Touareg :: Tailgate Locked / Jammed - Cannot Open

2004 Toureg tailgate locked cannot open, checked fuses, used key fob, and inside electric release. Is there a manual release?

Touareg :: Tailgate Won't Open All The Way Up
Well the tailgate of my Touareg doesn't open all the way up. I took my car to College Park VW and they did not even fix the tailgate, saying that its originally like that... So they brought out another Touareg and opened the tailgate...it opened all the way...and they still tried to find fault with our car. Why the tailgate doesn't open up all the way?

I have a new issue with my '02 Silverado, which so far has been a good truck. However, about a week ago when I tried to open the tailgate, the latch wouldn't release. I have yanked on the tailgate with my full weight (260 lbs) while pulling on the release handle, and have not had any success at getting it open.
The release handle seems to work OK, but the internal latch mechanism seems to be jammed in some way. I have even tried parking the truck on different surfaces, just to see if tilting the truck at different angles would loosen the latch, but that didn't work either.
It's as if the tailgate were welded shut. fortunately, most stuff I put in the bed isn't too heavy for me to lift over the gate or the bed sides, but I'd really like to have my tailgate working again. I have even thought that if I do get the gate open, that I'd disable the latch and install a hook-and-chain setup like what trucks had in the early 1960s and prior (since it's a work truck and I'm not planning to part with, it I'm not concerned about resale value).
Lexus LS 2007+ :: LS460 Trunk Will Not Open / Jammed
Last Sunday I packed the trunk of 2007 LS 460 full. When I closed the trunk a strap from a backpack became jammed into the trunk lock. The trunk would not open with either the key or the internal release. I called Lexus Road side support and they told me to go to a dealer. The dealer was able to open the trunk by disconnecting the battery for 10 seconds. After reconnecting the battery, they releasing the trunk using the internal release while another person pushed down on the lid. This took all of 10 minutes. None of these instructions are in the TIS database.

I have a strange problem with my front left (driver door) doorlock. I've changed the speaker, so i hade to remove the door panel. When I try to reassemble the door panel and the door lock I have some problems. I get everything in place, but the problem is that the door lock gets jammed. When I only close the door (not locking the door) I can open the door. But when I lock the door, then unlock it, I don't manage to open the door. I then have to fast pull the outside two times real hard, and then the door opens. I have discovered the problem. The door seems fine when I remove this cable: But if I remove the cable, I can't open the door from the outside.

Just got a 2003 Touareg V10 and have come home and the rear left window is jammed in the open position - no amount of button pressing will move it. It is now taped up until 2moro when I can get it to the garage.

Santa Fe (CM - 2007-12) :: Tailgate Will Not Open When Using Key Fob
2007 Santa Fe tailgate will not open. When I use the key fob it goes through the lock and lock motion. When I grab the handel and squeeze the tailfate does not open. I took inside pannel off and checked and nothing seems broken. Also, sprayed wd40 to lube.

On my Hyundai Accent 2007 (3 door) I accidentally closed tail gate without pushing the outside handle off me, as the manual recommends. After that I am unable to open the tail gate, neither manually turning the key clockwise nor with keyless fob by pushing UNLOCK button. I do hear that it unlocks however when pulling handle towards me, I simply can't open the hatch. Driver's and passenger doors open and close fine. I've checked the manual from cover to cover and verified every single thing that it talks about, but still no result.

I've just got a new to me 2007 Santa Fe and it's full of electrical gremlins. Today's problem is the idiot light indicating the tailgate is open is always on and the light in the hatch and the alarm randomly come on as well... the neighbours are not impressed. I can't find any pin switch on the hatch and where the switch is located. Is it a magnetic sensor? perhaps on the lock mechanism?
There is so little technical info available for these vehicles. I've always had VWs and the tech support online is insane. Hope i can resolve these problems as it seems like a good vehicle.

Having issue where the tailgate will not open if the key is in ignition and the engine is on? My tailgate stays locked and I tried to use the keyfob and nothing....I had to turn the ignition off in order for it to open.

I have an 05 chevy colorado and I cant seem to get the tailgate to open. When you pull the handle to open it, you feel a slight click like you would if it would open but it wont budge. I have a 2004 F150 Fx4 and i just locked the tailgate for the first time and now i cannot unlock it. I turned it clockwise to lock it and I am trying to turn it counter clockwise to unlock it and it seems like its putting too much tension on the key.... Am I doing something wrong?

My key fob doesn't open the tailgate window anymore. No noise that it unlocked, nothing. I tried the spare fob, same results. What would be entailed in repairing this? I changed a tailgate door actuator a few years ago & found that rather easy (with YouTube) so am not afraid to attempt it. I've searched around the web & haven't found anything useful.
Also, I do not see a manual way to open it. Am I right in assuming the fob is the only way?

So I'm having a tailgate issue. When I open my tailgate, sometimes the internal spring wants to keep it up, rather then letting it open down. It also makes an odd popping noise during operation from time to time......I don't see or feel anything broke in it.

I just got a 2011 LX 570. The power rear door/tailgate opens just fine when pressing the button inside the car, or on the key fob. And closing it works fine as well from there as well as from the button on the door. However, when I press the larger "unlock" button on the tailgate itself, it does not open by itself. I have to manually open it.
I've read in a couple of places that this is a setting that the dealer must changed...IE to make that large unlock button also open the tailgate by itself instead of having to manually open it.

I have a 1977 GMC Suburban with a power rear window in the tailgate.It has become very hard for the motor to open or close the window and it makes a screeching sound when being operated. Does the interior window frame need lubricated or is it rubbing on something?. I know there is a access plate on the inside of the tailgate but the window denies access to the inside of the tailgate. Is there a way to open the window when the tailgate is open so I can access the interior of the tailgate?.

Maybe I am paranoid, but recently I pushed power close button on the lift gate and a family member then also pushed the lift gate shut. Is it possible that the lift gate is broken now? It seems to work fine, but if I listen carefully I can hear some what seems to be grinding noises at the very top. Do the other RX power tailgates make a consistent sound throughout the open and close process.
