Birth Control :: Ovulation And Birth Control Pill, Still New To Taking Pill

I consider myself to still be new to taking the pill as a form of birth control. Just when I think I have it figured out, something new would happen which would make me doubt it's effectiveness.

I am currently using Chateal, which contains 21 active pills and 7 placebo pills. After 6 months of taking it as directed, I assume my body should be used to the side effects. I would get nausea from taking it so I switched to taking it at night. I have been taking it that way for 3 months now.

But I have noticed since first started taking it, I would get severe cramps and backaches during the second week of the pack for a few days. I assumed I was ovulating while on the pill because I noticed my cervical mucus changes throughout the month. My understanding though is the pill is to prevent ovulation thus preventing pregnancy.

Can you ovulate while on the pill? Is my birth control pill type too low of a dose for me? Could it be something else?

Birth Control :: FromCombined (Gederal) Pill To The Mini (Cerelle) Pill?

I have been on the combined pill (Gederal) for a couple of years now but my doctor wants to change me to the Mini Pill (Cerelle). My Combined pill is perfect so i don't want to change. I mentioned that i had one migraine with visual disturbance and she explained to me that even one of these migraines is a reason to come off the combined pill. The combined Pill regulated my periods but she explained that this mini pill is now going to make me irregular.

I just got my period in Jan 9th and I ended it on Jan 19 which is when I got my implanon removed and was sexually active with no protection, I noticed I bled the following morning so would that be normal? Could my body be getting used to not having the implanon on. Should I be concerned?

Implanon - How Effective It Is For Birth Control

I'm 17 and I've been on birth control for an entire year. I've tried every type of birth control but me and my boyfriend have always used condoms. On September 18, the second day of my period, I had implanon inserted. We still used condoms for two weeks to be safe. We just started having unprotected sex. I've done the research and stuff but I could use some reassurance as to how effective it is. Have any of you been pregnant on it? I'm just a little unsure as to how good it is because I'm 17 and really am NOT ready for a baby. Also my period is expected October 16-ish, I'm not overweight and my rod implant was inserted correctly if this helps.

Birth Control :: Pregnant On Implanon?

I have been on Implanon for almost 3 years with no problems at all. It expires in October and I am due to have it changed next week. For the last two weeks or so I have had all of the symptoms I had with all 3 of my pregnancies. Nausea, headaches, cramping, tender breasts, backache, frequent urination, increased vaginal discharge and MAJOR mood swings!! I took a test yesterday and it was negative but I am not yet late so I kind of expected that. My last period began 7/30 but it was light and short. If I am pregnant, will my obgyn be able to tell this is I go to my appt. on 8/28? I obviously do not want to replace it if I could be pregnant! Also I was reading that Implanon may not be as effective in overweight women and I am approximately 70 lbs. overweight. Does anyone know if this is true?

Birth Control :: No Periods After Implanon Removal

I've had my implanon out for two weeks after having it in for 2 yrs and 8 months. I did not have a period the whole time I was on it. Now after 2 weeks I have had a couple days of brown discharge and 1 day of light pink discharge. I have not had sex since having it removed but did have sex about a week prior. Does anyone know how long after removal it takes for flow to return and why I keep getting the discharge?

Birth Control :: Implanon - What The Pregnancy Symptoms?

I'm 18 and have 6 weeks left of my implanon before I have to get it changed. I'm fatigue , sore nipples for the past week, sharp pain in the left lower side of abdomen especially when I sit down and have put on a lot of weight and a slight appetite loss. My periods are irregular I could have it for one day then 2 weeks later I'll have it for 8 days and not have a period for weeks. Also get headaches a lot. I heard that you could take pregnancy tests and they come out negative when you are pregnant? I wonder what pregnancy symptoms are on the implanon..

Birth Control :: Have Implanon And Some Pregnancy Symptoms?

I have had the implanon since January 2011.

I recently have been feeling some symptoms that could be considered pregnancy symptoms, such as breast tenderness, cramps and feeling more emotional than usual. These have been going on now for almost 2 weeks.

I was just wondering if it is possible for me to be pregnant? I would normally ask my GP but they always just assume if you have the implant you aren't.

I last had sex 4 weeks ago, would signs of pregnancy show this soon, or am I just worrying over nothing?

I haven't had a period since July last year except one random in June this year, so I can't even use that to tell.

Birth Control :: Implanon No Periods For 4 Months

I've been on the Implanon Birth Control for a good 4 months now. I had a weird discharge of old blood a week after it was effective. Since then i haven't had a period at all. It's been months now. Also having stomach pains every night for the past 2 weeks. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Contraception :: Implanon Birth Control - Opinions?

I am looking for input as far as the Implanon birth control implant. I have read pages upon pages about this and how it works. However, I'd like to hear a few personal experiences if possible. My insurance covers 100% of the cost, so that is not an issue.

A little about me: I'm going to be 24 in a few short days. My fiance' and I do not have any interest in having children in the next five to eight years. We have a number of long-term goals, and are just not ready for a child any time in the near future.

Thanks in advance!

Birth Control :: Implanon Causing Excessive Bleeding

I've had the implanon for about a year and a half now. When it was first put in, my periods occurred every few months or so and when they did appear, they were very light with mild to moderate cramps. In the past 10 months or so, I find myself on my period for 1-2 months at a time. I experience moderate to severe cramps, headaches, bloating, lower back pain, and restlessness.  Typically, I only have about 2 weeks interval until I'm bleeding again. I was just curious as to if anyone else has had the implanon and experienced the same problems. I want to just ride out the year, year and a half until it needs to be taken out but not if I'm going to continuously be miserable.

Correlation Between Implanon (nexplanon) Birth Control Implant And Panic Attacks?

Has anyone heard of the correlation between the birth control implant and severe anxiety and depression? I have had the implant place in Feb, and panic attacks have started with a vengeance, everyday and sometimes multiple times in a day for almost a month. I have read articles that it can cause an increase in anxiety and blood pressure (mine his been unusually high). Does anyone else have experience with this?

Hair Loss :: Birth Control Pill

I'm a 23 year old female with pcos. About 5 months ago I started taking bcp to help regulate my period. I was prescribed level. It worked great until about 3 months when I noticed that my hair started shedding like crazy. I went to my doctor who switched me onto zoely, which is supposed to contain a natural estrogen.she said to go back in 2.5 months and if my hair loss hasn't stopped by then we can discuss other options. I've been on zoely for one month so far and if anything my hair loss has increased. Does anyone have any experience with switching bcp and how long it takes for the hair loss to stop? My hair has thinned quite a bit and I'm scared that continuing taking the pill could make it worse. But also stopping the pill I know can trigger another bout of hair loss too.

Birth Control :: 50 , No Periods 4 Years - Still Take Pill?

I had hormones tested and I am in menopause. I have not had a period in 4 years. Only been off the pill for a month after being on it for a long time. I am told I should still use condoms for birth control, which myself and hubby don't like at all. Chances of getting pregnant may not be likely but can happen. I really prefer to use nothing, but I don't want to end up with a pregnancy at this age. Anyone in their 40's and 50's have gone through this? What was your choice of birth control when the doctor takes you off the pill? Should I not worry about it and use zero protection? Do you think my doctor is being ridiculous?
