I know the Touareg has a problem with the rear seat belt locking and making it impossible to raise the rear seat after it's folded down. In fact, that happened to me and I'm going to have it fixed next week. Now, however, the front passenger side seat belt is stuck about 2/3 of the way out. Can't pull out more and won't retract.
View 1 RepliesI know that this features is handy if you are over 6 ft tall but why do they automatically raise when you open the door even if the passenger measures 4 ft? Is there a way to turn of this feature if, for example you whant better access to the rear window for cleaning?

View 3 RepliesTruck was in shop 10K service on Thursday (4/7) and as soon as I started the truck on Friday I have the Air Bag/Seat Belt Pretension light on showing up in dash. The light is one but no MFI fault reported.
Why indicator light coming on just after service? I did not pick the truck up at the shop on Thursday so I cannot say if it was on immediately after 10K service. Shop asked me to drop the truck off Sunday night. Site Search came up with several items that could cause this malfunction.

I just got my clazzio seat cover yesterday, spent the whole day installing it. I'm up to the last seat (rear passenger side) where i need to remove the seat belt.
I'm having problem removing the seat belt. Tried with several different tools, including variable speed tool, and even tried turning it to the right in case it has different direction to unbolt, but it just wouldn't turn at all.
I called the dealership, but no luck. So i'm now stucked with all but 1 seat being covered. I went to some shops today, most wouldn't touch it because it's liability issue.
I pinpointed a consistent vibration in the rear L & R pillars! Using a rubber mallet on the tires you can hear the recoil springs vibration s and for me, I hear the back center seat retractor recoil spring vibrating! Going address this with the dealership for updated fixes, or I have to fix this myself. I have taken the rear seat apart and welded reinforcement bracket to stabilize the retractor, but the coil spring vibrates.even w the JBL system turn up I can hear the retractor coil spring vibrating distorting the music!

View 1 RepliesI am a new owner of a used Touareg. I want to fold the rear seat and open up the luggage compartment. I can not get the rear seat pads to operate. I pull the red loop and it will lift to about a 45 degree angle but will not raise to allow the backrest to fold into position. What I'm doing wrong?

View 6 RepliesThe large section of the rear seat is torn. Its the part where the two buckles for the seatbelt are located. It was torn by her not knowing how to put the seat down properly. Anyways, we got it fixed (dealer did a terrible job, tried to replace torn leather with vinyl) and now its torn again. I myself went through the right procedure as outlined in the manual and it still ended up ripping.
Anyways, The dealer said it may be a fault in the way the belts were installed. Just trying to see if this is a line of crap or for real.
So I was trying to track down this squeak noise and I removed the drivers side seat belt but now the belt will not retract? It's stuck like this, is there a manual release? Buying another one is not a option right now. And I have to drive the car tomorrow morning.
