Can not seem to get the memory to work.....?
The dealer is suggesting the module is bad and is ordering one to address the problem.
Cannot get the mirrors to respond to the setting as well?
I try to lock the treg with the button on drivers door handle and nothing happens. All other door buttons work fine. Am I in for a new door handle or just another software quirk?
View 12 RepliesA few weeks ago, my door unlocking settings reset to "driver's side" (I have it set to "all") 3-4 times in one week. I remember this being an issue with the 2004 models, but I was surprised to see it happen in my 2006... and then completely disappear.
View 13 RepliesIf you have turn the engine off if there is a way to close the windows and the side mirrors without putting the key in the lock. Under the steering wheel there are 2 small switches, left and right. When I press the one on the left the light on the steering wheel goes on and off. What the one on the right do???

My salesmen told me sport on the highway and automatic the rest of the time.
I only see highway numbers on the map display, not street names. Is this because it is a CD-based nav system and not DVD-based (my DVD nav system on my Mini Cooper S displays all street names)?
Maybe I am missing a setting?
My car has a bad whistle sound from the sidemirrors if I travel at over 40mph, I heard someone else had the same problem and the dealer fixed it but putting something on the mirror.... is there a TSB on this? I'm going to the dealership next week and i would like to see if he can fix it. List of things I have.
- Sometimes when i enter my car and start, my seats don't move back to the previous setting....... I had to hit "1" to get it to move back. it fails 3 out of 10 tries.
- Wind noise from the side mirrors, especially when over 40mph..... whistling sound.
- dash vibration when the weather is cold.... Not sure about this one.
- See if the dealer will turn off my DRL for me.
Key fob press all doors unlock??? Using VAG-COM maybe?
View 3 RepliesThis glitch has been noted on repair orders and supposedly fixed at least three times now, but it's BACK. (So much for my wood knocks and no problems for three months.) Odd thing though, it'll reset to default three times in a row, then I won't have the problem for two weeks. Then, this morning, that annoying click, telling me now that my doors are locked at 5mph and my unlock door setting goes back to DRIVER SIDE ONLY (I prefer ALL as the setting). How to take care of it for good? I've had something having to do with this in my MFI replaced once or twice now.
View 6 RepliesAnyway, I'm starting to get really annoyed because our Touareg keeps losing it's keyless entry comfort settings at random. I always set it to unlock all the doors, flash the blinkers, and not sound the horn, but at random it will set itself to sound the horn and only unlock the driver door. I'm not losing power ever, I can't really see any particular pattern for when it happens. Sometimes it will hold the settings for months, other times not even a day. Really weird... What is causing it to change on it's own? This is a 2004 V8 with NAV if it makes any difference.

View 4 RepliesI have a 2006 touareg 7L 3.0 V6 tdi, and i have 2 problems.
First is I'm sure the heated external mirrors arent heating up, yes i have the switch set to middle for heat but they don't seem to be getting warm like my m3 does. i would check the fuse but i see no fuse for mirror heating! What is the fuse number?
Second problem is a very noisy clicking noise coming from behind the glovebox, i've videod it and heres the noise [URL] .... I've done a bit of searching and think its the blower fan but i want to be 100%...
I believe it is a great feature to automatically adjust the side view mirrors downward when the car is put into reverse. One question, Does the passenger side mirror the only mirror which adjusts downward? My drivers side mirror does not move at all.
View 4 RepliesThe tire pressure monitor comes on when there is only .5 difference in one tire. Then it won't go off.
Also, the driver's side mirror will not program and it has a mind of its own just changing randomly every time I back in.
Bought some power tow mirrows, aftermarket, any special on installing?

I'm replacing tow mirrors on my 2004 F250 with 2008 mirrors. Both are factory Ford mirrors. Need wiring diagram since connectors and wires are different. They both have power mirrors, turn signals, heated mirrors, but are not power retract or fold.
View 1 RepliesThis car had this problem about 4 years ago when my father in law owned it He had the dealer fix it and they replaced the gas pedal assembly i checked that and it is ok if i shut off the car and restart it the pedal works fine or about 15 seconds then back to idle
