didn't drive my car today. So I get in after I get home and notice a god damn flood on my driver side front floor I made sure the drains in the rain tray were clear the other night when I first got the car. Is this more than likely coming from the sunroof drain? I ran some water down the sunroof drain while it was open and it seemed to come out. The water looked to be coming from where the hood release is as there were a few drips right below it.
