Deep Breath :: My Throat And Chest Hurt

Hello,
Ok so two days ago on august first i had a allergic reaction, this is the first major reaction that I’ve ever had, and oh btw I’m 18 years old (this also may be the only allergic reaction I’ve ever had, because I’m not sure how to tell :s). So this happened right after i ate dinner, i had meat, tomatoes, eggs, rice and cucumbers. Like 10 mins later my stomach starting hurting A LOT so i went to the washroom, as I was in the washroom my face started to itch and got really hot, within minutes there was a bunch of mosquitoes like bites all over my face and some on my upper body. However after i used the washroom they seemed to not be as bad, however I’m not sure if it was because i went to the washroom that got rid of the mosquito like bites or just my natural body because i went to sleep not long after.

The morning of the next day I thought everything was fine, however when i was walking to the bus stop i felt a little weird in my chest if i took a deep breath but i thought it was nothing so i ignored it.
It was my first day actually working after training, so i put in 110% of my effort taking my lunch almost at 3pm (I started at 9 yesterday). by 3pm i kind of felt like there was something in my throat, well like it just felt really weird, but i thought that was because i talked to much (I work as a bank teller) and my lack of water. After i had lunch and water i felt a little better.

By the time i left my work, i felt like i couldn't breathe fully, it felt like something was clogged in my air way. When i got home and drank water, it only made things worse, now my stomach was also hurting and i was no longer able to keep my back straight as it would cause chest pains, however at this point my throat was not hurting yet, it just felt like it was clogged. I sat on a chair for about 20 mins and then I had a few large burps and that seemed to have gotten rid of my stomach pains. I didn't eat much dinner, and went to bed very early.

By the time I was in bed I have extreme throat pains when i shallow anything, it hurts when you touch it (only the front), and it even hurts if i don't touch it, however it didn’t seem to affect my speaking to much. Also my chest was in a lot of pain, especially when i try to stand straight or take deep breaths. (throat is hurting more then my chest)

I drank some Chinese herbal medicine and took a Tylenol.

I was just wondering if someone could tell me if this sounds like just a common flu and if there anything I should do that will help my body feel better faster it would be much appreciated. Thanks

OH in addition it's been really hot here, at like 30 degrees C

Thanks again
and one more thing, i feel very tired body wise not as much as sleepy but like tired like after a long work out (But this may be due to my lack of eating dinner) and i had a slight and still do have a slight headache

Polymyalgia Rheumatica :: Chest Pain And Painful When Coughing Or Taking Deep Breath

I was diagnosed with PMR almost two years ago , now down to 4 mg of prednisone a day. I generally am feeling very good except I have some chest pain when I breath deeply and cough. At times it feels like I have a lung problem caused by smoking except I never did smoke.  I have been fully checked out by cardiac specialists and they tell me my heart is excellent. I am careful regarding diet and exercise regularly. Have anyone had similar pain ?  Thanks

Respiratory Disorders :: Shortness Of Breath, Light Headed, Breath Stuck In Stomach

I am debating if I should go to the Emergency Room, as it's a Sunday. My story - 26 year old male, healthy. Since age 10, I have had an intermittent feeling of my breath being stuck in my upper abdomen (solar plexus area) and a little in my chest but not much. Sometimes when going for a deep breath, I feel pain in the chest, but very rare. It almost feels like there is a wall in between my stomach and my lungs that prevents air coming out. I know it's weird because you breath out of your lungs not your stomach. The only way it comes out is when I finally catch my breath, which means I need to wait for it to be able to escape and then I finally get the deep breath I need. Also yawning often allows the breath to occur. When this is happening, I can still breath but it's like only 10% of my lungs fill up with air, like someone is standing on the other 90% of my lungs, preventing them from filling up.

My BASELINE/ usual status is having the breath being stuck symptom maybe 10 times a day, usually while eating. This has become normal for me and I don't even think about it until people who I am eating with say, "what is wrong with you?"

When it is GOOD, it happens even less, maybe once a day and I will barely realize it happened.

When it is BAD, it happens often, maybe 20 times an hour.

The last week it has been EXTREME to the point where I will be struggling for a full breath once a minute. It is so bad that I have been feeling light headed (main reason for the alarm here). I have class on weekends and I was walking to the train for class, and my body was telling me to stay home (i am the type of person who doesn't make a big deal out of anything and never skips stuff).

Background- I sleep very well, usually 7-8 hours a night, am very healthy, 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, run 6 miles 3 times a week (it happens the same when I run but it doesn't prevent me from running), played sports my whole life, doctors always tell me my blood work and everything is off the charts good. The reasons I just listed, combined with my Mom (nurse) always telling me I am fine have made me stop seeking cures for this. I had every test under the sun done when I was 15 (EKG, Barium Swallow, Blood work, etc) and everything came back clear. I have a concave chest (my chest caves in) and the doctor told me that my chest bone is interfering with my breathing (eyes rolling). But now that I am feeling light headed, I think it's time to go to the emergency room. I am going to go to a heart center in my town (Brooklyn, NY). Also, I LOVE doing research about stuff and have been reading about this a lot and tons of people have similar symptoms which has comforted me. But now it's time for me to get tested again I think. Maybe this just talked me into going to the ER.

Bad Breath - Lactose Intolerant - Nappy Breath After Eating Chocolate And Ice-cream

For as long as I can remember I have suffered with fart/baby nappy breath especially after eating chocolate and ice-cream, but worst of all even after brushing teeth and drinking water etc. I'm lactose intolerant, but never really had stomach pains unless I drink milk or eat ice-cream. Also my saliva stinks and I have a whitish tongue.

I'm now in my 40's and finally plucked up courage to go to my GP.

I had an h-pylori breath test in July this year and surprise, surprise was positive. I had metronidazole, Amoxycillin and omeprazole for 1 week. At the time my saliva stopped stinking and I thought I was getting better breath. However a few weeks on and my mouth tasted horrible again and I could smell my own fart/garbage stench when talking to people.

I asked my doctor to retest for h pylori, but he said I need to wait a year, even though the test kit says you can repeat a month after taking antibiotics. How else can I tell if the treatment worked, and then tell if it is the culprit of my bb?

I know this is nothing to do with my mouth care as I have an immaculate regime and people often say how white my teeth are. Unfortunately people also keep brushing their noses when I'm talking and I get the odd "have you farted?" comment.

I am married with kids and it never bothers me when I'm at home, but I know the problem exists and am desperate to solve or at least reduce the problem.

Asthma :: Shortness Of Breath Feels Like 60%-70% Of A Breath

Went to ER last night because of shortness of breath that started the day before, with neck and back pain. I could/can seem to breath normally but then I feel like I need a deep breath and I can only get what feels like 60%-70% of a breath. Every 2 minutes or so I can get a "full" breath. EKG, blood test, X-ray, d dimer all came back normal last night and I was discharged. Nebulizer treatment had no affect. Vitals were okay over 4 hours with the exception of my oximeter level dropping below 90 a few times (as low as 86). It recovered within 30 seconds each time.

I am 28/male and have a history of mild asthma, non-smoker. I also have 2 herniated discs (l4/l5 & l5/s1, and l3/l4 bulging, with chronic back spasms). Albuterol inhaler, allergy medication shows no improvement.

I have purchased a pulse oximeter and tonight my oximeter level (not pulse) has fallen below 90 (4 times), but each time recovering to 92+ withing 30 seconds.

Pretty Deep Sex And Uterus Bleeding

Last night my boyfriend and I were having sex. He is quite larger than my previous boyfriends. Anyway, he was going pretty deep and he noticed I had bleed. I don't understand why there has been complications with being intimate with one another. He is constantly saying he doesn't want to hurt me but that's the thing, he isn't hurting me. I didn't know I was bleeding until he said something. This is the second time this has happened and I don't understand. Can it be that my body is not use to his size?

Migraine :: Deep Cramp Pains In Legs?

Been suffering migraines since I was very young, junior school I believe. Am now 23 and for the most part learnt to live with migraines. I get them more commonly in hot weather but have always just dosed myself up and tried as hard as possible to get through the working day and broke down when I get home. Last sunday however I got a migraine which was relentless, on the wednesday I started getting sudden bursts of agonising pain on top of the migraine a few times an hour roughly which would have be wriggling about and then it would suddenly stop and go back to a normal migraine. I had this until the friday when I was sleeping and got this burst of pain so much worse that I was screaming into the bed and pulling at my hair, I either fell straight asleep or passed out briefly after and woke migraine free. On that friday and since ive been getting deep crampy pains in my lower legs. Anyone know of any of these symptoms or the leg thing and whether it's related or why it may happen?

Deep Vein Thrombosis :: Warfarin And Smoking

My husband had an idiopathic DVT in late 2012. He has been taking

Warfarin ever since, and has recently been told he will be on it for life due

to being a smoker. He is desperate to be in a position to stop taking it and has recently stopped smoking. He realises this won't happen immediately but has no idea how long it is likely to take to get to that position. Does anyone have any idea what kind of time frame for coming off the Warfarin after stopping smoking is likely? He won't be starting smoking again!

HIV Risk Assessment :: Tounge Bite (blood) While Deep Kissing

I had a risky encounter with high risk girl 7.7 years ago which looked protected as I wore two condoms and one condom seems to have broke and second one looked intact, since then I didn't had sex, I recently fell in love with one girl and we did a frottage followed by heavy deep kissing and which was then followed by oral sex on her ,

I guess during the process of our deep kissing she probably might have bit my tongue a little and in the process of lovemaking I didn't realised that.

After I performed oral sex I realised..there might be some blood on my tongue which might facilitate HIV infection to her, Although I myself don't know whether I am infected with HIV, but with the assumption I am HIV infected , is it possible she can get HIV infected from these route??...it's been eight months I am avoiding to be intimate with her and been total paranoid about HIV infection for her.

After exactly 22 days post that incident ,she was down with bad sore throat, chills, lost weight a little bit.

Wound Care :: Deep Laceration Couldn't Be Stitched On Index Finger

I have a pretty deep laceration to my left index finger but the way that I cut it they could not stitch so they put something they called liquid stitch on it to close it up which has worn off now. It has been 2 weeks now and my finger is very stiff sand I can not bend it at all. Also it aches from time to time and is very itchy. Should I be worried or should i give it more time to heal?

Stinging Pain - Back Of My Left Knee - Deep Vein Thrombosis?

I'm freaking out so I'll try to make sense. I woke up this morning with a stinging pain in the back of my left knee and I read that this might be a symptom of Deep Vein Thrombosis and it has scared me. I had blood tests done a month ago and they all came back clear. I don't sit too long, don't travel on planes and have no prior family history of clots if that helps.

Deep Vein Thrombosis Post Thrombotic Syndrome - Minor Surgery

My son had a large DVT in his left leg and was told to take Warfarin and wear compression stocking but nothing else could be done. We have learnt through Thrombosis UK charity  that there is treatment available at St Thomas' Hospital in London. My son has had several visits for tests and now is going to have minor surgery to stent his blocked and scarred veins to improve his blood flow and alleviate swelling. Good news for a change.

Deep Vein Thrombosis :: Nagging And Annoying Slightly Painful Weakness In The Knee

i have a had a behind the knee DVT (4 weeks) diagnosed by Doppler scan, started heparin and now warfarin, swelling and pain has subsided quickly but I still have a nagging and annoying slightly painful weakness in the knee, annoying when out straight and weak when turning, it just doesn't feel like in used to, is this normal this early on and will it be staying?

i was lucky, D-DImer was 378, the nurse wasn't going to send me for a scan as I didn't fit all the symptoms on the day of referral but she said something was nagging at her about it, I think all the photos of my swollen calf swayed it.

Ramipril And CHF While Also Having COPD

I have COPD along with CHF. My blood pressure is normal. Have only 20% use of mitral valve. ( Cardiomyopathy). I was put on 60 mg of Furosemide (Diuretic) then 2.5 mg. Then after 2 months I am now at 7.5 mg.

My question is I have a constant cough, pulling up mucus. It starts with a real itchy throat and then the coughing. There is no relief. It goes on for anytime 7 to 15 minutes stop and then starts again. At night it is worse.

I am afraid that my COPD will get worse. Please let me hear from you if you have the same problems.
