Honda - Fit :: 2007 - Engine Sounds Like It Is In Overdrive All The Time

I had the oil changed on my 2007 Honda Fit last weekend. Since that time, the engine sounds like it's in overdrive or high gear all the time. Even when stopped at a stop light, my car sounds like it's racing. Should I be worried? I checked and there is transmission fluid and oil in the car. I should add, this is the first time I've had the oil changed, I just bought this car (used) about 2 months ago, from a certified Honda dealer.

All regular maint has been completed timely on my 2007 Honda Accord; however, I hear a honking noise (sounds like a goose) when I accelerate sometimes. I've taken the car in but there are no codes that come up and they don't know what's wrong with it. I thought it was traction system.

I've got a 1982 automatic chevy 454 engine with only 46,000 miles on it (in my Winnebago RV). It runs just fine except each time I step on the gas pedal from a stopped position for an instant it sounds like the engine is about to die and then it starts going. Is this a major engine problem or something that requires minor adjustments? I want to sell the RV. If it's going to cost a lot to fix, I'd rather lower the price of the rig.

I have owned car for 2 months.
Last few weeks the engine sounds louder at idle and there some vibration. The passenger side wiper arm vibrates due to engine vibration.

I have a 2006 Honda Odyssey with a little less than 50,000 miles on it. I love my car!! It is so comfortable and so durable. But.. lately if I have been driving at a high rate of speed, such as on the highway,for an extended period of time (at least 20 minutes) when I slow down or come to a stop it sounds like a quiet fire engine siren. I can't think of any other way to describe. Of course, I took it to my Honda service center and they couldn't replicate the sound. I even took the service person for a ride, but we didn't go far enough for it to happen. They said they gave it a thorough once over, but it is still happening. I don't want to take it back to them until I have something to guide them in the right direction. I love my Honda and I really want it to last me a very long time.

A problem has started with my son's 2008 Honda Civic EX Coupe 2D....
When completely cold, the engine on starting sounds very loud, a bit like an aero engine. On warming up however, the engine noise returns to normal. This problem apparently started quite suddenly, a few months ago. It is difficult to express a sound in words, but if the normal engine makes a Vrooom sound, then the sound when cold is more like an Aaaaaarrrr. I lifted the bonnet, and looking at the engine compartment, the sound seems to eminate from the left hand side of the engine block.
I did notice that when accelerating from a Stop sign just after starting the car, that I could here the engine revving up over the Aaaaarrrrr noise, and it seemed to be normal.
For reference, I am a qualified Engineer, but have little experience in car repairs. My practical knowledge goes as far as changing the battery, spark plugs or oil/air filters.

I am suddenly having difficulty starting my car. It will consistently turn over, but sounds as if it's running down the battery - right away, I don't sit for more than a few seconds with the ignition switch engaged. I turn the key to the off position and try again and it will has started up by the 3rd try every time so far. Once it starts, it runs great - no problems what so ever.
I replaced the battery about a month and a half ago so I suspected that perhaps I got a bad battery. I took the car by autozone to have them test the battery and alternator - both tested "good," But I should note that this was actually the second time I took it to autozone this weekend and the battery tested good but low charge the first time (It was fully charged this time and I had just had trouble cranking. I thought I had just killed the battery because I was using a cell phone battery charge and thought it was just drawing too much).
I suspected the starter may be going bad, but I'm not sure because it will turn the engine over every time, it just doesn't start. The girl at autozone suggested it may be the voltage regulator but I thought that that along with issues with the alternator itself would be noticeable if I ran the car with the lights, radio, etc on? I read that it could be the plugs or wires, but I would think in that case the battery wouldn't sound as if it were run down right off the bat.

So my lovely wife tells me that something sounds sounds like it is rubbing from underneath the hood of my Lexus. So I take it to the dealership and they tell me it's the the the tensioner for the timing belt needs to be replaced. So I have them replace it and In the process they tell me that it sounds like there is something wrong with the fuel pump but they were able to quiet down though I don't understand how. Anyway after I pick the car up it sounds exactly the same as it did when I left it, personally I don't feel like I should pay for labor on this repair but besides that I don't understand what this issue could be. I have a Honda CR-V that has had its 'check engine light' on for some time. Hoping all i had to do was change the plugs. There was engine oil in all 4 spark plug wells. Car has 150k on odo.

My 2002 f150 blows the overdrive fuse (#29) every time the overdrive tries to engage. Could it be the overdrive switch? Where is that switch? Could it be a speed sensor? Truck has an automatic transmission and a 5.4 engine.

Recently the check engine light has started coming on every time I drive on the highway. At approximately the 5th mile of my ride, the light comes on but I cannot detect any symptoms, the car runs great. This rarely if ever happens when driving in the city, only on the interstate. My 94 accord lx just received a replacement motor and tranny from jdm auto.its from a 95 odyssey. I had to swap throttle bodies, distributor... from the old one cuz the new one didn't have cruise control components, external coil... Now its seems rather gutless and it wont down shift when in d4 or d3 unless I come to complete stop, but sometimes it stays in 4th which sucks at an intersection! Also the shifter moves freely from first to neutral without pressing the button. and of course check engine light is on constantly. I've played with tranny cables fuses are good, reset ecu, fluid is new... every thing seems fine and the tranny that we took out down shifted fine so I must be missing something simple. timing?

It sounds like a huge, happy cat in a tunnel when turning right and accelerating at the same time. It's an echoing whirring/purring sort of sound. What it could be? It also clunks in the rear with slight vibration. Could this be caused by an issue with the rear suspension or the engine mounts or something else?
Also, the locks seem to be possessed. When I try to unlock all the doors by pulling up on the driver's lock, the rest of the doors either unlock perfectly or lock harder, i.e.,all the passenger locks slam down and cannot be retracted. Sometimes the locks will either lock and unlock or lock and lock harder on their own while I'm driving.

Last oil change at the dealer (they're free) I informed the service desk of some knocking and grinding noises that are happening from time to time in the front end.. and fluid in the driveway.. they did the oil and said they saw nothing... so I have to go back next week for my last free oil change and before I made the appointment, I dropped in to see my regular mechanic.. steering rack is leaking on the passenger side and has been for a while as the fluid is down to the minimum line in the reservoir.
Made the appointment with the dealer, informed them about the noise again and fluid on the driveway.. again. Let's see what they say this time.

Over the past year we have been noticing that the HVAC blower doesn't turn on from time to time. All settings in the control panel seem normal and the fan speed is turned on. Most of the time everything is working normally, sometimes when the car starts the blower isn't working and then starts after a minute of driving. Sometimes I notice the blower isn't working and I turn up the fan speed and after a few clicks it starts working normally for the remainder of the drive. And then sometimes the blower doesn't ever start and I need to turn off and restart the car a few times. When the blower hasn't been working the a/c compressor has been turning on, something in the blower circuit is failing.
There are five possibilities:
The HVAC controller isn't telling the blower to turn on
The power relay isn't always working
There is a wiring or connection problem
The blower motor itself isn't working
The power mosfet is failing.
What needed to be replaced?

When I set the locks and alarm after driving with the AC on, the horn sounds muffled. If the AC was not on, it sounds normal. I am curious, should I expect this to come back? Is it a sign of a problem I need to concern myself with?
I suspect it's the battery, and just had it replaced today because the dealer said it was functional, but holding less of a charge than it should.
